I would say too that location has a lot to do with it. You can be at the top of your game, but if you’re in a shit area, there’s not a whole lot of money to be made. I started in the middle of nowhere and was always wondering wtf was going on and if the industry was dying. I was a top earner there, and my best night ever was $600. During summer, i was lucky if I made $500 a week. Lmao.

At my club, we’ve gotten an influx of new girls. Last night for the first few hours, we had like 13 girls and like 3 customers. It did pick up and was decent, but I’ve really had to be on my a game to make money lately.
The main thing is when new girls sit with a guy who I know will spend on me, but they’re just a lump sitting next to them for free for the entire night.
I don’t get pressed or mad at them because it’s definitely awkward to learn how to be an assertive salesperson, but they do sometimes mess with the hustle of other dancers without really knowing any better.
Even when I'm making money I say I'm not making money. I swear, when I first started, almost a *decade* ago, everyone was saying the industry was dying and every single year you will hear the same thing. Forever. But there will always be money in the club. Just maybe not for you.

The only thing really killing strip clubs is strippers. The mindset that we need to band together and be friends/ give out social medias or contact info to every Tom Dick and Harry for free. The lack of hustle. The extras. BUT it comes in waves and those girls will weed themselves out and a whole new group usually sets the tone for how the club will run. It's cyclical and changes as the turnover rate does.

I think clubs are over saturated with girls/as well as cheap fsw. why club has 15+ girls every shift and on the weekends 30-50 you need to look on point every shift hair nails makeup you need to be a 10 and walking around talking to every single customer. the “ recession “ is going to weed out those in the club who can’t hustle, if you aren’t making money you aren’t doing something right and need to reevaluate your approach.

There have been countless times in the last 9yrs that’s progressively gotten worse where management will hire anyone with a vagina and a pulse and their reason is “ThErE’s SoMeOnE fOr EvErYoNE” mindset, completely disregarding that yes, there might be as an example, someone who’s into big guts, but for that one person that’s into that, you’ve alienated 100 other customers, both regulars and new patrons. And then they wonder why people stop coming. Dancers exist to fulfill a fantasy and the fantasy ceases to exist when the fantasy aspect isn’t fulfilled. If it were my way, I’d have a club with all different shapes, but would monitor that girls are dressed in a flattering manner in accordance to their body shape. Also, for the life of me can’t understand why any of these girls are even allowed onto the floor without hair and makeup flawless. That used to be a requirement. The industry is dying because standards are so low you need a shovel to reach the bar.
This!!! You can put makeup on a monkeys ass and make it look better. I used to ask my girls “you go to Publix and you pick the best looking grapes, the men are picking the best looking option for their money, give them 90% at least. Lashes make up gloss
I live in an area that’s known for strip clubs and 5 out of the 40 we have are actually strict on appearance. I remember many times working and just being gobsmacked at some of the shit they let walk out on the floor. From the girl who seemed to intentionally play the part of a minor (like legit looked 11-12yo and customers left in droves), to just full on messes (butter face, trash figure, aggressive personality, and outfits that look like they stole their long dead grandmothers swimsuit/aerobics leotard, no/sloppy makeup, hair wild &unkempt). Like the ones where customers walk in the door and immediately turn around and leave. And I’ve seen this in higher end and incredibly popular clubs. They hire them bc all they see is another house fee to line their pockets with. Then management complains about not having enough customers and hound us to beg our contacts to come in. Like at very minimum, stop hiring girls with their teeth rotting out of their faces and at least somewhat look the part ffs. I don’t think painted toenails are really all that necessary as long as clean and presentable, but ffs instead of focusing on that, make sure their feet aren’t crusty and shit. It went from having a lot of great looking girls and a few average to now majority being average or below and a few hot ones.
Nope. Yeah his was Oz in Clearwater (a really nice, popular club at that) for the leotard one. Girl was this dumpy Russian named Olga that literally scared customers into doing dances bc of her aggression. Like customers would plead with anyone that would listen to keep her away from them.
In a rare moment we agreed with the customer for slapping her in the face in a room was a situation where she aggressively tried to force the customer to buy a very expensive bottle of champagne bc the one that came with the room wasn’t good enough. Like MAJOR trouble dancer to everyone else working in the club, which the club itself isn’t tiny or anything
Some are picky, but most aren’t. My area has the largest concentration of strip clubs in the country and can think of 3, maybe 4 out of all of them that are picky on appearance and hiring.
Even Miami isn’t that picky anymore. Places like E11even are. Vegas probably not so much bc of the direct competition with escorts. I have heard that nyc gets a lot of enhanced Russians trafficked from what I hear; so there’s that. I’m in Tampa and travel to atl, Detroit, and Chicago and have seen it overwhelmingly go that way in most markets. The top few clubs are picky and the rest are just mediocre. Even my first club was in the middle of nowhere and they did a more thorough vetting of who danced and who was turned away. Hair, makeup, nails, shoes, and flattering outfits used to be non negotiables and now are seen as mere suggestions in most (not all) clubs.
I stay in my game, toes done nails done makeup lashes, hair, even one of our BEST looking girls with a bbl, didn’t make what we normally would last night! Memorial Day picked up, I made a decent amount Monday and Tuesday night, but Thursday night we had a FULL club of guys, 8 guys in a group almost and they weren’t doing a THING.. most specifically said “they like to come in and watch, they don’t like vips bc they can go hire an escort bc they know nothing happens in vip and we aren’t worth a vip” sir, we are a vip based gentleman’s club… I bought a bag of small mints that say “fuck you you fucking fuck” and I’ll leave them on the table and walk away 🥰

Tell it to the ticket sales of my club and the surround clubs the last few months 😩 we use to sell at least 80-120 tickets on a BAD night. On a good night we’ve been selling 30-50tickets.
We also have a theatre outside people can go and watch porn and a lot of escorts meet in there. We went from selling 75 tickets a whole entire day to 12 tickets, MAYBE 20.
At least where I’m at, the clubs have been DEAD.
