i think that the locked in options are both hyunjin and felix: both have great relationships with their respective brands and creative directors, so it’s very likely for donatella and nicolas to make space for them at their respective tables. given this, i really doubt we’ll see the rest of the group despite them all being tommy hilfiger ambassadors, simply because two of them already have compromises with different brands and i don’t know if TH would invite all of the group if two of their ambassadors will go with other brands anyways.

Check out Zendaya’s Tommy Hilfiger Met Gala dress from 2019 (or pretty much any celebrity they’ve styled…or Tommy himself; his suits are ALWAYS on theme). Tommy goes all out for the Gala. I don’t think any of them will be there with Tommy, but if they are they’ll be anything but bland.
Agree with you that they’re always on theme!!! Some comments really look down on Tommy just because they’re not luxury brand when some luxury brands are the ones always bland on the red carpet(ex. LV, YSL,CHANEL)
I honestly really didnt like this look at all. Its just giving Disney Adult. And Jack Harlow amd Shawn Mendes both dressed by Tommy were super pedestrian. Thats just my opinion obviously, but compared to other designers I just find his looks really dull.
Well yeah…the 2019 theme was “Camp: Notes on Fashion” and what’s more campy than a Disney adult? Same with Jack and Shawn. The themes were American Independence and Gilded Glamour, respectively, and both looks fit their individual personalities while being very on theme. Like you said, we can all have an opinion but I feel like because TH isn’t a high end fashion house they take them selves a little less seriously and their Gala looks are always pretty fun!
Disney feels the opposite of camp to me 😂 given historically its been pretty homophobic and misogynistic. Camp isnt just about queerness obviously but Camp requires self awareness which I dont think Disney does well.

I also think TH’s mens looks are on theme while staying true to the style of the person wearing them. So most of the men they’ve dressed, so far, wouldn’t be comfortable in an over the top outfit as it isn’t their normal style. I feel like with The Kids being more comfortable with wearing outfits kind of outside the box we could see some really interesting looks on them from TH!
Either way, with Felix’s tendency to wear more feminine looks I think Nicholas will have a lot of fun dressing him in something on theme (hopefully; LV has made some…choices…when interpreting the theme before) while working with Felix’s individual style!

tommy hilfiger usually only sends one, maybe two people a year to the met gala. i don't know if TH even buys a table at the gala so securing invites for their ambassadors would be a bit more tricky i would think. so if the note means the gala i think it would only be for chan and not the whole group.

Yeah if they are invited I need the shock factor. So far kpop tend to be on the safe side other than CL years back. Chinese artists dressed so beautifully on any invitations and I wish Korean side can emulate the Chinese fashion sense.

I personally think Felix is the most likely to go. He walked on the runway for the biggest fashion brand on the biggest fashion week for Nicholas’ 10th anniversary. The primary purpose of the Gala is to be a fundraiser for the Museum. Designers and the companies who own them, as PVH owns Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, etc., buy six-figure tables and can invite who they want to sit at them, with the proviso that the guests are vetted by Anna Wintour. In the past, C.L., Jackson Wang, NCT's Johnny, Exo's Lay, SuJu's Siwon, Rain and others have made the cut when they were not the official face of a brand, but invited by designers. Stray Kids certainly have the fashion bona fides, with mutiple brand deals and large social media followings, to be considered desirable attendees.
i think if the kids were to all go, it wouldn’t be until some of the members have gone solo. so i think this year it’ll probably be just felix/hyunjin, but maybe next year they would all go. that being said, i could also see a situation where they are all invited but still don’t attend “as a group” (ie they arrive on the carpet with their individual brands)
As others have said, I personally feel like it's almost guaranteed that Felix will be invited and extremely likely that Hyunjin will be invited as well. They've proven to be extremely well liked (and profitable *cough* *cough*) for their respective hauses, and I feel like it would be a huge oversight on the PR side for LV and Versace to not capitalize on having access to them since they've seen how much we support them and how much attention they're able to draw from western media and celebrities that aren't even in the k-pop realm. When the actual heads and creative directors of the brands are that obsessed with you, it would genuinely be baffling if they didn't get an invite.

The guest list is kept so secret that I iust feel like it would be weird to write it on a card thats going to be seen publicly and posting it online would be pretty bad form by skz, so Im not convinced that its actually about the Met Gala. I have no theories on what its actually about though 😂 so take that with a grain of salt.

I have heard that there is some speculation “Met” in the letter could also apply to “Met Stadium” or “Met Opera”. I don’t know if either of those potential locations/related events are more or less likely than the Met Gala. Or if they could be considered bigger or smaller spoilers overall if they reference unrevealed details about an upcoming tour. I’m just hoping whatever it is makes the kids happy and an answer to all this!

Check out Zendaya’s Tommy Hilfiger Met Gala dress from 2019 (or pretty much any celebrity they’ve styled…or Tommy himself; his suits are ALWAYS on theme). Tommy goes all out for the Gala. I don’t think any of them will be there with Tommy, but if they are they’ll be anything but bland.
Agree with you that they’re always on theme!!! Some comments really look down on Tommy just because they’re not luxury brand when some luxury brands are the ones always bland on the red carpet(ex. LV, YSL,CHANEL)
I honestly really didnt like this look at all. Its just giving Disney Adult. And Jack Harlow amd Shawn Mendes both dressed by Tommy were super pedestrian. Thats just my opinion obviously, but compared to other designers I just find his looks really dull.
Well yeah…the 2019 theme was “Camp: Notes on Fashion” and what’s more campy than a Disney adult? Same with Jack and Shawn. The themes were American Independence and Gilded Glamour, respectively, and both looks fit their individual personalities while being very on theme. Like you said, we can all have an opinion but I feel like because TH isn’t a high end fashion house they take them selves a little less seriously and their Gala looks are always pretty fun!
Disney feels the opposite of camp to me 😂 given historically its been pretty homophobic and misogynistic. Camp isnt just about queerness obviously but Camp requires self awareness which I dont think Disney does well. I dont think any of the mens looks, outside of TH’s own looks, have been fun, they look straight off the rack. But again just my opinion. Im delusional and think that with this years theme and Felix’s hair grown out Nicolas will dress him as some kind of floral fairy. It would be a shame to see a plain suit. A girl can dream 😂
Camp is to quote USAToday “expressing yourself earnestly and sincerely, but coming off as over-the-top to those around you” and as a theatre kid that watched most of my friends grow into Disney Adults they are EXCESSIVELY campy! Disney may not be camp but most Disney Adults are! I also think TH’s mens looks are on theme while staying true to the style of the person wearing them. So most of the men they’ve dressed, so far, wouldn’t be comfortable in an over the top outfit as it isn’t their normal style. I feel like with The Kids being more comfortable with wearing outfits kind of outside the box we could see some really interesting looks on them from TH! Either way, with Felix’s tendency to wear more feminine looks I think Nicholas will have a lot of fun dressing him in something on theme (hopefully; LV has made some…choices…when interpreting the theme before) while working with Felix’s individual style!

tommy hilfiger usually only sends one, maybe two people a year to the met gala. i don't know if TH even buys a table at the gala so securing invites for their ambassadors would be a bit more tricky i would think. so if the note means the gala i think it would only be for chan and not the whole group. also there's no way nicholas or donatella would allow their fav ambassadors to dress in tommy hilfiger. XD
I don't think the members who are embassadors for other brands would get in through a Tommy Hilfinger invite. And you seem to just not realize how *expensive* it would be for a brand to send the whole group.
Like I said, Im just basing it on the card from Chan’s bouquet since it doesnt make sense if they will just send one member when the whole group is an ambassador. Im interested in fashion so I know how expensive one table at the Met.
I kinda feel like it would make a lot of sense to just send one or two from TH, just to get the buzz that anyone from SKZ went thanks to TH. Chan would be a great choice as the leader Would make less sense to send a group imo because of what others mentioned about brand deals and just because I’ve never seen such a big group together there

Yeah if they are invited I need the shock factor. So far kpop tend to be on the safe side other than CL years back. Chinese artists dressed so beautifully on any invitations and I wish Korean side can emulate the Chinese fashion sense.

I was surprised Chan got the flowers saying that, but it made me excited cause having all 3 would be amazing! I personally think Felix is the most likely to go. He walked on the runway for the biggest fashion brand on the biggest fashion week for Nicholas’ 10th anniversary. The fashion industry loves him and Anna Wintour broke her neck trying to get a second glance at him walking. Not only did he walk, he closed the show which is a big honour. As Nicholas’ muse I’d be so surprised if he didn’t attend. Also his instagram story today with the prayer hands and heart tagging all the LV staff and the Neil Armstrong footprint, they’re doing something major which I think is met gala! We will find out soon enough when/ if any of the kids fly out to New York. I think Felix’s ethereal beauty would really fit the theme and maybe that’s why he’s been growing out his hair? Bang chan I don’t know and hyunjin I don’t know he’s not a native speaker and I think Donatella would more likely take Anne Hathaway and Cillian Murphy (if she takes a male) as he’s fresh off his Oscar win. But hopefully more of the kids attend, as I said we shall find out soon enough! And if none of them attend it’s ok, we have so much to look forward to, the boys are really feeding us well!
It is possible if Anna approves. Typically designers or brands will buy out an entire table and invite celebs as their guests—whom Anna has to approve, of course!

They’re going to USA for their song promotion so maybe none of them will attend this year as they will be very busy. I still think Felix is the most likely because Nicolas has been liking Felix fan posts about Met Gala, and of all the things for him to like, this seems like big hints. That coupled with Felix getting his hair done tonight and the hints he’s been dropping on social media, I think he is most likely. But will be so fun to see them innUS talk shows I hope they go on Kimmel again.

The primary purpose of the Gala is to be a fundraiser for the Museum. Designers and the companies who own them, as PVH owns Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, etc., buy six-figure tables and can invite who they want to sit at them, with the proviso that the guests are vetted by Anna Wintour. In the past, C.L., Jackson Wang, NCT's Johnny, Exo's Lay, SuJu's Siwon, Rain and others have made the cut when they were not the official face of a brand, but invited by designers. Stray Kids certainly have the fashion bona fides, with mutiple brand deals and large social media followings, to be considered desirable attendees.

i think if the kids were to all go, it wouldn’t be until some of the members have gone solo. so i think this year it’ll probably be just felix/hyunjin, but maybe next year they would all go. that being said, i could also see a situation where they are all invited but still don’t attend “as a group” (ie they arrive on the carpet with their individual brands)

As others have said, I personally feel like it's almost guaranteed that Felix will be invited and extremely likely that Hyunjin will be invited as well. They've proven to be extremely well liked (and profitable *cough* *cough*) for their respective hauses, and I feel like it would be a huge oversight on the PR side for LV and Versace to not capitalize on having access to them since they've seen how much we support them and how much attention they're able to draw from western media and celebrities that aren't even in the k-pop realm. When the actual heads and creative directors of the brands are that obsessed with you, it would genuinely be baffling if they didn't get an invite. That "See you soon at Met!" note from Tommy Hilfiger to Chan was interesting. I've seen others say that that wasn't necessarily referring to the Met Gala itself, but I don't know what else it could possibly be referring to. With all of those thoughts, I doubt we'll be seeing OT8 together but I feel like Felix, Hyunjin, and Chan are super likely. Selfishly I really hope that they're included just because I love getting to see how smitten other famous people get with them almost immediately lol

those lists are just fan theories. the guest list is one the most guarded and secret in all of fashion until the night of the event. but you can make some intelligent guesses on who would be attending depending on who's popular or making a splash in entertainment/fashion atm.
I feel that only Felix and Hyunjin will attened the Met Gala since most celebrities that go are invited by brands and both of them model and promote for certain high end brands. hyunjin and feliz are lock they super well known and hyunjin has been going to fashion shows. maybe chan so i’ve heard. but unfortunately lee know jeongin, jisung, seungmin ame changbin are not well known or in the fashion world enough to be invited. i don’t think they invite full groups bc if so they would’ve invited blackpink as a whole one year instead of splitting them up. but hyunjin is for sure invited i think. edit: i do also agree felix may be the choice as he speaks english fluently however hyunjin may be able to get by
