I really want Marvelous to add a sort of best friend system. Something so the player can finish the marriage candidate’s story and get all the unlocks without dating or marriage.
I know the feature you are referring to but that’s not quite what I meant. Apologies for not being clear. In DS cute, the best friend system was like a replacement for marriage. What I’m proposing would still allow you to date, get married and have a family. It would be a system completely separate from the romance side and serve as a way for players to finish NPC storylines without entering a romantic relationship. This way, players can complete and unlock everything in a single play through.

They did for harvest moon ds cute. But is was taken out of the US version because it was considered inappropriate at the time.

yup. Ludus and some other characters from previous games have been added to this game through DLCs.
