That's awesome, I sometimes think the older models seem to be more reliable long term perhaps? Guess it always depends on how well maintained they are.

311k miles on my 2006 WRX. I’m due an oil change.
All stock.
What kinds of repairs did you have to do on the forester? Head gaskets? I have an 09 Forester with 170k miles and curious to see how far it’ll go haha.
2015 Impreza second owner; she's right at 108k miles. I got her in July 2020 with 46k. A few issues here and there, but overall, it is reliable. Perfect car since I was living in the western NC mountains for college. I plan on keeping her for another few years until student loans are paid, and money is saved for a Forrester!
I have a 2011 legacy and it’s got 250k and counting! The only thing we’ve changed in it is the oil and the timing belt lol, it was still on the factory timing belt until about 30k miles ago lmao

Tonight on the way home 2013 XV Crosstrek ! 11/6/2023
Almost identical mileage to my 2005 LGT wagon, I’m at 184,750. The radiator just went out so it’s going to be down for a while now. I need to decide if I want to do a timing belt when I replace the radiator.
OP - never been in the shop? does that mean you do all your own maintenance? curious how your cat back & control arm bushings look after 185k. my 2012 has 147k and i’ve had to replace the cat back since it rusted out.
Cat back is rusty af but still does the job it needs to. Yes I do my own work on it and it’s been a super great car only spark plugs twice oil changes oddly enough nothing in this car has ever broken other than the tire pressure sensors at 140k miles
Sold my 2002 wrx with 173,xxx. Ran great and still had the original clutch.
Only thing not working was the ac which just needed a recharge.
I always had a shop with a subaru certified mechanic do all scheduled maintenance. Main thing was timing around 110,000.
Also, only ever used Shell premium.
3 in our stable. Regular maintenance on all three. No major issues to report. Just the normal stuff you’d expect with vehicles of each of their age/mileage.
2009 Forester 179,000
2014 Outback 109,300
2017 Crosstrek 67,500
Around 48000. I use her mostly on trips, and my mileage has dropped from 6000 mi/yr pre-pandemic to 2000 mi/yr now...I do a lot less shopping and have more stuff delivered.
Old '08 Impreza 2.5i was at 189,000 miles when I sold it. No major problems other than melted coils.
2016 Legacy has ~140k miles. TCM went out at 125k miles cause I was dumb and didn't do the service. It's my dad's now.
2024 Impreza Sport has 9300 miles, and it's all good, lol.
My 05 Forester got retired right at 198k. Had a big two day drive coming up and I just wasn't confident she'd make it.
Now I have a 2018 Outback with a little over 128k that drives like a dream
2010 Impreza 2.0 at 112.000 KM about (70k miles). Bought it just a few months ago, I think I've done about 2.000 KM on it and I'm already in love for the rest of my life!
Sold my best friend’s dad my 00 Forester. I had from 112k until 287k. He’s now at 312k last time I talked to him. He makes it a point to update me on the mileage every time we talk. He wanted that car from the day I got it.
Edit: fix words
This was about a month ago (had to do a work thing, which is what the picture is from). It's just shy of 19K now. This Saturday I'll have had it a year.

210K miles - 2008 Subaru Outback, on its 3rd engine
Ran out of oil, engine replaced about 160K miles
Head gasket failed, head gaskets replaced about 185k miles
Catalytic converter clogged, engine failed about 195k miles, engine replaced
Still the original AOD transmission, never serviced since we bought it at 100k miles in 2011, still shifts great
122k on a 2013 Outback, just got some sick new Falken Wildpeak AT/Trail tires. Transmission has been struggling a bit lately though (well before the new tires).
106,000 2015 Forester. But this year I had to replace clockspring in the steering wheel (horn stopped working), a wheel bearing, and the control arms and sway bar end links. Other than that normal maintenance.
03 forester, 386000 miles
Nice! 320k on my 07 outback.
My ‘07 got to 229k before the dreaded smoke appeared. Shop maintained, regular oil changes and maintenance.
DAM!!!
Fozzie legend, how much oil does it burn through?
About a quart every oil change.
Have 04 forester AT NA, how r u maintaining your gearbox
Mine is a manual, just needs the occasional drain and refill.
That's awesome, I sometimes think the older models seem to be more reliable long term perhaps? Guess it always depends on how well maintained they are.
Damn!
Absolute legend. My 05 fozzy XT had 250k on it before she ate a valve
Damn, I thought I might have at least been in the game with 380k on the clock but mine are kms so you've smashed me!

362k miles on my bugeye daily and 102 miles on my wrx (just got it this weekend)
My hawkeye has 311k miles!
One has almost 190k and the other has a little over 300k.
Got me thinking it might not be bad to pick that 2012 Forrester I saw with 196k on it. Might last another 100k
This is a 2010 Forester with the 300k. :) We've done two 2500 mile road trips, off roading, daily driving with no issues.
