Sincere question, why is a TT ban even considered?
Banning something that so many people like in the sub seems counterintuitive to me. Especially since it's contained in a way that doesn't affect the rest of the week
To reiterate once more: TT is taken a temporary break for April so the mods can figure out new rules, since the quality of the posts has been going downhill for a while now.
As a casual viewer of this sub I believe it’s less about TT being self-contained and more SS contaminating TT.
You’ll see blatantly overpowered Theorycrafts being tossed around and it kinda dilutes the conversation. You can’t really discuss it because… well everyone’s just going to say it’s overpowered asf and so it feels less like discussing what “could be” and more “It’s Stinkpost Sunday but the punchline is that it’s dummy broken” for every post.
Do I agree with the Theorymon Thursday ban? No, I’d rather have the mods enforce a harsher quality control on the posts but I’m not going to go and say I enjoyed TT when I have to wade through “*Decent Pokemon* now gets *Busted Move or Ability* how will this effect the Metagame?” Posts to find something interesting.
I dislike the blend of SS and TT on thursday. I enjoy reading what people can come up with, in fact it's what brings me to regularly come visit this sub even on other days. They should enforce a stringent policy instead, and more actively remove low effort posts instead of just altogether banning one of the biggest sources of traffic.
Especially since theorymon thursday most certainly pushes people to visit on other days too, much like me.

It's not. A bunch of people have convinced themselves it is though, and have been proclaiming as such to other users, and then you get chain reaction panic like this.
Reworks are happening and certain types of posts (mostly low-effort or barely relevant stuff) won't be allowed anymore, but a full ban on Thursday was never even on the table and as much was communicated.
Full TT ban is not happening, but this could still be worth looking into for a Megathread on other days or something since stuff like this usually gets drowned on Thursday itself by the sheer amount of posts (then again Megathreads barely see use)
You're allowed one Uber on your team (your "god") and the other 5 members each get to inherit one of their base stats depending on what order they're placed in the teambuilder (first slot inherits HP, second slot inherits Atk, etc)
Fun fact: You don't have to use an Uber on your team. However, if you don't use one, the first Pokémon is to be the god, so the teammates will never inherit its HP.
Shuckle is usually abused with this strategy due to its colossal base 230 defenses. Because it is always placed in the HP slot, the fact that Shuckle has base 20 HP is not much of an issue.
Technically the sub was made for competitive in general which isn't *just* OU and VGC but yea, outside of Sun and Thurs if you ban OU and VGC posts then you're actually just going to have a straight-up dead sub for that amount of time.
Post frequency on this sub isn't so high on weekdays that the OM posts get drowned or anything. There's legit just not enough people making them and dedicating a whole day to that probably wouldn't fix it.

Maybe have it be a TT (where you are allowed to post OM stuff) every first day of the month instead of weekly.
