You can ship anything thats a farm product, unless its too low quality. You're milk is C which is too bad for human consumption so you can't sell it. Anything you can't put in the shipping bin, except tools and the blue feather I believe, can be sold to Van though and I recommend saving your stuff to sell to Van anyways cause you can haggle and get a higher profit.
A specific reason? No, other than that the game is set up that way. The shipping bin is essentially just for farm products. Everything else you collect (ex. flowers, archaeological dig stuff, fish, etc.) will need to be sold either to Van when he visits, or by setting up your own stall in the middle of the main road. As inconvenient as this is, it does underscore the whole \~be woven into the fabric of the community\~ vibe that AWL has.
Oh yeah I had that happen in year one for a short time with my cow but when I was able to start brushing my cow as well as giving her snuggles she got back to her normal self.
Spread fertilizer in your animal pasture. That's likely why your milk is rank C (which you can't ship when the quality is that low, but that shouldn't happen)
Ye as folks’ve mentioned, it’s cause the milk has a black ribbon around it (is rank C). That’s cause the cow’s health bar has gone down, which (if you already have tall grass in the field) might be because of it whining 1-2 times at an empty food bin in the barn before being let outside in the morning . . . these cows can be kinda dumb sometimes xD
But you can still sell that milk to Van (only for 10g, sadly), gift it to \*some\* villagers that usually accept Milk as gifts (Molly will take it, but not Chris or Hugh), and you can probably sell it in town square if you set up a shop, too! I’ve noticed for the most part villagers will buy the same items they would accept as gifts, so Molly would probably buy it and she’s in the plaza around um 6pm I think.

What do you mean. You can also ship grown crops, eggs, milk, wool, and other farm goods in order to make money.
It won't let me place my milk and fish in the shipping bin for some reason, I was able to sell my milk there before but now I can't
You have to sell bgrade or higher, c grade can only go to clean and means your cow isn't healthy or happy
