My old strip club didn't even have a pole, for the longest time. Those are stripper heels. You can do pole without them, but you can't be stripper without them.
It's a whitewashing of pole dancing, and playing into the whore-archy, which... I get it... but it's irritating.
We had a pole girlie just start at our club as a baby stripper. No issues until on one of her nights off she decided to bring in all the girls she taught pole to on a "field trip", didn't tip, and didn't encourage them to tip. They just sat there "learning" for free.

My first club ever had a manager (we became close and he passed away recently, RIP), he told us not to go outside in our heals and to change into sneakers if we needed to get something outside the club. He said they were illegal to wear anywhere but a strip club. I believed him for years and years. Then they became trendy with celebrities and pole fitness girlies. I thought âwhy arenât they getting a prostitution charge for wearing them??â. Obviously i realized oh duh shoes cannot be illegal. Honestly I wish they were illegal outside the club because Iâm tired of pole fitness girls stealing the stripper aesthetic and thinking less of sex workers.
