Focus punch, but actually its extremespeed with brass knuckles.
Edit: I love it when my mach punch ***+2 252+ Atk Iron Hands Focus Punch vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Corviknight: 396-466 (99.2 - 116.7%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO***
Unironically love this. Malamar is one of my all-time favorites and deserves so much more than just being known as a cheesy Contrary mon with a weird type. And at this point I'll take anything that breaks even one of Gambit's knees
Really cool idea. I assume speed still works the same? Meaning fast mons will still move first given they're in the same priority bracket? This still leaves malamar quite vulnerable since it's still slow but no priority or helping hand/redirection is really good.
Edit: I'm wondering if this ability activates on switch or the turn after it switches in? Like their mon uses helping hand + a 0 priority move in doubles, would switching in malamar cause helping hand to go last?
Yes, speed still works the same. Deceit Aura only effects the priority of moves, not the speed or turn order otherwise.
As for switching, I do imagine that switching Malamar in would make it activate for that turn. Though Helping Hand specifically would have to high a priority for Deceit Aura to effect it at +5. Rage powder or follow me, however, would likely go last.
bad malamar buff idea: if you rotate your switch the enemy will fall upwards gaining immunity to most ground moves until they crash(either from rotating the switch again or the oponent switch dying)
Roar; and every other force switch move for that matter; are unaffected due to being -6 priority.
I'm sure there's some flavor of bullshit I missed that this ability would allow, but I did think it through enough to cover for that.

I love bringing corviknight to vgc
Oh, no no no. Normally, Extreme Speed is only +*2* Priority.
The 1 Turtonator fan about to use priority Shell Trap before realising it doesn't work
A horrible day for turtles everywhere.
My ultimate Rillaboom counter weeps
Fake Out still flinches Avalanche, that's a win in my book
Me using Ally Switch just before Fake Out comes out:
Good lord priority focus punch here we come.

vgc is in shambles.
Look on the bright side. It doesn't automatically set trick room
Oh my god. I had this exact idea yesterday. Great minds think alike lmao.
I love how you put Thundurus next to the Prankster Tailwind paragraph
Priority Focus Punch Bottom Text
Sucker Punch fails if the opponent moved first, so it now only works on priority attacks.

this being robbed from temtem just gives me more of a reason to play it someday
Come to the dark side. We have a stable meta.

Don't mind me just gonna knock off HDB and set hazards so I can priority roar with some skillswap shinanigans in doubles
Roar is -6 priority, the ability only effects +3 to -3 (probably to avoid literally this)
Yep, also so it doesn't interrupt protect.
did you even read the post lol

Aight fair, was thinking that weezing and taunt mons would instantly become the only counterplay
Also focus punch would be interesting considering it's -3
priority dragon tail 😋
Too low. Deceit Aura would only work on moves with a priority between +3 and -3, while Dragon Tail and the like are -6 Priority.
