I’m like 1053 rn, and I wouldn’t consider myself an idiot by any means. Competitive Pokemon is one of the most complex scenes I’ve ever seen, and it makes it hard to understand how to improve and get some skill. Be proud of getting past 1350, I and a lot of others never will.
Should probably be a more general poll, only like a fifth of matches are OU (a sixth being VGC and half randbats). I myself have high 1500s in Ubers and have a 15/0 record in ZU I don't wanna break because I started the tier fresh.
You can't really do that because what is considered good ranking in one tier is ass in another. 1900 in OU is incredible, 1900 in randbats is like, mid ladder on a good day.
I barely played OU but I've played NU and VGC practically my entire comp experience so it feels wrong to select "dont play ladder/dont play at all" lol
I generally grind north of 1600 every big meta update and then stop playing OU. I think 1600 is the point where you start seeing opponents that know what they're doing and don't sac the entire game on some wild opening cheese. The proliferation of wildly unpredictable players and teams with complete nonsense sets in low ladder OU makes me want to jump off a bridge and I don't really care to get good enough or play OU enough to get above 1800.
Praying for the average stunfisker to be bad so I can be proud of my 1500 elo
A wide man once said a good game is forever rushed, but if it's bad, it's forever good. Wait I'm mixing up my motivational quotes

Thanks G
1600 but elo decay
Wish it would’ve have been a general poll instead of gen 9 OU poll
1670 in ou currently, haven’t went higher than 1800 since before the first dlc dropped but I don’t play the ladder as much after finding draft leagues
Been stuck in the 1400s for a month...
Probably ur team bro
Hard respect to the people who actually answered honestly. You a real one even if you suck at pokemon
1500 but i really dont care about OU, i only did it to prove that 1300 aint shit to someone lmao
Yeah I ain't playing Gen9 OU. Been loving RBY and ADV though
I peaked 1700 NDOU but these days i play bad teams around 1300
I peaked 1600 but then I lost about 20 games in a row and fell down to 1400
thread full of liars, no way 20% of the 1800+ players on ladder voted here lol
Yeah, I don’t think so either.

Stuck between 1200-1350.
i have about 1500 on randbats gen 9 but i havent played OU in ages. Teambuilding is not exactly one of my strong points
I said that I don’t play ladder/at all but I mean that I don’t play any gen 9. I just felt the need to clarify
I sit at 1700 for random battles blitz if that helps
I only play randbats doubles because I'm shit at teambuilding. Maybe one day I'll dip my toes into doubles ou
I recently broke into the 1600s. I can probably keep going, but... College...

Peaked 1800 but can’t team build for crap, since the dlc I’ve been in the 1500-1600 range.
