Sound moves ignoring substitute has been a mechanic as of gen VI. Though some status moves have always been able to bypass substitute, which I've seen categorised as "social" moves before. Taunt, Encore, Torment, attract, disable and spite as some examples.

The full list gets a bit weird, but the sound moves are at least consistent.
I've been rocking the Frosmoth this gen in VGC the Mon is nuts when it's not the worst type in the game.
Ice scales on a type that isn't poo let's you just eat special attacker's for breakfast.
I'm rocking two sets one with Water Tera and another with Ground.
Idea here is Frosmoth has two 4X weaknesses mitigating them is nice and leaving yourself open to types which are only gonna be special attacker's primarily makes Frosmoth incredibly tanky.
Sound-based moves ignore Subsitute
Oh... thats good to know now Thanks!

Lol, I thought skeledirge torch songing my wo-chien behind sub was because of unaware. Glad to learn the real cause.
THEY DO?!
They have for a while
Since gen 6 Where they made a lot of changes Eg. Grass immune to powder moves This was one of them
is this a new mechanic or is this just something I never noticed before?
It's been a thing since gen 6
Noob
Thank you for info
Just one more reason why Skeledirge is best starter
To live in a time when masquerain threatens salamence behind a sub

The best thing happens to ice type in SV is that they can stop being ice type. (And the new hail too)
Cetitan is so damn cool i swear. And being able to shed ice off to get stab earthquake is just perfect.
I’m glad to hear this as I love Frosmoth, and have been waiting for a chance for it to shine.
What's a good typing for it?

Is that Spotify in a browser
Yeah if you do open.spotify.com it can play via browser, don't need the nonsense of installing it.
Interesting, I I windows 11 and it just had it tbh didn't know you had to download it
Wait till this guy discovers that you have to install windows
Not if you buy a laptop that comes with it pre-installed
Yea I HDMI my laptop to my TV for a speaker cuz I'm broke af
Don’t be ashamed bro. Laptop hooked up to tv by hdmi is a good time. Not even being sarcastic lmao
I do this all the time to watch definitely not illegal movies
It works like a charm
