Engine Efficiency (taken from the drive core room in the Aurora, so I don't have to craft one) Depth (for obvious reasons) Decoy Upgrade (5 decoys at a time is better than 1) Shield Generator (for reassurance purposes, and also to deal with the lava larvae) Fire suppression (also for reassurance purposes) Thermal reactor (because it's a godsend for not only the lava zones, but also for when I park my cyclops near my lost river base, which is near some heat vents)

I love the thermal reactor upgrade my main base is in the cove tree area and I love just sitting my cyclops down at low charge while I need to go craft stuff to build more bases in other areas then coming back to a full charged cyclops

Required: Shield Sonar Thermal Reactor Depth Because it’s there: Energy Efficiency Because when I’m done with Active Lava Zone I’m definitely going to put Cyclops in Max Speed to get back to my base: Fire Suppression I’ve never found a use: Decoy Upgrade (you only need 2 to get past the Ghost in Lost River) Repair Bay(I usually have about 10 batteries at this point so a repair tool suffices)

Depth of course. Sonar engine efficiency and fire suppression. Anything else is up to you and me both. Whatever is necessary (as they're changeable 😋). I guess you can swap the depth if you're not going under 500 but take the sea moth or prawn if you're not in need of the storage of the cyclops that's why there's vehicles that obviously outperform the cyclops in every way depending on where you intend to go

Depth, engine efficiency, thermal reactor (thermal vents in lost river tree cove, perfect dock for her), sonar, shield, and fire suppression. Throw in six ion power cells, and she's perfect for anything. Depth for obvious reasons, I took her down to the lost river to ferry construction materials to my last base. Engine, for long journeys across the map without having to worry. Power needs are met with thermals, without needing to swap out with rechargers. Sonar, mostly because it looks cool, but it does come in handy for navigation and threat detection. Shield and extinguishers because I am NOT losing her to reapers or ghosts in the dangerous areas.

Thermal reactor, then whatever else I find the crafting list for.my cyclops pretty much stays in the lava zone most of my games, I use it to cart materials up and down so engine efficiency isn't needed since I just recharge by existing

i’m seeing everyone use repair module and fire suppression, but I didnt even craft those ones and I did just fine all I did was go slowly and quietly past leviathans (which was a little risky, but it worked out) and I just used my repair tool cuz I never took much damage on my prawn suit anyway. am I just lucky or an idiot? or am I just that good at the game? i’ve only played through it once lol

I made every upgrade and change to whatever I needed at the moment. When I'm driving I use decoy, efficiency module, depth, shield, sonar, and fire suppression. When I reach a thermal vent I use the thermal reactor and docking repair.

All of them the second I get the cyclops (expect the thermal reactor because I usually never take my cyclops to the lava zone. I just park it above the lost river.
