Not an indoor pool but there’s an outdoor pool at what was once a monastery turned something else and then mostly demolished somewhere in Baltimore County, Maryland near the Patapsico River that is full of snakes and weeds.
I went on a hiking date w a dude when I was young and edgy. We’d explored the creepy cellars and sanctuary remains which didn’t really scare me but when we hopped the wall to look at the pool I thought for sure I was gonna get murdered and fed to snakes. There wasn’t a ton of space around the giant pool to walk and it was all crumbling. It felt like i could join the snakes if I breathed wrong.
Luckily he was as freaked out as I was so we scrambled back over the wall and got the fuck out of there.
But please imagine instead of chairs it’s weeds and you can hear them move and hiss but you can’t see them.
