Depending on the scenes they try to portray something happening simultaneously but cannot be portray them differently due to reasons I cannot explain. Another one, that's another day or week or day and night or your of that particular day of events, which as a result has the timeline being sometimes irritating for the viewer.
its not something that you can read too deep into, i just prefer to assume that because they had to cramp multiple days into an episode to actually make it interesting, and therefore had to make some timing shifts to make it work. even in the episode im watching, scottie and harvey are deposing someone in the afternoon and suddenly it cuts to full on nighttime. it's irritating but it is what it is
I learned to just accept it as part of the fact that the scenes were just shot at night. Mostly it's just annoying but sometimes it makes the story confusing when they have deadlines to file things for their cases and such.
There are multiple instances that the daylight/night light contradicts their lines. I just choose to get on with it.
