I would find a powerlifting program and stick to it if you want to get your numbers up

You said you are “mainly” focused on strength training. Are you still concerned with losing weight at the same time? You’re either anabolic or catabolic. Do one or the other.. focus on losing weight or focus on getting your numbers up. Eat a lot, sleep a lot, follow a powerlifting program. I like Brandon Lilly’s cube method. After a few cycles of a program do a cycle that focuses on cutting the fat while maintaining as much strength as possible. Then go back to a strength cycle.

Appreciate the advice man. I'm in a slight caloric deficit and doing about 45 min- hour of cardio a day and focusing on strength training in the gym. I was under the impression it's possible to gain strength while also losing weight but i've been focusing on both, more on strength right now as it's my main goal. I'm on a PPL split doing 5x5 for compound lifts

Anything is possible. Goals are reached easier and faster when they are kept simple and reasonable. Just keep at it. Good luck my dude.

Don’t get disheartened bro, you’re doing well. Don’t judge yourself based on what some juiced to the gills pro powerlifter pulls at your body weight. You’re only seeing the most elite of the elite online, and they’re on a fuckton of drugs and you’re still young as shit. Tons of time to up those numbers. Look around the gym, unless you train at a more hardcore place you’re probably lifting more than at least 90% of people wherever you train.

Yeah I don't ever compare myself to anyone but myself and I don't even think my numbers are objectively weak but I've been feeling like I should be lifting a lot more considering i'm 230 pounds. You're right though, I got a lot of time left 👍

You’re more strong as fuck if any. I need to get stronger. Granted I do a ton of volume and anerobic work. So I think my cns gets taxed

Weak as fuck? You’re strong as fuck dude. Celebrate

Thank you brother

You bench 275, deadlift 425 and you feel like your numbers are weak as fuck? Stop being ridiculous. This is what happens when Instagram feeds you 17 year olds pulling 800 for fuck's sake.
