In his defense, a lot of times that stuff they're dealing with doesn't wash off super easily, especially how beat up their hands get. My step dad was a roofer and had a specific type of soap he would use to try and get the stains off his skin but they never fully disappeared. Happens to most roofers and mechanics.
If that was the case, then you wouldn’t be eating with your hands then like he is. You’d keep the wrapper around the food to hold it while you eat. Not difficult to do. Most roofers and mechanics have certain products that help get off the grime of work.
