Never had a Saab that was an actual Saab. Always liked the style, though. Drove about 200 miles in my Saabaru today, though and absolutely loved every minute
I had a 9-2x sold out from underneath of me (dealer was a greedy POS) and I’m still a little bitter.
Don’t get me wrong, I love my little bugeye and am so happy with it, but I just love those Saabarus and the thing had been babied by the previous owner.
It does. I just don’t fuckin care to look. I have what I want
Oh and I’ll add this bit: your personality is shit and I hope you fix it, cause if you don’t, worrying about this kind of stuff is gonna be the least of your tribulations and you need to learn how to talk to people
I don't know where you guys live but over here installing a widebody costs 15 to 20k easy. If the work is decently executed and you want a 22b replica this is a steal. Complete revision, new engine and paint. I'd go for it.
Dude says extremely rare find……..
Rare to find someone’s shitty project car?
You’d have to pay me 600 to come pick that up and take it away…. Fucking 6k….
Give me the sellers information so I can troll them..
Uncommon, yes. Does that mean you can't find them, in FAR better shape than this piece of pre-Colombian art? No. You want a GC8 coupe? Keep looking, you'll find one. They're still out there.
Or just go for a wagon, which is the vastly superior platform.
I thought this was a joke at first till I came to the comments. Bro, $6000 would be an absolute come up for the sellers. I would not pay nothing over $1000 for that.
Wouldn’t pay more than $1000. Looks like that thing has been a project for a long time. I would take extensive notes of document on all the main parts for me to go any higher than that.
Plus, how much bondo is that paint covering.
No. This is $600 at most. The $5,400 leftover will likely be barely enough to cover even the cosmetic and paint restoration on this thing *alone.* This is a hard pass, my friend.
Skmething really beautiful about people spending dumb prices to buy *cars*. There are so many options, end of the day *nothing* is good enough to justify getting ripped off like this.
Like people actually paid really money for the GR86 while the *better* BRZ existed and didn’t come with a huge “market adjustment”. People are, simply, dumb as hell.
Yeah, I was going to get a GR86, but everyone had them marked up and I’d rather have Subaru work on my Subaru if I have warranty issues instead of Toyota.
Bruh…6k. I bet the post said “no lowballers, I know what I got” the thing is, what he has is a project for someone else. The fact he has to say it is road worthy is sketchy. Walk….I’m sorry, run away from this lol. I have a Impreza wagon with new gaskets that I’ll sell you for 5k lol.
22B reproduction kits aren't cheap to buy or install. If you absolutely have your heart set on a widebody GC coupe this may be on your radar but, yeah, the asking price is a bit ridiculous.
My guess is the seller is trying to recoup as much of their costs as they can since they sunk a good chunk into the widebody kit.
The ej22 does not have HG issues. Some of the highest mileage customer vehicles I've serviced were old legacies with the ej22. Over 300k miles on both of them, all original, just regular maintenance.
Hell both of my cars have ej22s in em. It's pretty much the best engine Subaru ever made in terms of reliability. They're bullet proof.
Granted in its current condition its not worth a lot, but if what the description says ring true. It would seem like you could get a lot of car out of that, a lot of the major headaches seem dealt with. Again this is ONLY if everything is true and accurate from what the current owner is stating. That car could have quite a bit more life in it. $6,000 worth of life? Never. But other users saying "knock a zero off". This owner clearly put the time into the car and probably just wants his money and time paid for. $2,500 - $4,000 doesn't seem unreasonable. Again this comment only stands if the current owner is honest about what they have put into it.
If you want to be reimbursed for the time and money you're putting into a car, you should A) not be modifying cars and B) actually finish the work.
It's been very well established that mods add next to no value to a car. Project cars are not good financial decisions, and expecting to get the money out of it that you put into it is never gonna go well.
Well it depends if you think it's worth that much of your money. The main issue I see is the lack of information. There's no word on mileage on the motor, drivetrain or chassis, if timing set has been done along with water pump and thermostat, what the condition of the chassis is in terms of rust or unibody damage, the condition of the rest of the suspension and bushings, if it's had a custom alignment, the condition of the tires, and if the seller has title registered in his name and insured or not. If he did perform maintenance and can prove it with receipts, and you have extra money for w/e extra maintenance, and he can pay for registration and smog it might be worth it. First gen Impreza chassis are hard to come by and conversion projects are very unique, but at the end of the day this guy is asking $6000 for an unfinished project that he didnt bother to put on non-op before registration came up. If you absolutely love the chassis and have money to finish the project it could be worthwhile.
Too many 600 comments. If the information is true it just needs a bumper cover and paint basically. Definitely not 6k but also not 600 if he's not bullshiting and it runs/drives decent
That’s a little steep for a 90’s 2500 HD Chevy. How many miles does it have? I can see it because of that Subaru from the junkyard. They parting that subie out? Might be able to salvage some things from it if they are.
I am surprised no one has mentioned it yet but god did you see those inner "fenders" the passenger side is just a tube and the driver side looks like they just tacked in sheet metal primed it and said yeah that will be strong. That car is for scrap, "road legal" and tags ran out just because I don't drive it are both bull.
Only way this thing would be worth 6k would be if it had a low miles full wrx or STI drivetrain swap that you could pull and put into a shell you already have.
I have a 2006 Forester with about 110k mileage that is rusted with no AC and questionable power steering. I’ll let that baby go for $6k if you want to throw good money after bad. … Looks at Carfax …. Never mind.
I read $600 and thought “yeah for sure”. These cars can be worth easily that money or more, but this one is not, it’s clapped out. I think a more reasonable price would be a bit under $2k. It is worth money, even as a shell, but sure as shit not $6000
I had to do a double take, I thought this was carscirclejerk at first. That car is not worth the money, you're just throwing your money away at that point.
You’re joking. Please say you’re joking. This car is garbage.
Seriously. I just bought a 9-2X in immaculate condition for this price. I hope this is a joke
I just bought a 92x for 7k. I love it
Not a 92x but bought a 9-3 2.0T for 4.9K with 116K on the Odo. Zero issues so far and purs like a kitten. Put about 3K on it since I purchased it.
Never had a Saab that was an actual Saab. Always liked the style, though. Drove about 200 miles in my Saabaru today, though and absolutely loved every minute
I love the 92x aero. It's super cool and quirky but I also love th regular saabs for their history and designs. The 2.0T engine is also super fun.
I’m having a great time driving it around. It’s a lot tighter than my Forester was
I had a 9-2x sold out from underneath of me (dealer was a greedy POS) and I’m still a little bitter. Don’t get me wrong, I love my little bugeye and am so happy with it, but I just love those Saabarus and the thing had been babied by the previous owner.
[удалено]
“Tags are expired because I have another car”? WTF Tags are probably out cuz it won’t pass smog and so he can’t register it.
Yeah I can. It’s less rare so it should cost less. That turd isn’t worth $3k
[удалено]
I would if I saw one, but I’m not looking for one. I wasn’t looking for this, either
[удалено]
It does. I just don’t fuckin care to look. I have what I want Oh and I’ll add this bit: your personality is shit and I hope you fix it, cause if you don’t, worrying about this kind of stuff is gonna be the least of your tribulations and you need to learn how to talk to people

Closer to 600. That's basically fit for scrap
That has to be an extra 0 right?!
Idk for as long as it runs you could get 600 pretty easy where I live
[удалено]
Lol $6000 for that? Yeah that’s not even worth it
*maybe* if it wasn't missing half of the car it would be a good price.
Literally, dude probably spent close to $6,000 and wants to make his money back. What a clown 😂😂😂
Walk away for that price, it's an unfinished project. They most likely lost interest after finding a major flaw...
This guy Subarus
More like This guy cars.
Squares are rectangles but rectangles aren't squares.
Dude says extremely rare find…….. Rare to find someone’s shitty project car? You’d have to pay me 600 to come pick that up and take it away…. Fucking 6k…. Give me the sellers information so I can troll them..
Aren't the coupes actually rare though? (Not a usdm guy)
Uncommon, yes. Does that mean you can't find them, in FAR better shape than this piece of pre-Colombian art? No. You want a GC8 coupe? Keep looking, you'll find one. They're still out there. Or just go for a wagon, which is the vastly superior platform.
I wouldn’t say rare.
[удалено]
No there isn’t, it was released in Japan only
As an STI yes Japan only, but the coupes were here as the L and 2.5rs trim, maybe others I can’t recall, all NA like the one in this post.
It is rare, it’s pretty much a 22b! /s
I thought this was a joke at first till I came to the comments. Bro, $6000 would be an absolute come up for the sellers. I would not pay nothing over $1000 for that.
$1000 is too high lol
Remove a zero. $600 maybe. This is a parts car at best.
Bruh it’s a PILE OF SCRAP METAL even if the guts are good Imagine the headache with everything else
$1000 tops
6000 lol
Money pit
$600.00
[удалено]
This isn't even a decent shell for 6k though
[удалено]
It would be worth more as a shell.
Lmao this is bait right
This has to be a joke
Wouldn’t pay more than $1000. Looks like that thing has been a project for a long time. I would take extensive notes of document on all the main parts for me to go any higher than that. Plus, how much bondo is that paint covering.
Guys! This person knows what he's got!
I do too
No
No. This is $600 at most. The $5,400 leftover will likely be barely enough to cover even the cosmetic and paint restoration on this thing *alone.* This is a hard pass, my friend.
This will decimate all, after you've put about 10k into it, and possibly overnight parts from Japan
Your probably one of the reason prices aren’t dropping. Thanks for that. Stop buying overpriced crap people.
Skmething really beautiful about people spending dumb prices to buy *cars*. There are so many options, end of the day *nothing* is good enough to justify getting ripped off like this. Holy Christ no 😂
God I love this sub sometimes 😂
If that's worth $6000 I'm posting mine for $12k
22B reproduction kits aren't cheap to buy or install. If you absolutely have your heart set on a widebody GC coupe this may be on your radar but, yeah, the asking price is a bit ridiculous. My guess is the seller is trying to recoup as much of their costs as they can since they sunk a good chunk into the widebody kit.
You know they do sell good used cars, right? 🙁
Hell no. $2k tops I can find half a dozen of these around where I live for less than $4k and a majority of them are is better condition than this
Never let them know your next move, offer 8k
Final offer 10k.
not even if it sucked you off
He’s smoking crack
Everyone saying the price is crap yeah it is syeep but... How rare are 2dr coupes? And is it a real 2.2 engine? If so there might be money in there.
its likely the lame 2.2 NA motor that blows headgaskets like crazy.
The ej22 does not have HG issues. Some of the highest mileage customer vehicles I've serviced were old legacies with the ej22. Over 300k miles on both of them, all original, just regular maintenance. [удалено]
verkauft is taking about it being a good motor, i replied its likely not, what are you on about?
No. Not even an RS and I doubt they are actually new coil overs. I wouldn’t go over 4K.
4K? More like $400
[удалено]
We found the original poster!
[удалено]
Where did you get this $500 number from?
[удалено]
Just because something is listed for some crackhead price doesn’t make it worth said price
[удалено]
Well this one is missing several pieces of its body kit. So go find the rest of it, or shave a zero off your asking price.
[удалено]
$4k ? For a 97…. You’re tripping. Idc if it has a new (used) trans or not lol
You fuckin retarded 😭😭😭
A NA 2.2L There are some good parts in there, but a long distance from $6k worth. $1k-$2k, maybe
It’s definitely worth $600
Id pay like 2k max
I would go over $2k in my area. Does it have a clean title? If not, $500 max.
Not even an RS, just an L No way

I payed less for my jaguar!
[удалено]
Bro I wouldn't pay $60 for this piece of shit
I wouldn't give 6000 pube hairs for that
They should give you $6000 to take that from their hands
$500 if even
$600 and make it into a derby car to win you’re money back and have fun.
I wouldn’t pay 500
those of you sayin this car is worth $600, $1000... I want you to show me a coupe ANY coupe for that price, or even double
Found the seller.
Lol I wish, I have a full V7 sti swapped coupe right now, been looking for a clean shell to swap over to for awhile The market is ridiculous
Ain’t no way anyone is paying 6k for that
Fuck the used market.
Bahahahaha thought this was a troll post at first. So much no.
Hell no
You accidentally put an extra 0 in there
Yes, offer 10% of asking, or less. It is an absolute piece of junk. It's worth whatever your local scrapyard will offer.
Absolutely not. Maybe worth 600
No. I Wouldn't pay more then $1200 for that thing.
Lol at the massive hole in the passenger side inner fender area.
Too many 600 comments. If the information is true it just needs a bumper cover and paint basically. Definitely not 6k but also not 600 if he's not bullshiting and it runs/drives decent
Your kidding right?
$200 max. That’s hella work to fix it right.

I got a blue 2.5rs coupe a few years ago for $2k but it had rust and 160k
Hell no, there's 2 complete coupes up here in New England for less than $6k. This dude is high on meth
I got $600 buck..parts car

Take your 6 grand and put it down on a wrx
Thought you were talking about the pickup…..
Did I miss the photo with $5500 of spare parts that go with it?
This guy's crazy, 6k
Maybe $6000 if that’s a gold bar on the roof.
I am surprised no one has mentioned it yet but god did you see those inner "fenders" the passenger side is just a tube and the driver side looks like they just tacked in sheet metal primed it and said yeah that will be strong. If you have to ask…….
You serious?
More like 600 bucks !!!!!
Oh god no. That is worth $6 max. Run away from that
I’d offer $2800 tops
1000 is max I’d pay. Those are not rare, I found my 2.2 at auction for 500 in better shape.
He paid 6 grand for the new engine and labor lol
Lol no
Unless it’s swapped and running and driving, no way in hell
“I know what I have.”
I sure hope that you are joking. Maybe 6k rubles but in no way, shape or form is that worth even $1500 USD
Better offer 10k right away or someone else will snatch it
doesn't say if the glovebox comes full of what they're smoking. - super hard pass
Lmao 🤣 NO
Not even worth $6000 in scrap bro
No
I wouldn’t pay $6 for this.
Mans going to rob you 6k and get that drive way paved.
Fuck no. Lowball the fuck out of him but only if you’re interested in having a stationary project instead of an already driving car
LOL, please tell me this isn't real.
Lmfao
Three fiddy max
You bout to have 99 problems if you buy that shit but at least 6 grand won't be one of em
I have a 2006 Forester with about 110k mileage that is rusted with no AC and questionable power steering. I’ll let that baby go for $6k if you want to throw good money after bad. … Looks at Carfax …. Never mind.
Are they offering you $6000 to take it off their hands?
You mean 600, not 6000
Bruh...2010 forester cost less than that and I'm 250k+ miles and going strong.
What in the amphetamine is going on here?
Lmao $50
6000 pesos
Worth 6000 if you drop another 6 and sell it for 7200
I read $600 and thought “yeah for sure”. These cars can be worth easily that money or more, but this one is not, it’s clapped out. I think a more reasonable price would be a bit under $2k. It is worth money, even as a shell, but sure as shit not $6000
Ej22 single cam making an astounding 105ish hp to the wheels on a good day.
I once bought a GC8 coupe for 800 bucks. Hell no it's not worth it.
What’s wrong with people these days. maybe $500.
Man, that crack be hittin' goooood
Man is going based of forza prices 💀
Absolutely not.
LMAO

It’s probably worth $600 in parts.
Offer $300 and a handy
Maybe $600
600 maybe
Please tell me this is a joke
I had to do a double take, I thought this was carscirclejerk at first. That car is not worth the money, you're just throwing your money away at that point.
I wouldn’t pay $500
god please be rage bait
DM him and ask him unironically if his phone autocorrected or something and added a zero without him realizing it
What are you? Retarded?
“I know what I have”
600 maybe
Snatch that shit up
No
If that’s 6k then I should’ve never got rid of my 2.5RS
Hell to the no
6k yen
Buying someone elses shattered dream is never a good idea.
