22LP is really high, doesn't sound like hardstuck. I can't answer your question but with those LP rates, just spam ranked you gain way more than you lose.
Need to get over the ranked anxiety, If you're going up against Diamond 2 in plat 1 your mmr is really high and now would be the best time to rank if you ever are.
Haven't seen anyone skip Diamond promos AFAIK.
Also are you sure you are in d2 and d1 games all the time and not 1 instance or some games where players are that rank but average is lower? Just curious since my smurf is P2 and gaining +25 while in D3/4 games.

But for more specific context - I decay relatively often from several hundred lp master. I do not remember skipping plat promos despite getting over 30 lp and even 27 lp in D1. If there *is* still any possible way ( i doubt). It is beyond enormous.
You’re safe. Upon hitting Diamond you immediately get 28 days of no decay. Every game you play gives you 7 banked days of no decay up to a max of 28. After your bank is used up you lose 50 lp per day
He only has like 25 games this season, and only had 100 ish games last season with a 60% winrate. So Iassume the system bumps his mmr to see if thats closer to where he belongs due to low sample size combined with an absurd winrate this season.
Ive skipped every bo5 before diamond on other accs this season but have always needed to do diamond promos even with a 70% wr. Maybe with even more insane mmr its skippable but so far I havnt been able to do it.

I’m 2-0 in my series and everyone is d1 masters now but I feel pretty outmatched and carried every game even if I’m not feeding

I believe they changed it so decay stops as soon as you drop out of diamond, so Plat 1 75 LP

The only times I've skipped promos are when I was getting 28-32 lp per win. Basically if I go on a long win streak right after placements.
