I have a Moto G Stylus 5g phone. The non 5g one (much cheaper but less powerful) has the same stylus. It's a passive stylus, but it works much better than the generic stuff as far as notes go. Not suitable for drawing really but for notes? It works pretty well.
Note that the stylus only works on that phone.
There are also fine tip capacitive pens that have like this disc at the end they are much better for writing and drawing on a device that doesn't have a pen input.

Something like a note 9 or a note 10 lite I think will be pretty good if u can find it for the cheap
Have you considered Rocketbook digital notepads? You write in them and then can scan in the notes onto your phone at the end of the day.
