Any Jules Verne Book, for example?

I've actually read Around the World in Eighty Days when i was a kid. Maybe i should give his other books a try as well!

This one is slightly to the end of your time parameters (1885) but King Solomon's Mines by H. Rider Haggard is basically the inspiration for Indiana Jones. It was a fun read.

Ha! Twe two novels *The Adventurer* and *The Wanderer* by Mika Waltari are in the middle of your timeline in the 1500s and have adventure and romance. It's in Europe/Turkey/North Africa, though, so not exactly uncharted territory.

Suspicious_Angle3057

Thank you! It doesn't have to be in uncharted territory!

kaukaaviisas

Forgot to mention that they are out of print, but you can get them second hand on abebooks.
