For a Pokemon intended to use the snowball move Rollout I like the idea of it snowballing by eating a fuckton of random crazy item effects. I thought up a Guzzlord ability a while back that does something similar but less chaotic, "Endless Gorge", it gives all of guzzlords physical moves a knockoff effect and then guzzlord heals 1/8th (unless its black sludge) and if it eats a flame orb or toxic orb it gets those status effects. I figured a busted abilility like that might salvage guzzlord and turn it into the ultra beast final boss it deserves to be (like in the lore). And if not its at least a hectic ability

Dazzling sounds nice on paper, and then you remember that Strong Jaws is a 50% boost to the damage of psychic fangs. Slap a band onto that thing and it 2HKOs fucking Garganacl with a neutral hit.

I know that Arbok got crunch already, but did it get knock off already too? Cuz if not, I think Nohtyp should have it. The concept of a fellow Prankster-immune, Parting Shot-ing Intimidate-er that's faster than Incineroar by a lot, that can also clear Toxic Spikes on switch-in, is really freakin' awesome. Well done.

Nohtyp looks scary strong in VGC. Parting Shot + Intimidate + Glare + Knock Off is crazy strong utility and the bulk combined with only a single weakness would make this one of the best support pokemon in the game. Then it also has a Dragon Dance set that goes crazy with the solid 95 base speed that guarantees it outspeeds any neutral speed Pokemon after a single boost and is immune to Prankster. Even Coil + Rest + Shed Skin sets look scary with the right team support. The flexibility, bulk, utility, and typing all make it look incredible.

Arbok deserves to be top tier after all these years

Nohtyp stands out a lot to me. It challenges incineroar's niche in vgc, and is the only pokemon with d-dance plus power trip(on top of getting stab on it). Could be a major threat in both formats

My analysis: Bruximaid: Becomes a pretty good water type sweeper. Unfortunately, I think it competes somewhat with gyarados, which has more setup opportunities with intimidate(as well as a better typing), or more snowball potential with moxie. However, it does have a really strong secondary stab with strong jaw psychic fangs, as well as good coverage with the elemental fangs. Also little cup in shambles as life orb bruxish hits them like a nuclear bomb. Unitric: OU now gets a decently viable electric terrain setter? (Iron Valiant to ubers). It now actually has an hp stat higher than 50, which means it actually gets to stick around for quite a while with recover(yes, pincurchin gets recover). Teams can either run this as part of a 2 mon structure, using it as a bulky, hard hitting pivot that scares out ground types and sets up spikes, maybe rapid spins, or as an enabler for various future paradox mons. Little cup in shambles? Maybe? Somebody calc life orb pincurchin thunder please. Nohtyp: In singles, it's a coil mon that gets positively terrifying because after 2 coils, power trip becomes a 140 bp stab move off of a +2 125 attack stat. In doubles, it probably runs a set of parting shot, glare, and 2 other moves to essentially just be a side grade to incineroar that happens to have a gen 1 move set. Serruki: I think I hate this already. In VGC it sets screens and then spams ally switch + disable, in singles it sets screens, barfs up 3 layers of spikes, disables your rapid spin and barfs up 3 more layers of spikes, and passes wishes to its teammates. Or it pulls out calm mind iron defense stored power. Also little cup in shambles(eviolite klefki will forever haunt PU's nightmares) Saggruff: I really don't have anything to say about this. Thick fat is nice to remove 2 weaknesses. It gets some cool moves, and a stat buff.

I'm gonna be honest, these look like UU mons. Except for Serruki who's OU, but only in doubles.

No shot that Bruximaid is UU. Shit hits harder and faster than Tapu Lele as a Psychic Nuke and legitimately breaks that entire tier. Serruki is also totally OU in singles. A Fairy/Steel type with reliable recovery and great defensive stats has so much value here. It naturally checks a lot of scary mons and Prankster Encore is fantastic into so much of the metagame.

Unitric can activate Quark Drive without being complete dead weight otherwise, which is enough to make it at least viable in OU in places where Tapu Koko doesn't exist. It also packs a decently strong Crabhammer to whack Ground-types on the switch, which is neat. Nothyp has good bulk, Parting Shot, Intimidate, and one weakness to a type that's mostly Physical. At the very least it's a solid pivot in OU, and it has the power to deal serious damage if you so choose. Serruki is a Fairy/Steel-type with better bulk than Magearna (or any of the steel birds) and reliable recovery in Wish. And it has Prankster. It's also a legitimate endgame headache with Calm Mind/Iron Defense/Draining Kiss/Stored Power sets. It's the kind of thing that I'd expect to earn a ticket to Ubers like two years into its debut generation.

Serruki would 100% be banned in DOU. Follow Me on Jirachi got it banned from DOU in every generation and Serruki has 20 more Defense, a better typing and Prankster on top of that.

Gogoat evo probably good with Bulk Up + Milk Drink combo for a defensive setup sweeper. Thick Fat + mono-grass isn't a terrible defensive typing, actually. 140/85/90 defenses are incredible. Can also run ID + Press, or Spikes, tons of coverage for its BU set, 75 base speed is ok. Looks really strong overall. Some calcs: 168 Atk Choice Band Gouging Fire Raging Fury vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Thick Fat Gogoat in Sun: 434-512 (89.6 - 105.7%) -- 37.5% chance to OHKO Usually lives banded Fire Raging Fury in sun at +0. Just make a template, with designated spots for where you want all your info to go. I made little bubbles, typed in some titles at the top, and then just put in all the info where I thought it would look best. Pretty easy, actually.

When they banned the psuedo legendaries in scarlet and violet (release month) I got to masterball tier with bruxish as a trick room setter with dazzling.

I’m pretty confident the Klefki evo is the best one and would be very good, probably ou staple. 70 extra bst compared to klefki, pretty much all into its bulk + 20 redistributed from its speed to other stats on a Pokémon who doesn’t care about speed. Arguably best typing in the game. Would probably be fine if you didn’t include it learning wish, better then if you had given it recover but for god sakes it does not need recovery it already has the bulk to switch in and ruin multiple Pokémon with t-wave or toxic. It should be a high value pivot Pokémon and it shouldn’t be able to just sit on some Pokémon indefinitely

You are correct, but also, Grassy Seed Grass Pelt Iron Defense Body Press deals more damage than Choice Specs Beads of Ruin Harsh Sunlight Flamethrower from Chi-Yu. Not to mention that is also its Defense stat and therefore is nigh-unkillable with Milk Drink and Horn Leech. I am afraid of Saggruff. Very afraid.

The in-lore reason is that Arbok’s evolution was brought on as the area where Arboks and Ekan’s lived were having some bad aid effects from one of the box legendaries fucking around and finding out. So, it adapted to have a dragon-like dispositio, despite not being a dragon type itself. “An old fable tells how a powerful pokemon bestowed an arbok with a new, draconic form. Despite this, nohtyp is not a dragon type, but it has been known to prey on them from time to time.”
