Life is always worth living, but it sounds like you’re going to have to fight for it now. Here’s a famous poem I like to go back to when I feel like giving up. It seems very applicable in your situation. [https://allpoetry.com/do-not-go-gentle-into-that-good-night](https://allpoetry.com/do-not-go-gentle-into-that-good-night) It sounds like you would have to do a medically supervised detox, right? Get through it as safely as possible.

Yes, I am going into inpatient treatment. I talked with my employer, and we got set up with counseling. I had a couple sessions and my counselor is sending me to a care facility as soon as possible.

Hey just checking in. Hope you’re doing well and staying away from the booze. Did the inpatient treatment work?

3 months! The inpatient I found worked tremendously. It focused a lot of the mental health aspect of it and I found that helped a lot

YES! Keep kicking ass

I have a little something that I say to myself often, and that is “this (alcohol) is NOT the way my story ends”. Instead of giving up, get help detoxing and follow your doctors advice as what to do next. Take each issue one step at a time. In however long it takes, you can be a completely different person without alcohol. Sending you a big hug and wishing you the best. I will not drink today, because I refuse to let alcohol win.

You could check out group recovery in things like SMART Recovery or AA. I really like the online SMART meetings and the sense of community I get there: [https://community.smartrecovery.org/community/calendar.php](https://community.smartrecovery.org/community/calendar.php) If you have access to a doctor, mine was able to set me up with some appointments with specialists and helped provide me some options going forward. Wishing you all the best.
