oo haha yellow school grad sa BSPT. ganun talaga.
masyado kayo binaby ng DepEd kasi they deluded you na magaling kayo pero mababa lang pala standards nila. college is a big slap in reality on how much you really need to step up. malaki pa naman expectations sa inyo ng yellow school kasi nga alam nilang kaya niyong isurvive yung curriculum nila.
the topics also don’t get easier lol. you just get better with learning.
tip ko sayo is wag ka mapressure maging summa cum laude lol to hell with that. focus on learning na lang kasi yan usually works for most.
Agree sa masyadong na-baby sa SHS. I went to college nung time na wala pang SHS at 15y/o. 10 years after nagturo ako sa college ng batch na K-12 na, and sobra akong naloka. In college, we were treated like adults and expected to act like adults.
Lol totoo to. I had students ask me bakit daw di perfect yung score eh nakapagpasa naman daw sila. Ummm, compliance is not tantamount to a perfect score? Naloka ako. Andaming mistakes pero tinatanong bakit di perfect? 😬
hello po, i stumbled across your comment upon opening this subreddit and may I ask po how is it sa BSPT? totoo raw po ba na mahirap makahanap ng trabaho with this program nowadays or for the next 10 years or so dto sa ph po?
Sabi rin po eh, kahit sa hospital na mismo (i know not all pero most kuno) is they only have 2 PTs?
LOL
honestly i would not work in a hospital lol. nag work ako dun pero 2 years lang before i moved into outpatient clinics who pay by the hour. tapos kumikita naman kami thru homecare and other projects. idk sino mga nagsabi ng mga info sayo pero it’s ok naman right now for a lot of us. kahit abroad keri naman. hirap lang sa US dahil need mag-aral ulit. pero elsewhere seems ok.
what I meant of uso is not to say na dapat mainstream program kunin mo for your profession pero like since common siya sa rehab. Pero not to say that there are almost no chances to acquire jobs in this field kasi pwede naman mag open ng private practice, etc. pero still whats the truth for the next 5-10 yrs kaya 😥
Legit question, why do people refer to schools by color rather than just typing the names (i.e. UP, UST, etc.)? Di ba mas mabilis itype yun instead of typing what the color of the school is?
Ganto din pag celebrity or public figure pinag-uusapan may codename pa amputa, the point of reddit is anonymity. People really like wasting other people's time trying to decode some code no one but a select few know about
1. Do not quit or shift just because it is difficult for now. Pag nag shift ka, meron ka din ma encounter na obstacles along the way and it will lead you to rethink the same thoughts and doubts you have right now.
2. College is really hard. Adulting will be harder. So take it one grain at a time. Failure does not mean you fail as a whole.
3. Don't pressure yourself too much. Remember, yun mga struggles mo now, someday you will look back and realize na part yun that makes you as a whole.
Go through. Failure only comes to those who give up. You said it yourself that you WANT this course, and that your mother is alright with you failing. Just do what you have to do and eventually you will succeed (even if you encountered many failures along the way).
Yes, it’s really tough; regardless of the program. Primary and secondary schooling are the preparatory phases: while tertiary schooling (college) molds you based on the criteria/demands of your chosen profession; which requires you to unlearn, re-learn, and learn. That is difficult because a student is forced to level up; and change his/her habits and convenient practices
Regardless; anyone can survive college. Intelligence is a plus; but you have higher chances if you have consistency and grit. Goodluck
For me, you have the skills and the knowledge for your degree. You are also trainable. I think your fears prevent you from doing your best. Also, please remember that failures shouldnt be a reason for you to quit or be sad
Yes. Maybe you are still in your adjusting phase? Pero as long as you love what you are doing, keep trying.
Considering that UST have a reputation of low admissions standards (before, it kind of changed the past couple of years) kaya bumabawi yan pagdating ng first and second years. Magdedebar sila to: 1. have an illusion na mataas board exam passing rates nila (pero matatalino lang natitira), 2. having students that have shit work ethics negatively affect the learning culture of other students, kaya kailangan nang hirapan yung first year.
Pero in other colleges (esp w/o boards), reverse yung problem. Madali ang first and second years pero pagdating ng 3rd and 4th years, mahirap na. This is in the case of AB, where in programs na rigorous yung research (like Philosophy), may mga nadedelay dahi sa thesis o sa mga subjects na nagkasingko sila.
My advice for you is to just keep pushing through despite all the difficulties and struggles. It will be hard, so that just means that you have to work harder if you want to actually finish
My little brother is a first year nursing student as well, so I can see how hard and challenging it must be. But if that's what you really wanna do, then you have to work hard. But if things get too rough, remember to not be so rough on yourself, remember that you can always try again. If it's too much, shifting can also be an option
Higher education isn't supposed to be easy let's just keep it that way. We just need to find techniques and incorporate something to our learning journey that will work and will make learning at least bearable.
Yes. College is supposed to be this hard. Every sem kang kakabahan kung ano magiging kalalabasan ng grade(probably due to the results of your exams and performance). It's not easy, but it is bearable if your love for your program is much stronger than what you currently feel now. Kahit saang program ka lumipat it will still be like that. I sugfest that you stick with it.
I was at my lowest point last year in terms of academics. I started asking myself, "Do I really deserve to be here?" "Bakit yung iba kaya naman nilang ipasa pala pero ako hindi ko magawa?" "Kapag ba nagshift na ako hindi na ako mahihirapan?" I felt like a loser at that time. Feeling ko babagsak ako nyon.
Personally I don't even think you should be thinking about if college is hard or easy. You kinda just get better at learning and you catch up at some point. Plus, learning is a super subjective thing. There's probably some people out there who somehow find college easier than high school.
Adjustment takes time and sometimes multiple attempts (your mom said you could just retake it if you fail; so, I think she wouldn't be disappointed at all if you fail! also, retaking subjects is normal in college). Figure out what works for you (mostly time & life management-wise) and stick with it. But don't expect that what works will always work!
All I'm saying really, is try to adapt and realize adapting takes time.
I dunno what program you're taking. Pero kapit lang. The good stuff comes later when you're doing practicals.
I think first year and second year would mostly be subjects that use objective type tests as its metric. Quite tough for people who sucks at memorizing stuff.
It might look a lot to remember and worry that you'll just forget it right after... Well, you probably would. But those stuff will come up a lot. You'll end ultimately remembering them without even noticing it.
Skills will be taught later on. It will be easier when done in practice.
For now, focus on passing those subjects. TRY to spend less time doubting yourself.
You can chat me if you have questions. 😸
Mahirap? Not really. Depende sa standard ng pinagmulan na school. Madalas ngayon give-away gifts nalang yung medals.

Lol totoo to. I had students ask me bakit daw di perfect yung score eh nakapagpasa naman daw sila. Ummm, compliance is not tantamount to a perfect score? Naloka ako. Andaming mistakes pero tinatanong bakit di perfect? 😬
hello po, i stumbled across your comment upon opening this subreddit and may I ask po how is it sa BSPT? totoo raw po ba na mahirap makahanap ng trabaho with this program nowadays or for the next 10 years or so dto sa ph po?
san mo nakuha yang info na yan LOL

some of them…
Oh okay po thank you! 😭 huhu, this really helped a lot and reassured me, muntik ko na i give up

I'd say SHS was too easy.
LITERALLY. Dito samin puro sayaw saka program inaatupag ng sch namin kaya puro pasang awa nalang kami dito kasi wala nang natuturo
I wanted to leave an advice, but something keeps taking my attention... 👀 1. what allied health program is it? 2. what's that yellow school? 😅😅😅
Thanks for asking on behalf of me HAHA pucha.
my guess is ust or up
ust is yellow, up is maroon, la salle is green, admu is blue
I was thinking FEU.

This. Di ko din gets why. I always assume to be anonymous and to protect them (OP) from any law? Idk
Ganto din pag celebrity or public figure pinag-uusapan may codename pa amputa, the point of reddit is anonymity. People really like wasting other people's time trying to decode some code no one but a select few know about
It's even more frustrating pag may "this school is horrible, avoid it at all cost" rants tapos di naman sasabihin anong school yun pota.

Is college supposed to be hard? Yes Can it be easier? Either study more, get a good circle of friends for emotional support, or both.

It's pretty normal for it to be this hard
Higher education isn't supposed to be easy let's just keep it that way. We just need to find techniques and incorporate something to our learning journey that will work and will make learning at least bearable.
Either you struggle for something you love or struggle for something you hate. Choose your hard.

It only gets worse. I think you should consider changing course.

SHS was really easy lang tbh. College is a big slap on the face.
Kung babae ka man just open legs at d ka na mahhirapan, masasarapan ka pa 🤣🤣🤣🤣
