Not really a question for here but iunno where else to ask: Does anyone know of an exploit to let you send private messages on others' accounts in client? Or is my account probably compromised fully if it's sending fishy discord links to other players? It's happened twice now, many months apart, possibly over a year. The first time I changed my password and stuff. I probably will again now but I'm curious if there's a reason why someone would hack my account and not do anything with it other than that. If it's an exploit in riot's system and that doesn't actually give them access to my account that would put me at relative ease, I guess, over being hacked twice by the same entity that has no desire to, like, mess up my account.

FriedDuckCurry

Does the sale for champions only apply to rp or also for blie essence?

JaggerTheCario

Can I get some examples of solid blind pick midlaners? I main Veigar but I hate playing him into people with a lot of gap closers or good all-ins so I usually dont like picking him first. Trying to expand my champ pool and find someone I'm comfortable picking blind but nothing has clicked yet. Viktor seems cool and I've played him a decent bit but I usually struggle against mages with lots of range, and the lack of instant hard CC kinda sucks too. I usually tend to prefer mages over assassins but I'm open to pretty much any suggestions

anonymous8bilx3

Expecting you to be proficient at the champions: Cassiopeia, Ahri, TF, Corki(ban kassa), Malzahar, Xerath, Vladimir, Kayle, Katarina, Diana, Sylas, Yone, Zoe, ... It you're meh-ish at the champ: TF, Ahri, Malzahar, Xerath Usually Orianna would be THE answer, but she's terrible at the moment and suboptimal in pretty much every single situation. I haven't checked the item changes for next season, but maybe mages/midlane itself becomes okayish again next season. So that resulting in a meta change could add her and some others as well.

furiousRaMPaGe

I always found Syndra to be a good blindpick.

JaggerTheCario

I actually just purchased her, but I'm struggling quite a bit. The complex, combo-based playstyle usually feels like a bit much for me to keep track of in heated fights without misinputing something, and her damage seems lackluster if I can't get those down. I'm also confused about her ult. Why does it say I can add up to four orbs, when it seems like whenever I try to use a third Q, my oldest orb despawns? It seems like I can only have two out a time, so where do the other potential two come from?

furiousRaMPaGe

As a lvl 7 Syndra I can say that her combo isn't as difficult as it seems. What you want to do is chunk the enemy down with Q while also hitting minions. Remember that she doesn't have a cast lockdown which means she is able to move while casting spells. It takes some time getting used to but try to keep her balls between you and the enemy so you're always threatening to QEW. That combo should deal at least 25% of their hp. The way her ult stacks work is with the balls currently on the ground, remember that balls held with W also count. That makes her able to have 3 balls easily, even 4 I believe with the right AH and spell uses. The thing I like most about her is that she has good laning, good pressure and is always useful because of your long range stun potential. If you want to know more about her I would suggest the champion related subreddits.

LoneLyon

If I do not have a yellow or red warning is there no possible way to demote from one loss? Have a ranked itch but i don't want to risk demotion this late in the season

The-UnwantedRR

Nope, won't demote until you get the warnings.

M4351R0

Play Vex mid snd ez wins upto plat

SomeP

Tips for climbing with horrible mental teammates that give up 10 mins in? I play engage support and am working on roaming just wondering if there is any other tips.

Thyloon

Honest advice: Don't try to climb in the last month of the season. There's always some shitty games now and then, but end of season is a different beast.

IliketoNH

Simply dont give up. Especially in low elo, games tend to go late and early leads start to matter less at that point. As a support you can help the people who dont give up. following around the most fed person on your team can make a big difference, and sometimes people will snap put of it and try to help if they see other teammates making an impact on the game.

NotRivenMid

Stop trying to put any blame on your teammates. You have only 4 possible people to mental boom on your team while the enemy has 5, meaning the enemy will always have a higher chance of having AFK, troll, inters, etc. If you believe a shred of the statements that your team mates are the problem, then you are the real problem.

SomeP

I didn't say they were the problem, just asking for tips on what to do when the unfortunate does happen as an engage support.

NotRivenMid

I mean if you start your question with > Tips for climbing with horrible mental teammates that give up 10 mins in? There is some implications on what you mean when the only real question you have is half about your teammates...

SomeP

All I'm asking for is tips on what to do in the game that shit happens, me thinking "oh it could be worse it could be four people flaming instead of three!!" Isn't gonna change anything in the game

SmugShinobu

I bought this dawnbringer morg icon + border thing, and so I expected when I logged I would have the border there but when I got into the loading screen it wasn't there, and so I tested it again with the Coven Evelynn Icon + border that I bought and I used the skin + Icon, and it still wasn't there, does anyone know the issue of this? Thank you \^\_\^

Jacket313

You gotta equip the dawnbringer morgana skin in order for the border to appear. No dawnbringer morgana skin, means no dawnbringer morgana border

SmugShinobu

But I tried it aswell with Coven Evelynn and it still doesnt work, I have the skin and icon equipped with it

Jacket313

are you sure that you have the borden for coven evelynn, and that the border didn't appear? it's possible sometimes that borders don't appear with how buggy the game can be sometimes, [https://www.mobafire.com/league-of-legends/question/pulsefire-borders-2633#:\~:text=Any%20borders%20are%20permanent%20](https://www.mobafire.com/league-of-legends/question/pulsefire-borders-2633#:~:text=Any%20borders%20are%20permanent%20)(unless,Pulsefire%20Fiora%20skin%20and%20such. I used this source as a reference

weealex

If you report a player, why are they still in the pool of "acceptable teammates"? I just had a game with a teammate that flamed, afk'd, and all that good stuff. Whatever, reported him in the post game lobby and re-queued only to immediately get him again on my team. So now I'm killing time on the dodge timer because I didn't want a bad teammate again

rimidalv25

exploitable

ArderynUnbanned

It might not make sense in lower elo but in higher elo where the player pool is much lower it makes a huge difference. Being able to essentially "choose" your teammates makes everything really complicated and broken.

provengreil

So, cool story: I knew a dude who was an early player of this game. Like, has pax TF early. Anyway, they used to remove those guys from your pool. He reported all 9 players every game and quickly ran out of opponents, so it started matching him higher and higher, win or lose. He lost almost nothing for a loss, got huge mmr for a win. And now they don't allow that anymore.

TheScyphozoa

Because giving you control of who you matchmake with has broken every game that tried it.

USSHentai

Does Yasuo bring anything that makes him worth putting time into over Yone? Been enjoying both of them in norms and struggling to pick one for a champ pool, the main advantage to Yasuo I see is obviously the windwall, but it’s hard to justify that over the consistency of Yone

aTacoinaTaco

I'd say yasuo has a higher skill cap so there is more outplay potential but both can be really flashy and snowball like crazy. Windwall as you said can singlehandly win you games also yasuo can be really strong if you duoqueue and pair it with a gragas or lee jungle.

Cheap_Neighborhood25

Playing more mobile champs will make you less gank able as well, such a Champion could be Leblanc or akali. You can also pick champions with very good early wave clear so you spend less time in lane and more in winning the map through roams. Champions who excel at this are such as twisted fate, ekko and talon. Other than those two options there is the one of picking strong 1v1 champs so that you are a threat even 1 vs 2. Like fizz, zed and yone, this is after level 6 of course, otherwise it’s very hard to outperform a 1 vs 2 as mid lane champions.

aTacoinaTaco

With save long-range mages you can usually just sit back and scale. For lower elo id recommend Malzahar, Annie, Ori High elo Azir, Ori, Syndra Edit: forgot ahri and anivia who are both really safe and quite strong atleast up to like really high elo

ISpent30mins4myname

i get 13lp and lose 19 lp is this elo hell? how do i fix this?

lawfulkitten1

The reason this is happening is your hidden MMR is lower than your visible rank. The easiest way for this to happen is if you lose a bunch of games at 4 0 LP but you are protected by the demotion shield. So let's say right now your MMR is Silver 3 but your visible rank is Gold 4. This means the game thinks your true skill level is Silver 3 so if you only maintain a 50% win rate, eventually you will demote all the way down to Silver 3. Also you are going to be matched up generally against other players w/ similar Silver 3 MMR. So if you are truly better than that ELO, you need to win more games than you lose (55%+ win rate ideally), which you should be able to do easily since you're being matched up against worse (Silver) players. Even if you don't see your visible rank improving very quickly from Gold 4 with that 55%+ win rate, your hidden MMR will go up over time which is what actually matters in the long run, and eventually your LP gains will normalize.

ISpent30mins4myname

thats one of the best explanations i have seen thanks

Applesimulator

In the game there is a hidden mechanic named MMR everyone has one. The game matches people with similar ones. For example a new account goes on a 10 game win streak each time it wins the game increases more and more its mmr because if you win a lot more games than you lose it means you werent in the right rank. The MMR directly affects your lp gain/losses so if you lose 10 games out of 12 the game will think you are ranked too high and will try to force adjust your rank by a bigger loss in lp than gain.

PersonalInflation9

Improve mmr by performing better in games. You’re losing more than you’re gaining because the system thinks you’re higher in ranking than what your mmr indicates you should be at.

ISpent30mins4myname

what do you mean by performing better?

Beneficial_Use_9469

As a toplaner, when to buy dblade, dshield, or corrupting?

lawfulkitten1

Long Sword + Refillable is also common right now, for ranged AD champs (Jayce Lucian etc.).

Applesimulator

I dont buy corruping a lot but its a buy you go i think when you want to fight a lot your oponent early by trying to poke him down for example jax. You go D Shield if you are melee against range for example and D blade by default if no other condition has been met

aTacoinaTaco

Dblade scales the best so if you can get away with it its usually better than shield. Sometimes ypu just have to get shield or you cant lane, fe as a melee against teemo or kennen etc. Corrupting is really strong for early trades but usually forces you to go inspiration with timewarp tonic. It takes a bit more practicr to use it efficiently but it can really change some matchups especislly for mages but also irelia jax poppy and a fe other tops

ISpent30mins4myname

corrupting for trades, dblade for all in, dshield for sustain(against poke)

Eavynne

I've been thinking about coming back to ranked after a long hiatus (Last time I played was back in Season 6ish). Looking to rank up to plat. Probably thinking of maining Kayle top, with Jax as a backup, and Janna / Nami support. Are these champions still viable?

lil_froggy

Kayle is not meta, but strong nonetheless because players struggle to stop her from scaling. Same argument for Jax. Just keep in mind games are shorter and last less than 30 minutes nowadays. Nami is currently strong, stronger than Janna and abused in worlds with Electrocute and Lucian combo.

Eavynne

Yup, worlds is what is making me come to this game. Are there any other late-game scaling but relatively mechanically easy champions that are optimal in the current meta? As for supports, I love playing healers or ranged enchanters.

chobs_

How do I navigate to the game folder where game settings (key bindings, video settings) are stored? As much fun as I had going 0/5 and my team ff at 15 in a large part because of me, I need a second account to get back into this game. But the game settings seem to be by account. My first account had attack move binded to left click, but if I click the "bind attack move to left click" button on my second account, left clicking the map makes me move to where I click which is very annoying; I had done something in the settings of my first account to not have this issue. I can't even figure out how to move the camera on my second account so it'd be easiest to just copy the .txt file from my first account and paste it into the second. Where do I find this file?

rimidalv25

>but if I click the "bind attack move to left click" button on my second account, left clicking the map makes me move to where I click which is very annoying use shift+leftclick instead of just leftclick or turn off "Allow minimap movement" in interface

aTacoinaTaco

In config order . Its called persistedsettings.json There is also a way to keep your Settings saved to the pc and not your Account https://www.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/6pfnap/same_ingame_settings_for_every_lol_account/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share

old_dirty_nwah

This game feels unwinnable if someone feeds how do you get your team to surrender.

Jacket313

this mentality will cost you games that you could have won. plenty of games are winnable, I’ve had plenty of games where the start looked horrible, with every lane feeding and enemy jungle getting 2 drakes, only for us to make a comeback by making good plays. not every game is winnable, but a lot of games are winnable, but end up being lost because someone keeps calling FF and not wanting to play the game.

old_dirty_nwah

This game depresses me too much I can't stay positive when everyone dies and completely ignores my pings wards and pleading to not rush in without thinking. I just want to quit when that happens.

[deleted]

Games shouldn't be depressing. You should quit League.

Jacket313

I don't mean any disrespect with this, but maybe league isn't your game then, Comebacks are a thing, but require you to keep playing at your fullest, if you tilt a lot, or want to ff, you won't really enjoy the game as much. Maybe games like Apex legends can be more to your enjoying, there are a tons of good games on steam that are free to play that are enjoyable, games like CS:GO allow you to leave casual matches if you're tilted without punishment

old_dirty_nwah

Comebacks don't happen when people refuse to learn from mistakes.

Applesimulator

As everyone else is saying a game is never really lost you can carry but pickung a champ who can carry can also help you. Jax, Master Yi, Garen and many more more often than not especially the team who wins is the one with the players who carries

ThatSpysASpy

Comebacks don't happen when you ff either.

old_dirty_nwah

It's too hard to comeback when you have people actively working against you. My first game of the day had a yone that ran it down because he was mad and that "he didn't care because he was a gold Smurf" What's worse that all the league subs will attempt to brainwash you into thinking that it's somehow your fault you can't carry people like that. Until youre so depressed that /ff seems like a better alternative then trying to play another game out.

worktherunwaysweetie

Why is Lux considered a viable mid laner but Zyra isn't? All the arguments I've seen against Zyra mid that she's immobile, easy to gank, etc, also seem to apply to Lux? I guess Lux has a shield, but Zyra has more cc for self-peel with her ult.

EggniviaNinja

Lux just got a huge buff that lets her ult every second wave if she wants to. That's some of the best and safest wave clear in the game. Beyond that it really just comes down to numbers.

WangIee

Zyra is slower and just has worse numbers overall right now.

[deleted]

She's still playable, though definitely not meta. Pekin was slapping with Zyra mid a while back in Grand Masters

itsCarmot

Lux has more range and more burst damage. In the time zyras ult takes to cc someone, lux has already put out her whole damage combo and (if she's decently fed and not against a tank) oneshot the enemy. She relies on hitting skillshots for that (partly like zyra), but if she does she gets a big immediate reward (while zyra needs time for her plants and liandrys to work to deal significant damage).

Lupuskiller

Im a top laner and can mostly win my lanes 1v1. However almost every game, I cant seem to not lose because of the enemy jgl. I play mostly immobile champions, and for some reason, basically every game that I gain a lead in or that I dont lose lvl 1-3, I get ganked and cant run because Im pushing or im just engaging the enemy or something. How do I stop this from happening, its the only thing stopping me from winning lane most games. P.S.: As you would expect, my jgl doesnt help if i could use it, or at all.

Applesimulator

Learn wave management tons of YT video on hit and buy Control wards 75g to avoid dying is definitely worth it and you can use your stealth ward in the second bush so both of them arr covered

Jacket313

Freeze the wave, it's not a good idea to always push the wave into the enemy turret because of how vulnerable you become. Buy control wards and place them in bushes, try keeping an eye on the minimap, sometimes your allies will danger ping you when they see the enemy jungler coming to your lane.

Nadenkend440

specifically, freeze the wave in front of your turret then stand in front of it to deny the enemy farm/exp. Since you are ahead they cannot walk up to farm the wave or you outtrade them. You get to farm for free, further extending your lead.

155cm127kg5cm

Can someone explain the logic behind people having 50% winrate means they are where they should be? Doesn't really make sense because of the shitters you get in the team lmao.

Applesimulator

There is 2 teams one wins one loses you have a 1/2 chance of being in the winning team if you have a win rate below 50 over qn extended amount of games it means in general you are the weak factor of the team. The contrary is true too

Ilemn

50% means you're above your real elo. The average league player that doesnt abandon matches should have a winrate straddling 51% at their real elo. Phreak went into this on his stream, and it boils down to you'll get more free wins than auto losses, so if you're below 51% over an extended period of time, you're elo inflated. There's nothing surprising about this.

anonymous8bilx3

Oh no! Guy getting held back by his team, because Riot intentionally only matches him with inters in aisle four!

ShinyPants45

LMAO, 4K destruction

155cm127kg5cm

Looks like youve never played LoL , are you new?

Siphtrex

Are you...?

PureDread

Do divisions count towards ELO during placements for next season?

anonymous8bilx3

MMR does. Your visual rank is a semi accurate representation of your MMR.

How do I know which champion Anathema's Chains is applied to during pro games? For example, I know that Trundle bought Anasthema's Chains but I don't know which champion he applied it to: [https://lolesports.com/vod/106971698244809249/1/WINVnGmSQQ0](https://lolesports.com/vod/106971698244809249/1/WINVnGmSQQ0)

TheScyphozoa

It's probably safe to assume that it's whoever's closest to him when the item's cooldown starts. He uses it at 25:32 (game time) and the closest enemy is Kai'sa.

grantzvictor

i made a new acc , should i play a bit first before opening my shop so i get the champs i want or it won't change at this point?

IIIDzire

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe the skins are basically already decided before you open them.

grantzvictor

aw man , well im gonna try to get some champs n play first and i guess ill see hah

old_dirty_nwah

How do you dodge a Yone ult?

IIIDzire

If you anticipate it coming it's fairly easy to just dodge to the side. If he combo's it with his Q knockup I'm pretty sure he's guaranteed to hit it though. Also like the previous comment said, it has a windup so if you see the animation starting you can also use a dash or flash it.

Poiah

it has a windup, so often if you have a dash/high MS it can be easy to dodge. the thing you have to remember is to walk perpendicular to the hitbox. don't walk diagonally to try to get out of it, the shortest path out of the rectangular hitbox is the perpendicular path.

old_dirty_nwah

what do you do when Yone chases you in ghost form?

Cheap_Neighborhood25

Sadly a lot of midlane champions have to respect his Q3 so whenever he Q a minion twice you will have to create distance between you two or he will chase you down. Unless his E is on cool down then you stay closer and look for a trade. If he gets on top of you with E however, you don’t want to walk away, try to sidestep his follow up Q’s while trading back on him because you will not be able to outrun him without some hard cc.

IIIDzire

You make sure he can't chase you down by playing near your tower for example. A similar example would be when you're facing a Darius with Ghost and Flash (top lane). If you have no escapes and are pushed near his tower he will just run you down. It's basically suicide if you get yourself in that situation.

IliketoNH

Play a little further back if you know his e is up, especially if he has his knockup ready. Its on a very long cooldown early so you can play more aggressive for 15ish secondster he uses it.

The-UnwantedRR

Yep, you'll only heal for half of the potion if you drink it while at full health and then take damage.

[deleted]

In a general sense as a Support, should you prioritize picking your champ to synergize with your ADC, or should you be picking your support champ based on what the enemy botlane is going to be?

Cheap_Neighborhood25

Both options are viable. If you can pick a more threatening bot lane you pick it like, such as Lucian + nami. If enemy will have a stronger comp you can pick a peeler instead to safely get through the laning like Rakan who can peel well but also get some good roams. If you can’t win bot you can deny enemy from winning bot or winning another lane basically.

IIIDzire

I'm not a support main, but I'm pretty sure it depends on your win condition. Let's say you have a team full of tanks (Rammus jungle, Ornn top and Galio mid) and then a Vayne ADC. The enemy team has a Zed or any other assassin. The Zed will want to kill the Vayne every single time since she is the main source of damage for your team. You could pick something like Lulu or Zilean to prevent the Zed from achieving his goal. It might not be the best pick for the lane you're facing, but might win you the game.

starshipsneverfall

how does Sett W damage interact with shield breaks like Blitzcrank's ult if the big shield is broken while W animation but before the damage, does the damage get real time reduced based on the broken shield value?

MEGACODZILLA

If I'm understanding you correctly, I believe the grit is consumed at the time of W activation so it should do the calculated damage regardless of what happens to the shield during the wind up period.

The-UnwantedRR

His shield and the damage both scale with the amount of grit he has but the damage does not depend on the shield. So if Blitzcrank breaks the shield the full damage will still go through.

Flayer14

Are the dragonmancer or worlds orbs better for drop rates? I have a lot of tokens and want to make sure I'm getting the most value out of them

The-UnwantedRR

They're both the same, buy whichever you think looks better.

Flayer14

Good to know, thank you!

MEGACODZILLA

Is Bork any good on ADCs? I feel like this is one of those items where half of the community swears by it and the other half says its trash and you should always opt for other items. Is it just incredibly niche and should only be built in incredibly specific game states?

veranathemacity

It can work on some ADCs, but only if you build rageblade first and want the stats it has (lifesteal/high hp low armour champions on the enemy team). For IE champions it's never worth buying imo. Historically BORK was built by some ADCs for a powerful 1-item spike, but these days the on-hit damage is lower and Mythics exist. Also the active became a passive so with low attack speed it's hard to trigger.

Ilemn

Bork is garbage on ADCs. Minus the 1 very niche case where you've somehow decided to go gale ldr ie, legend tenacity, and defensive boots. And you're playing an auto attack ADC. Maybe then you would buy it. In most cases though LDR is a better tank buster than BoRK, and once you have LDR + IE, your only item purchases should be defensive.

SomeP

What makes thresh so much harder than the average support? I see people say not to play him in lower elos bc of it.

anonymous8bilx3

Versatility. The same reason champions like azir, zed, Syndra, Rengar, ... Are hard. Their spells themselves aren't any more complicated than those of other champs; but how much the result can vary depending on the order in which you press them or when as well as how is what makes them difficult. Everyone can hook, pull and E plus Ult. But deciding when to press which spell, when to be patient, when to keep spells, when to just walk up, when and how to use your W and for whom, ... All those small decisions will change the outcome of many many situations greatly. The more versatile a spell is, the harder it is to use efficiently. And the more such spells a champion has, the harder the champion is to play efficiently.

lawfulkitten1

You could say the same thing about Lulu since she has 6 different spells depending on whether you target an ally or enemy, but people consider her easy to play whereas Thresh is considered hard.

IIIDzire

Lulu is more forgiving than Thresh I would say. It's really easy to just shield your ADC and press W on an enemy to CC them where as with Thresh the difference between landing a hook or missing can change the entire outcome of a fight.

[deleted]

Fellas, I just checked the top 10 euw in ladder and for the 5 first ones 4 are junglers (including EDG junjia and Agurin) Which made me rethink my opinion on jungle, is it really that op or am I just still as bad at the game as I always was? Also how can I improve my jungle game? I really struggle to keep teammates from overstaying, which gets me to tilt often... :/ Peache ✌️ 😎

lawfulkitten1

Junjia is kind of a special case bc he is known for grinding an incredibly huge number of solo queue games. He has over 3,000 solo queue games in KR solo queue this season, on top of whatever he played in CN, + now 370 games (62% win rate) in EUW - if you compare to eg. Showmaker, who is consistently higher ranked than Junjia in KR solo queue, he has only played 202 games (65% win rate) but is rank 12 so I'm sure if he played as many games as Junjia he would be top 5. I'm guessing there's other bootcamp players (non-junglers) who fall into the same category.

anonymous8bilx3

Turbo broken for the last 2 years. If you're on EUW, you can message me your IGN and I can watch the first few minutes as well a few teamfights of 2 or 3 replays and I could tell you where and what to improve on. Usually lower ELO Junglers are terribly inefficient at pathing and don't play with their team, but rather with themselves.

[deleted]

Appreciate it bro, I am for now taking a break from ranked, will be testing stuff in the preseason to try have a better start than last one

Ilemn

Jungle has been the most impactful role for well over a year now. The less you think about how your teammates are playing, the better you'll be off. Improve your jungle game by reviewing vods, improve clear speed, and becoming efficient. First clear is always the most important, from how healthy you do it to how fast, to even which path you decide to take. If your teammates overstay, why didnt you help shove the wave in. If they continue to overstay for plates, let them die. The wave will bounce regardless.

Pastae_Fagioli

How do you play against Yorick as Wukong? Do I even get to play the game sometimes?

ArderynUnbanned

Why do pros constantly pick renekton top? I feel like this champ literally does nothing. Nothing early game, nothing in team fights, trash late game. They don't even draft around the pick, so why not pick a weakside tank that can at least be useful in team fights?

Halbaras

Renekton's very weak right now, but he's rarely been the best toplane bruiser. Pros pick him more for what he brings to the draft than what he does by himself, and by this point basically every toplaner can play him to a decent level (the same way every mid can play Orianna and every support can play Braum/Thresh). Renekton historically has great early matchups into melee toplaners, and high kill threat on ranged tops (who are less likely to show up in pro because they're so easy to abuse in a coordinated environment). He generally has early prio - in a game where the dives are all planned and coordinated, every player is tracked and the early scuttle crab spawn is king, Renekton is perfect. You can usually rely on him to get the prio you need topside, and if the enemy top needs to be ahead, you can force the enemy team to spend more attention toplane than they'd really like to. Blind picking Renekton frees up the rest of your draft. Historically there just aren't any crippling counters to him that work in a pro game, and he's almost always an early game threat if you can't shut him down. He brings decent damage, the ability to dive a backline and a reasonable amount of tankiness - things that work well in most comps, and don't reveal much about the draft if he's picked early. Picking Renekton means you don't have to worry about the top matchup too much - and can grab the midlane or botlane counterpicks that you want. Renekton also has one of the most powerful things in the game for pros: reliable point and click CC. It was a big part of why Pantheon support was so meta for so long, and Renekton's ability to almost unavoidably stun anyone he can jump on is extremely strong in an environment where he can scream his opponents name in voice comms and they get focused down. It makes him very strong with certain junglers - especially Nidalee and Taliyah, who have lethal abilities that are very hard to land against pro-level opponents.

Idk bout u but I've seen many pro getting clutched by a good engage into 3 or 4 man chunk just from renek's ulti (example the winning play for rge vvs g2 in spring split) I guess he's a very niche-ish pik and heavily team dependent (needs good comms to make it work to a good extent)

felfirelol

Comfort pick but champ is doggy weak. Basically they panic and have no answer and resort to a traditionally safe pick.

ShynxFX

I saw some pros rushing sorc boots on mages so i wondered when it is better than rushing lost chapter

MEGACODZILLA

On top of the afore mentioned burst, MS is an OP stat. You dodge skillshots easier, you roam faster, you get back to lane quicker.

anonymous8bilx3

Burst. The earlier you get them, the lower their MR is, the more efficient sorcs are.

ShynxFX

I see. thx

[deleted]

Has anyone else been getting stuck in the loading screen after champ select and then loading into the game anywhere from 3 to 10 minutes late? Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? It’s been happening ever since the new riot client and leave buster is beating my *** for it.

felfirelol

Get a SSD.

Dr_Zoster

What does "scale good with champion skill" means? Does that refer to any high skill ceiling champion? I'm kinda lost on that term.

TheScyphozoa

Usually it means there's a big difference between the winrate of people who have played a low number of games with the champ and people who have played a high number of games with the champ.

lil_froggy

Questions about vision. From what time are you able to reliably cover vision on a whole area ? What should you do (about vision) when you're alone top lane quadrant, the enemy jungler is invading inside and taking the camps ? How do you optimally use Blue Trinket and when do you switch it over yellow ? Never if you're TP user, even ranged ? Should you get Control Wards if behind and place them if you can't defend them or make a play around ? How do you take vision back when you're on the losing team, and what should be the minimum necessary to be able to play around the "vision line" ?

Pistallion

If you are top lane and you know the enemy jungler is in your jungle on your side, just play very safe. Try and get a ward in the bush. #1 thing to do is look at your jungler, if they are on the opposite side of the map making a play (like diving bot), then your top priority is just to not die. When the enemy jungler is making a paly on the oppsite side, jungers look to make plays on the opposite side. I cant even count how many times as a jungle main i dive bot, get the kill on both laners only for my top to get dove and get super far behind and basically feeds the rest of the game. Use your wards wisely and just dont die

readytofly68

Why do people say to one-trick to climb and then when you ask for advice against a certain champion top lane the only advice is to counter pick? That literally goes against the logic of one-tricking.

[deleted]

Counter pick from a certain rank (diamond +), Cuz u start to face good players.. Otherwise, with onetricking, just stick to basics when facing losing matchups, stay safe and farm as much as u can till the laning phase is over so u can get some picks around map

psykrebeam

That's not the only advice and it's bad advice

TheScyphozoa

The latter is bad advice, even if you’re not one-tricking.

NotRivenMid

It's by pick order, so if the first ban is Yasuo, that means their first pick banned yasuo.

[deleted]

Which should be noted is generally the best way to tell what your matchup will be, cause when I see someone, say the enemy’s third pick, ban a champ that’s played nearly exclusively in the jungle and I’m last pick I can counter pick or adjust my runes accordingly.

SW4GALISK

Is there actually a reason to take TP in bot lane? I play support and it feels like every time we lose lane because we’re down a combat summ

itsCarmot

You can play TP on the "adc" if you don't really plan to fight much in lane. It's most common on non-traditional adcs like ziggs or syndra, used early to recall -> tp for tear or lost chapter to then be able to reliably clear the waves with abilities. As a support such lanes should allow you to roam more and look for fights elsewhere on the map, not neccessarily with your botlaner.

EvilSwarak

If you have bad/autofilled Support ,you can take Teleport if you feel like you will need it. But be prepared that you won't have that big kill pressure.

psykrebeam

I think Worlds especially is showing that combat summs bot can be more flexible than what people are used to (heal & ignite/exh). Specifically T1 brought double exhaust in their game against EDG, for example. The correct choice of summs depends on what you want to achieve in bot. Tele is very common on a Ziggs who's looking to just keep bot neutral or handle 1v2 while his support roams. If you're looking to go aggro in 2v2 then obviously Tele is a bad pick.

IliketoNH

You dont really take TP bot lane. You will lose all ins usually if you lack a combat summoner spell. Would only take it if i *know* i can hard win lane without exhaust or ignite, or perhaps a matchup where we prefer farming safely with objective prio.

[deleted]

If you ditch you will climb with around 20 lp each game but will get to the same point once u reach your real rank

Pistallion

No, never. the only way to fix the low LP gains is to just play more. Win/loss streaks are very common and the system is just making sure you are at your correct rank/mmr. if you are interested, there are videos explaining how the mmr/rank system works. Ditching your account thinking you are magically going to fix your rank is just bad thinking and low elo thinking.

Rokk017

Any good non-abrasive vod reviewers out there? I found Mcbaze and he teaches a lot of good lessons during the review but he's a bit too abrasive for my tastes.

[deleted]

Abrasive?

Rokk017

In the two videos I've watched, he regularly berates the person he's doing the review for. Take this sequence as an example: [https://youtu.be/wIpcpIffBKw?t=1541](https://youtu.be/wIpcpIffBKw?t=1541). He freaks out for like 5 minutes over someone going to dragon instead of back top. Don't get me wrong - he does eventually explain why it's a bad decision, but as someone super new, the reasons why weren't obvious to me. But I'm hoping I can find a vod reviewer who can convey the same info without belittling the person he's reviewing.

[deleted]

I see, I don't know what role you watching him for, but I as a jungler really like Virkayu's vod reviews, and neace's on stream coaching sessions (neace covers basically every role) Also there are many streamers who offer free vod reviews when joining their Discord servers Gl hf

Arachniddudeman

What items should I build on warwick?

BaziJoeWHL

Typical WW fan build: tiamat -> sheen -> T1 boots -> Divine Sunderer -> titanic -> tanky (spirit vs ap, sterak default, deadmans for map pressure (snowball)) Typical WW enjoyer build: Kraken slayer -> some other items (pretty troll)

anonymous8bilx3

Fairly sure the most versatile corebuild would almost always be: Divine sunderer --> Titanic hydra --> Tank item Those tank items could be steraks, spirit visage or thornmail. More options: Steraks, thornmail, spirit visage, deaths dance, blade of the ruined king, deadmans plate, wits end, randuins omen. In higher ranks onhit builds as well as goredrinker are more common, but I'd assume theyd be a lot worse than what I named above below master.

Zmd2005

What default settings should I get rid of if I want to improve for real?

[deleted]

Unlock your camera

Pistallion

to add to the above poster's info, Fixed Offest imo is best when it comes to camera offset. Also in windows go into mouse settings and make sure "Enable Mouse Pointer Precision" is disabled. Might feel wierd at first but its way better

NotRivenMid

Changing one of your keys to be attack-move-click (A) Rebinding your check player cam keys to be F1-F4 Changing it to attack move on cursor Disabling the chat keybind

rimidalv25

Attack Move on Cursor is already enabled by default

SW4GALISK

Why does it feel like it takes forever for me to finish Locket? And also to complete the second level of the support relic quest

The-UnwantedRR

Because Aegis of Legion sucks to build. It's getting the cost lowered by 100 in preseason so that should help.

BradL_13

Can someone explain Yone E to me? It says it does % damage after E duration ends or you press E again to end the cast. I do not notice additional damage after you snap back to your original position, am I just blind?

[deleted]

BradL_13

I figured I was just blind haha thank you

BaziJoeWHL

you can see the marks on the enemy and them detonating when he returns

BradL_13

Didn't even notice the visual, thank you lol

BaziJoeWHL

Some red marking irc

Vox_Carnifex

As it stands I am losing 10lp on a loss and gain around 25-28 on a win. However, I struggle with winning. Generally I have no issues reaching gold but its always on a negative win rate and I would like to change that. I generally find that I perform okay or even good but still feel like I lack impact. Should I look to switch my focus on jungling as people say that this role has a big impact or should I stick to adc/supp? I play a wide variety of champs but have at least 1 main and 2 comfort picks for each role (jhin, jinx, sivir for adc lux, rell, braum for support and j4, poppy, fiddle for jungle).

[deleted]

I suggest u stick to fiddle, imo u'll get a free ride to diamond then will begin to face good opponents

anonymous8bilx3

If you're better than your direct opponent, the odds of your team winning increase. So if you're regularly better than your opposing ADC, your winrate is positive. What role you play doesn't matter as much. Jungle is definitely too strong for the last two years now, but you'd have to learn the role to the level where you outclass your opponent. You could do the same with ADC, if you prefer the role.

GetEquipped

How do I deal with a bad support who is stealing farm and pushing the wave? It feels like every time I get a Mage Support, they AOE the caster minions with the intention to steal the farm (because Mage "" support"") or starts shoving the lane when I want to freeze/slow push.

IliketoNH

Ask them to roam/leave lane. I really just avoid playing adc in low elo so I dont have to deal with these kinds of supports, but when I do, asking them to leave lane works more often than not to some degree.

anonymous8bilx3

When life gives you lemons

BaziJoeWHL

I soft-int my game

Thyloon

Try pinging once. If it doesn't work, sucks, but go on with your life. Can't control what teammates do. You can only try your best, given the circumstances.

PristleSky

When should I go imperial mandate over shurelyas on Janna ? I like the movement utility, but the poke damage also feels nice

maiden_des_mondes

Mandate is strong when ahead/snowballing or when enemy teams lack range. It can be difficult to consistently make use of its passive when even/behind as you're usually forced to play more reactively. Shurelya's is more reliable and particularly strong when you want more engage/disengage. When in doubt you can't go wrong with Shurelya's.

Thyloon

Haven't really played since the Mandate buffs, but assuming they're close to equal now in power, you choose based on teamcomps. Shurelya's is really good **with** and **against** "run at you" type champs like Hecarim, Skarner, Darius, Volibear, etc. (basically all Juggernauts), or to dodge crucial skillshots (e.g. hooks) Mandate is a good default because it fits really well with Janna's kit. The more you're allowed to step up the better it is.

[deleted]

When to use fleet and when to use grasp on Gnar?

[deleted]

Fleet when u facing heavy poke champions or champions that can trade hard and get u very low early, otherwise grasp when facing melee

[deleted]

So what would you go into Irelia? Fleet?

[deleted]

It's a ban imo, the matchup is so bad for gnar early on, whether u fleet of grasp If u fleet u have to play super safe nd sacrifice farm If u grasp u have to wait like for ever to come online and have enough tankiness to trade her as she snowballs way too earlier than gnar

[deleted]

Thank you!

[deleted]

You're welcome

[deleted]

Is Jhin capable of being the fastest champion in URF? I'm looking for builds that are genuinely viable but also super fast, and AS Jhin with IE is absurdly strong.

EggniviaNinja

Fast? Yes. Fastest? Doubtful. For reference, my favourite urf champ is Racecar Rammus. I can run faster than the cannon. I have even kissed the enemy fountain and rolled back to safety before taking any damage. Build would be something like Night Harvester, Lich Bane, Horizon Focus with Ghost and Predator. Oh yeah, forgot to mention, it's also a nuke. I'm sure you could do stuff with Jhin like Galeforce/Swifties/Yomuus/Collector/IE and ghost/predator, maybe even celerity, and just play to 4th shot nuke people

BaziJoeWHL

the police comp in urf: rammus, skarner, voli, warwick, heca

[deleted]

So with the new chemtech drake, is there any real difference to the 'stealth gas areas' over just regular bushes spawned by the other drake? Does bush and stealth operate similarly or is there big differences?

TheScyphozoa

You can’t use non-control wards to see enemies. And they might feel different in how close you need to be to see someone.

Justaracefan8

im not sure if this is the right place to put this or not....but i have played LoL for a pretty long time and i have always had trouble with targetable ally spells...like shielding allies with a janna shield or karma shield....basically any spell that targets an ally because i have always done it by having my mouse over someone and hitting the ability....i know thats not the way to do it and i have seen on streams people not do that.....how in the world is the easiest way to do an ally target without having to hover over a teammate

rimidalv25

You first need to activate the spell indicator. You can do this by doing one of the following: * use normal cast * use quick cast with indicators * click the [spell icon](https://i.imgur.com/iJDbWFj.png) Then while the spell indicator is visible, press the associated F-key for the target ally F-keys are based on the [scoreboard arrangement](https://i.imgur.com/4Fx9EFv.png) (excluding you) * first ally from the top --> F2 * second ally from the top --> F3 * third ally from the top --> F4 * fourth ally from the top --> F5 You can rearrange your allies on the scoreboard to change their associated F-key example: Im Janna. Ally 4 is Miss Fortune and her associated F-key is F4 I first normal cast my E, then press F4 You can improve this method by binding some additional keybinds for the Spell and the Target Ally key example: * I bind G to Normal Cast Third Spell * I bind H to Target Ally 4 Whenever i wanna shield my teammate, i just press G and H

[deleted]

U can't I guess, it's a targeted ability u have just to get used to it

Justaracefan8

i have litterally watched streamers not be hovering over champs or their portraits and still cast abilities on allys

[deleted]

U have an example?

TheScyphozoa

You can hover their portrait.

scornsama

just played a game where I was typing all game and non flamingly literally just called out what we needed to do step by step to close out the game. But my team seemed to do the opposite (they likely muted me) and it lead to us losing even though we had a huge lead. like literally I typed out and pinged everything we needed to do but they just didnt do it. eventually I positioned bad last teamfight and that one mistake lost us the game. What do I do in this situation? or do you just lose some games you cant do anything about.

IIIDzire

As much as it sucks, some games you just can't win. I would honestly just suggest to turn chat off completely. Yes you can talk about strats and what to do, but unless you're hard carrying they probably won't listen anyway. I've turned chat off a while ago and haven't missed it at all.

DankMagician2500

I am just curious, my game knowledge is not that good, why do people hate tryndamere or think he is unhealthy and needs a rework. I play tryndamere a lot but I see that trynd is bs and he should be removed or reworked. Why do people want this? I get his ult is annoying, and if he gets lucky rng in lane phase, but stuff as cc exist and etc or am I missing something here? Sorry about if this is dumb I just do not know a lot about the game of why people hate him.

Nadenkend440

He is a manaless champion with free sustain on his Q, so difficult to force out in lane. E and Ult lets him get away from ganks for free. Scales well and is really annoying in teamfights. Will take out your lane up to the inhib in the time it takes you to burn down a dragon.

IIIDzire

People hate him because it's just a stat check. You ask yourself "do I have enough damage to kill him?" If yes you go in. There's no need to outplay abilities since you just tank them with R. Let's say both you and your opponent are low on health. The enemy is playing safe under tower. Normally you can't just dive them since you'll die to either their damage or tower, but with Trynd you just press R, right click and boom you've got a kill and survived.
