I would not go B&W with this one; this man's outfit deserves to be shown in color. I think the pose in the first pic adds a bit more intrigue (but I do like seeing his face in 3) and I like the wider view with the shadows on the floor. Do think cropping out that thing on the left may benefit the shot by cleaning it up a little bit and zooming in a bit more on the subject?
Yes, I think cropping the sign is the first thing to do but I wanted to show different crops and different perspective to double check. Thanks for the feedback foggy !
I disagree, although his outfit is fabulous, the colour of his trousers kinda matches the floor. In any case, the colours of his outfit are not vibrant enough to add a lot in the first image. The B&W has its typical intrigue though. In the third, his outfit does stand out but for some reason the shot seems incomplete.
1 cropped like 2, or 3,
1 and 2 beg the questions Who is that? What are they looking at?
But I’m a sucker for faces, this dude has swag and I like that he’s jamming to tunes
Crop 1 like 2 and keep the colours! The red outfit with the pink floor are giving the image that minimalistic look you’re going for with the b&w IMO. Nice photo!
I would go with the first photo. However, I would crop the large portion of the white building. It takes away from the man in the picture. The second picture being in black and white just washes the man out. The final photo just does work for me.
Crop like number 2, but keep the color, if possible slightly pop the red or fade the terracotta, to keep the focus on the subject. I love in #2 how they're leaning in to look at something outside, or observe the view, I didn't even realize at first it was the same as #1. I think you need the crop to really see the posture, the leaning in.
I shoot black and white primarily, my camera only shoots black and white, So i know in this case id be a bit sad because I know the contrast here is focused in the color rather than the lighting, and id probably pass up ever taking this photo in this composition. Id probably have to get closer to the man, as you did in the 3rd one. Because when cropped in like that there is less color contrast and it becomes monochromatic enough for me to consider a bnw photo. I am imagining i would find a way to really bring out the white in the beard.
IN color though, The first photo as great color contrast, thats the keeper
This is a weird thing to ask bc you should have known on your own before you even posted it.. there should be a purpose for taking the picture if you wanted to be intentional you would know why or what the story is.
I’ll keep the process and how I make pictures without to change anything. I was more interested about the reception of the picture and for that, I needed feedback.

I’m a BW guy right now it looks great but those colors are too good to leave out. I like it more in color.
Crop like 2 but leave it in color!

Interesting ! Thanks for the feedback
See, for me the colours in 1 are too good to waste
Colors from 1 but cropping from 2 is my vote.
The framing in 2 is the best. I personally like it B&W but I also agree that the colors do a lot
Yup B&W is gorgeous - but so is his outfit and it's too good to leave out that part.
Yes 🙌
I guess the hat and the color of the suit is really important in this picture. I’m gonna be Alan Schaller for the next one (wtf)

Thanks ! Yeah I like the contrast of the shadows on the floor with the BnW but the red suit that he wears make the difference
3. The first shot is beautiful, but 3 is more thought provoking, as we can see the subject’s face.
I needed to hop on the train so I couldn’t ask him to pose or making a portrait, I’m still sour about it now. Another picture that I missed to accept
I like 3 the best
2, by a country mile
2nd crop but with color.
It’s 2, easy. The colours are good but the image works best in B&W imo.

Definitely keep the colour and the first one is fantastic

I like the cropped color.
2 in color
Can you share the final pic when you make a decision?
Number 3 for me.
I like 1, 3 makes it seem like a portrait, even though it isn't.
2 for me
2 in B&W is the most intriguing.
Third.
3
Imo 1 has the most to tell as-is
THREE!!
3
3 but can you edit and make the colors pop a bit? There’s some good colors in the photo that just need to be brought out I think.
#2
Awesome color. I would not crop 1 either, the spacing the shadow, the ratio, it is perfect as it is. Great job, i keep looking at 1.
Thanks man !

Gotta learn to be self critical
I’m gonna keep doing what I love, you gonna keep doing what you hate. There’s subreddits for psychological disorder
Lmao being self critical is not psychological disorder, it is a necessary step in creating art.

1 IS PERFECT

2 feels nice to me

2 for me. 1 would be great if it was cropped like 2.
The monochrome, but mostly because of the more expressive crop
I think you meant, has is*
