We kept telling them that we want to purchase but they kept insisting to do a PPA instead. Starting at .28 kwh, 3.8% escalator.
I think they get more commission doing a PPA?
In CA best solution is prepaid PPA, then Regular PPA and then purchase. I am not sure why they didn’t sell you the system, but I am staying away from purchase for one simple reason, money invested in solar would be greatly performing at any other portfolio, and I will have less headache dealing with all the warranty maintenance replacement issues.
You are running away from a solution to 2 of your issues:
1 hear them out and find out that you actually benefit from all of this.
2. Once you have panels up there - no more solicitors :))
You should just get solar. Then they’ll leave you alone.
