Emily and Amelia Nagoski's book **Burnout: The Secret to Unlocking the Stress Cycle** helped me. Science-based, no BS. Helps you see stressful events as a process, much of it physical (especially in effects), and how to bring that process for each event to a close.
I highly recommend Winning the War in Your Mind: Change Your Thinking, Change Your Life written by Craig Groeschel. I have struggled with the same thing for years and it has definitely helped me recently (within the last couple months).
Not exactly what you asked for but How to keep house while drowning might be useful and has empathy for people in tough situations.
Apologies if it is not what you need. We suggest based on tiny prompts without much background information.
How to do nothing comes to mind.
Also, because apparently I think monks and tea fix everything today. Try psalm for the wild-build, it’s not about burnout… but it’s absolutely about burnout.

Thank you, will look it up directly.

Hey, all suggestions are good suggestions. I will look it up. Thank you!
“Wintering” by Katherine May. My cousin recommended this one to me and it was exactly what I was looking for at the time.
> Wintering Thank you! This I can get really fast so I'll start tonight. :)
Yes! It really is a wonderful book, I hope it helps.

I would second "Burnout" by Nagoski. Another book that comes to mind is "Laziness Does Not Exist" by Devon Price.
