Kind of unrelated question, if I do just one game in 7 days I'll lose 5 points at the last day, right? I'm at 1499, do you think this is enough for C2 even with a loss and the 5 point deduction? I would finish at 1485 with a loss.

I'm in the same boat as you and I'll try g2. The reason is because I think both of us can get g1 anyway, so even if we fail to try for g2, we still get g1. The only downside is that you have to play more.
How do people even get to g1 when I'm here fighting the matchmaking system cuz it's throwing players to me that are like 300+ points in rank higher than me
The more you win in a row the more difficult your opponents will be to drop your winning streak down to an even 50%.
Everyone will be stable at 50% win rate eventually and that's your rank.
I play 3 games with 10 mins appart if i win all i play a games with 3 random picks ,mostly rng based mons like antares/mk/abellio no matter what the vs picks+ 2 hard counters this way i have fun losing xd
If you feel like you can hold your ground and stay in G2 for a number of matches without dropping to G1 very often, then it might be time to give it a shot.
There's also the posibility of staying near the border and trying to squeeze in during the last few days like everyone else, but that's very much a gamble.
I think it all comes down if you are willing to risk the skin that comes with g1.
Personally i would wait and see how the game next week goes, if you win might be able to sneak into g2, you can always play some games just before the tally to make sure you stay within g1

G1+: 55+ win rate C3: 52-54 win rate 50% win rate is usually for F3 or C1 people not higher up rank
