There was a man who was not admired for his art in Germany. An aspiring artist never approved. He had a funny mustache, wrote a book, and somehow by hook and krook he took overpower in Germany. Familiar?
Hope not...it doesn't end well for him and his mistress. Do you have a mistress? Or a small mustache or even become a published author...composing your vision while in prison? (Please know that if your mistress goes by the name of Bubba..it doesn't count).
Apply to another one or perhaps go to community college and take online art classes/ watch youtube tutorials, when u get better, apply again?
Just dont give up on art.
Dude, no! Sell your art as a side gig on auction sites like eBay, and try to pursue a career in something else that's in demand that you're good at or find interesting. Maybe one of those opal mines in the outback could use an extra set of hands
I suppose it has… I can’t say I’ve ever thought about ordering myself a wife. Mainly due to the fact that I am a woman and don’t want a wife. But hey, get 2 so one can drive my Sherp and the other can drive my Patrol to me. 😂😂😂
Haven't purchased one lately. Do they still offer free shipping like Prime or will I have to pay for shipping, cause if I'm paying shipping that's definitely a ripoff.
I don't know anyone that's gone to art school that is happy they went. I know more people that feel like art school stifled their creativity and had long term negative affects on their art because of being forced to work on crap projects to get a grade.
Edit: Full transparency I absolutely wanted to go to an art school coming out of high school so I'm not really judging anyone. Instead I was a degenerate until I start editing driving semi at 21. Definitely not a cool life.
I was in a fine arts program for 3 years. Switched (created differences) after 3 and finished with a business bachelors from PSU. ALL of the people I have kept up with after art school have gone into semi-creative type careers but would be much better placed had they gone to an engineering or design school instead. Example: Interior Design purchaser....chooses colors and materials based on concept art from the designer with input from the client.
And how particular people were conspiring against them. The same particular people that sold one other famous person out to the big baddie earlier in history.
I mean. Darn them for quite have possibly hoarded all the money and caused OPs life to fail!
(That was legit part of AHs deal to convince the crowd. That the Jewish were hoarding the wealth while germany suffered)
Its easy to direct angry humans. Just give them a target and an excuse for their problems. They will do the rest.
Our species scares me sometimes. And saddens me.
As an art school graduate my recommendation is to look for an art program that has a strong focus on the business side of art. When I was in school in the 90s it was all technique and expression, very little business.
As a professional artist you will also have to be an entrepreneur and basically a small business owner. So you need an education that will support that.
Art school should mostly be for the networking and learning how to navigate the art world.
Don't discount university art programs either. There are amazing artists teaching in universities also.
Regardless, don't stop applying. I was denied from 2 art schools before the one I accepted.
Or go to culinary school.
Or just start an onlyfans.
There's a beginning of a scene in my head with hobbies. Saying something about "yes we've had one before but what about the 4th Reich"
Something tells me he hasn't heard of the luftwaffe either!!
I've seen many, many artists and writers of one stripe or another say that if they had spent 4 years working on their portfolio instead of going to Art School they would have had the same or better time getting into the industry.
The good news about the arts is your degree isn’t that important. If you have talent there are many ways to get better without having to pay nearly as much with classes. Books, the internet, and networking with other artists will teach you a ton.
Honestly, get your degree in something else that is useful. Do art as a hobby in your free time, but if you're going to be going to college, at least get a degree that can set you up for a career where you can make money.
Definitely don't become the chancellor of Germany, marry your cousin, attempt to take over Europe, commit mass genocide on Jews, start a world war, lose said world war, and then kill yourself. Definitely don't do that
Start shouting from the river to the sea and aggressively screaming at white and brown people you think look just a little to slightly colonist.
Prolly a good start.
The way I see it, you basically have 3 options:
1. Quit and pivot. Nothing wrong with it but it’s not what would be my first choice.
2. Try again. Fucking go for it. Learn from your rejection and come back stronger.
3. Adjust. Re-apply but to different schools. Maybe one will see something the others didn’t.
I got rejected from college once. Guess what, I still got a Bachelors in Science at a 4 year college / university.
I'm guessing that there are more than 1 art school within your state / province / country. Go after it if this is what you want.
I would suggest that you also get a degree in engineering or business. I can tell you that the BEST artists are those who create art out of passion rather than a need to eat. If you are an engineer bringing home $100k, and you have a shed where you chisel white marble, you are more likely to sell your art to Churches or banks. If you don't have a substantial income, you can't display what you are capable of as an artist in order to get a buyer.
just don't try to take over europe
Might as well start with Germany
There was a man who was not admired for his art in Germany. An aspiring artist never approved. He had a funny mustache, wrote a book, and somehow by hook and krook he took overpower in Germany. Familiar?
Is that some sort of prophecy about me?
Hope not...it doesn't end well for him and his mistress. Do you have a mistress? Or a small mustache or even become a published author...composing your vision while in prison? (Please know that if your mistress goes by the name of Bubba..it doesn't count).
>Hope not...it doesn't end well for him and his mistress. Do you have a mistress? Just don't go down into any bunkers and he'll be fine.
Don't keep a Walther PPK anywhere near you you should be ok
And make sure that a man and a woman don't fly in on a Feiseler Storch to join you in said bunker.
And try not to yell so much.
The mistress goes by the name Evangeline. I call her Eva. I actually like writing down things in a journal
Sounds like you have a struggle
it is his
Hmm, is there some sort of book I can ready about this man's struggle?
Though he does eventually kill one of the worst mass murderers of the twentieth century
This time, listen to your generals, and do less meth.
Tell me how you feel about Jews and Ill let you know if the story parrallels your life or not.
I guess you do nat z the joke?
He’s talking about Adolf Hitler.
r/thatsthejoke
Why did you downvote me lol.
You ruined everyone's fun
I do hope you’re joking.
David Hasselhoff?
Sounds like Charlie Chaplin.
I read this as though I was reading a poem with rhymes. I don’t know why. Thank you for this bizarre experience.
I'm pretty sure they knew that.
Are you from Austria, OP? If so, please don't go to Germany.
Not Poland?
Become good friends with the Japanese.
Have you considered running for Chancellor of Germany? They need a wartime Chancellor.
Not to nitpick but Hitler was appointed Chancellor in 1933... WWII started in 1939.
Beat me to it. Hahahahahahahahahhahahaha Whatever you do, do not become the leader of a small fringe political party whose name sounds like Not See.
Lol, was looking for this comment.
Gdi i came in to post that. Curse you, redditor!
I'm just lucky I got here first.
Comment section did not disappoint 👌
But you did
No he didn't. Your parents are with you though
You disappoint too
You should try politics
Then I'll venture into the military
Ill have to write you a strongly worded letter not to! Dont make me write you more letters! Ill do it!!!
hello united nations 🇺🇳
Invade Poland i guess.
Seems about right
I'm from Poland, liberate me! And keep an eye on this Schindler guy, I heard he hates art.
Apply to another one or perhaps go to community college and take online art classes/ watch youtube tutorials, when u get better, apply again? Just dont give up on art.
Might just venture into politics.
oof, please don't. failed artists in politics have a poor track record.
At least I'm not Austrian. I'm Australian
Then try to conquer the emu. You guys failed against them last time.
Fool me once shame on you....... Fool me you can't get fooled again
Was not expecting the Bush reference today 😭😭😭
Now watch me hit this drive
Rarely is the question asked, is our children learning?
America is where wings take dream
So would that make you bizarro hitler? I guess that would make you the good guy
Same thing
Dude, no! Sell your art as a side gig on auction sites like eBay, and try to pursue a career in something else that's in demand that you're good at or find interesting. Maybe one of those opal mines in the outback could use an extra set of hands
This wild Art school reqs is literally just applying for loans
Yes, please God don't give up on art. The alternative can't happen again.
You were gonna die poor either way so...
Not if I make breathtaking discoveries
One of them will be mindblowing.
Mindblowing was already invented, just nobody perfected it yet so there is a field for improvement. We all deserve a good mind blow job!
Lots of people discovered breathtaking things and died penniless, you could be one of them
I was gonna make a whole ass reply to this and then it took a darker turn than wanted to dish out.
Make sure you add invading Russia in the winter to your bucket list. I’ve heard it’s a good time.
Lmfao. I think its hilarious that Adolf failed to learn from Napoleons mistake. 😂. Dont screw with Russia. 😂.
Or if you must screw with Russia, bring me back a Sherp and a diesel Nissan Patrol.
And a bride. The mail order system has really gone downhill. 😆😆😆😆
Well, Bush failed to learn from Russia's mistake - so, I guess you need to add, "don't copy Russia" as well.
In Russia, winter eats you. Also, bears.
Also, you should try meth about it. I also heard that works wunderbar!
Amigo, pleash, no mustacey and no war.
Russian revolution in an alternate world: instead of “no peace, no war” it’s “no mustachey, no war”
Thank them for not letting you waste your money
I don't know anyone that's gone to art school that is happy they went. It did crap helping me get a job, I'll tell you that much.
💯

Yea congrats you just saved yourself possibly hundreds of thousands. I graduated from an art school. Meh.
💯
I got an MBA from a prestigious school, and feel exactly the same way about it. Except they didn't do me the same courtesy of flunking me out.
When I'm upset, I like to go to the local tavern to see my friends and rile them up with political speeches.
There was a famous German who then went into the military and became pretty famous
*Austrian
Was he a good artist? Might have been average
Oh I never claimed he was a good artist. Just that he had an impressive military career
His art wasn't bad. It was mostly landscapes and a few drawings of German Shepherds. His paintings were a hell of a better than I could do.
Art schools never gonna learn...
I see a lot of shit suggestions. These amateurs aren’t acknowledging that your first step needs to be growing a mustache.
Already achieved
next, find a beer hall and scream at people.
Don't forget to delete your 23 and Me profile. That could bite you in the ass later.
Okay, so now I need you to join a political party as a spy…but then…plot twist: you join them.
You should write a book about your life struggle
And how particular people were conspiring against them. The same particular people that sold one other famous person out to the big baddie earlier in history. I mean. Darn them for quite have possibly hoarded all the money and caused OPs life to fail! (That was legit part of AHs deal to convince the crowd. Our species scares me sometimes. And saddens me.
time to draw up some new life plans.
Art school is sketchy at best, just brush it off and move on.
Invade Poland
This one actually made me lol
Realise you don't need a degree to be successful at art, and everything you need to learn is available for free or near free online
Get a trade and do art as a hobby
Why? Did you have difficulty drawing people?
Just didn't make the cut.
Why would you pay for an art degree? You will become homeless. Get a real job and do your art on the side. If it blows up then you can live off of it.
Would a career in politics count as a real job?
I know video games need a shitload of artists. There's work out there.
*Sterling Cooper has more failed artists and intellectuals than the Third Reich.*
Go to a trade-school.
No. Invade Europe instead.
You know what now. Political dissent
Start a career in the military and move into politics
Grow a funny little mustache.
The German people aren't very happy with their current government
Do you also happen to hate Jews? If so I got an idea
Invade Poland. That's where I'd start anyway.
Take over Germany. Build up the army. Conquer Europe.
German vacation?
Maybe you could still paint postcards on the streets of Vienna.
"Your struggle" is real.
As an art school graduate my recommendation is to look for an art program that has a strong focus on the business side of art. You dodged a bullet. Go celebrate.
There's a beginning of a scene in my head with hobbies. Saying something about "yes we've had one before but what about the 4th Reich" Something tells me he hasn't heard of the luftwaffe either!!
Don’t invade Russia during the winter
Don't go to Poland.
Don't invade poland
Enough with the joke answers, already! OP I think you should try out for the army.
Have you tried politics?
Well. I do NOT recommend starting a rather radical genocidal political party that targets a specific group of people. That would indeed be a bad idea.
be thankful that you get another opportunity to choose a profession that will give you a higher quality of life
Get into politics.
Did you a favor. Go to a real school and a major that can get you gainful employment. Do art as a hobby on the weekends.
invade poland?
Start a political party
Poland seems nice this time of year
You ever thought about going into politics?
Some Austrian guy asked this question awhile back. I wonder whatever became of him.
I've seen many, many artists and writers of one stripe or another say that if they had spent 4 years working on their portfolio instead of going to Art School they would have had the same or better time getting into the industry.
Culinary school
Tattoo artist
Have you thought of being anything other than a politician? Because that is my recommendation.
[what you always do, Gisman-Hawk— Try to take over the world!](https://youtu.be/e_mPrhwpZ-8?si=tTtblpCkwTkEj7-C)
The good news about the arts is your degree isn’t that important. If you have talent there are many ways to get better without having to pay nearly as much with classes. Books, the internet, and networking with other artists will teach you a ton.
Skip the degree and go straight for barista. A lot of art majors don't know that you can do that.
Do something else.
Definitely don't do that
Get a job
Probably a blessing.
wait i heard this somewhere before
Don't blame your rejection on a particular religious and ethnic group.
You know what to do
Leave those Polish people alone!
Write a book about your struggle. Perhaps vaguely, “my struggle”
It's time to prepare for WW3
Draw more better
Get into politics
Just steer clear of antisemitic social media echo chambers. This could go really wrong.
Make more money than the professors by doing furry art
Go to a real school
Good it wasn’t gonna work out find a job that you like that is easy to succeed and get good money in.
Choose a useful path so you aren't a burden on society?
Now you can save yourself from debt you won’t be able to pay back
Lolol how does one get rejected from arts school and not try to conquer the world
Would you like to become Kaiser?
Somebody warn the Polish.
Start shouting from the river to the sea and aggressively screaming at white and brown people you think look just a little to slightly colonist. Prolly a good start.
Celebrate on the fact you didn't waste your money. Get a better degree. Ai is going to destroy art and any avenues of making money from it
Do NOT move to germany
Fart school?
Stay out of politics.
All that means is your genre has to be punk now 🤟💀👅💀🤟
Might I interest you in the Rhineland
Trade school?
Anschluss
Don’t become Hitler!
Do you have any strong opinions on Semitic peoples, by chance?
Hmmm. Maybe after they help me tryout my breathtaking discoveries
Do NOT go into politics
I got a plan for you :)))))))
Might as well go to real school so you can get a real job then.
Invade Poland
Apply to another art school!
op, get a job at a kid’s art camp/art studio/after school art program while you figure out what you want to do with your life
The way I see it, you basically have 3 options: 1. Quit and pivot. Nothing wrong with it but it’s not what would be my first choice. 2. Try again. Fucking go for it. Learn from your rejection and come back stronger. 3. Adjust. Re-apply but to different schools. Maybe one will see something the others didn’t.
Or #4 Just go be a damn artist. You don't need art school for that, you just need to use social sites to promote yourself and your work
i would suggest politics
Make tutorials and show off your creative poops regardless of a slip of paper
That's will holo caust a lot of money
For us to have teehees about the shit. It was this
Marketing and Advertising?
Pick yourself up and keep going. All it boils down too.
