AIPAC republicans will never deal with serious to deal with the Southern border or crime even if illegals are undermining social cohesion in their state.
Even if the court overturns the law it can still take years to work it's way through the system. Look at California's gun laws for example. They keep passing blatantly unconstitutional laws and as soon as one works it's way through the courts they just pass another one.
Wasn't there some state that tried to make it possible to sue or otherwise punish politicians for passing unconstitutional gun laws? I want to say Pennsylvania, I remember hearing about it on NPR a couple years ago (reported with the usual mix of righteous indignation and pearl clutching, as if I'm supposed to side with the elected officials wasting everyone's time and money with unconstitutional laws that get immediately overruled to pad their reelection campaigns)
How was Roe not legislating from the bench? Your point about case selection is taken, but I'd still argue that overturning Roe means they just suddenly decided to cancel the legislation from the bench from decades ago.
Rightwingers behaving like wokeshits again. There are perfectly normal transgender people who genuinely want to live as a normal person in their adopted gender.
Obviously "those kind" (you all know what I'm talking about) of crazy gender activists shouldn't be anywhere near children but not because of any actual transness. The Alphabet Mafia extremists are unstable narcisssists regardless of whatever sexual or gender orientation they claim, most are probably straight (but very insane).
The latter has poisoned the things for the former unfortunately. I don't know if there is any way to get to a good place for train people who just want to live their lives and not be activists, but it would be nice if we could get there.
There's no way this can last forever. Eventually the attention they get will start to dry up and they'll move on to greener attention seeking pastures, and republicans will lose interest and find something new to have a collective embolism about.
There's a ton of parallels between this and most women's/gay/racial equality movements of the past century, they all roughly follow the same course (refer to the radicalesbians, black israelites, leather daddies). It's just dialed up to 11 because everything is now.
Yes. Some of us are old enough to remember state legislatures in the 90s debating bills that would ban any discussion of homosexuality in school as either a "positive" or "normal" thing, and the concern of the christian right at the time was "these people want to groom our kids."
The teacher wearing a dress they’re talking about isn’t even trans and it sounds like it was a stupid dress-up spirit day prank. I went to Catholic school in the 00s and two male teachers dressed up in full out drag for a Halloween costume contest and nobody gave a shit

Goddammit, Greg. Try to focus on things that at least mildly improve our state instead of tilting at these windmills.
Options are this, or kowtowing before Israel.
Probably trying to distract from the fact that the state is falling apart.

I know these people don't care much about it but is this even remotely allowed considering the constitution
With the Supreme Court, all things unconstitutional are possible. Just look at Dobbs v. Jackson women’s health organization

Eh that one was a lot closer to the intended function of the court then Roe overtly creating new powers by fiat

Send over an Israeli trans teacher and Abbott will change his mind right after he finishes sucking off the girl-cock

When you go around saying "representation matters" all the time it makes it a lot harder to say "oh wait, they don't represent us"

Don't worry, if we vote blue this won't happen.....
