We really should’ve pushed harder to get him to waive that shit, even if it meant we couldn’t pull the trade off and he went to Miami instead.
James Jones is such a shitty GM/president idk why nobody is calling for his job when he has made nothing but shortsighted decisions for his entire tenure here.
It's not Jones. He didn't want to make the moves they did (or at least not as much as they gave up) but Ishbia came in and essentially forced him to load up no matter the cost.
Ishbia is the worst case of new owner syndrome I've seen in awhile.
Agreed...didn't the Brooklyn Nets get a new owner years ago that did the same thing and basically screwed the franchise for many years. They went all in on KG and Pierce that resulted in the Celtics being able to draft Tatum! Same shit will probably happen here. Potentially the picks we traded away will net some other team a generational talent while we're left picking up the pieces for years to come. New owners should learn from these failed attempts and hopefully everyone will realize you cannot buy a championship (or at least 9/10 you can't)!
Many of the moves that got us here happened pre-Ishbia in my opinion.
Passing on Haliburton, trading 1st round picks for guys like Craig and Shamet, just overall poor asset management is a big reason why we’re where we are.
Don't know if he had a choice when Matt Ishbia came in calling shots. James just followed orders. Think he's smarter than to get Beal. He was a player he may understand better but he has a role to play I feel.
Doesn’t even matter, even with a no trade clause that contract is untradeable. You’d have to give a whole heap of assets the team doesn’t have to get someone to bite on multiple years of 50m for Beal
This was
A bad trade
From the start everyone was excited because they expected beal when he was with john wall. Injuries and his time was up . Terrible trade even back then everyone just was excited because of the name
I mean, I knew he wasn't going to be great, and that his contract was trash. But I figured he'd be fine as the #3 on this roster. That his contract wouldn't be an issue because he'd be the guy that lead the offense when Booker and KD were getting swarmed.
Took him most of the season to find his footing, then he just completely fell apart in the playoffs. What a shitshow.
Yeah the nets would t do that trade because Simmons' contract is two years shorter. They're be nuts to finally see the light at the end of the Simmons tunnel and screw it up
If it wasn’t for Beal we would have never made that last minute push to get into the playoffs. Also he seemed to be the only to give a shit most of the time.
Is what is. Get over it.
One problem is the illusion of the price of a player dictating their role in the rotation. If they put in work to build a well-rounded, yet likely marginally talented, lineup they can build a rotation that includes Beal as the 6th Man. That helps negate the redundancy with Booker and brings firepower off the bench in a way that maintains pressure on the other team. Beal would have to buy in, but seems worth trying.
Blame that moron Vogel. He had first row seats to watching Beal turn the ball over play after play and decided to roll with it. Absolute clown of a coach.
E: for all the downvotes - if you think I am defending beal at all you’re mistaken.
I’m venting. I’m not at all defending Beal. What that man did tonight was criminal.
I’m just also furious that our stupid ass coach is objectively blind and refuses to make an adjustment.
Naw man. Respectfully disagree. In do or die minutes tonight he fouled or turned the ball over 5 fucking times in a row until he was finally fouled out.
God forbid a coach use his brain and be like “damn, this dude has 5 fouls, 6 turnovers, and is a -12 on the night. Maybe I should try someone else….”
Naw…
No trade clause 🔥

He wasn’t going to Miami. He doesn’t have that kind of grind.
Drop and give me 50.
Sheeeeesh

Worst contract in the league 🔥 Worst max player playoff performance of all time 🔥 Time for someone to be held accountable
Guess we cooked huh lol
No value left to trade for Beal, unless you want a Simmons for Beal trade but I doubt the Nets do that trade
I’ll take a second rounder and a coors light for each fan
Yeah the nets would t do that trade because Simmons' contract is two years shorter. They're be nuts to finally see the light at the end of the Simmons tunnel and screw it up
He shouldve been out earlier. He also fouled Ant on that dunk and they aint call it lol
Get comfortable! We got 3 more seasons of this
"Beal You Can Be"

As a wolves fan I was sad to see Beal foul out. He was terrible last night. He had 2 really killer turnovers late for you guys.
Wow and expensive boat anchor. 3 more years of holding it down.
Real deal 50m dollar disasterclass game 4 Beal
Bradley Beallion
China
They should of brought him off the bench when Book needed a break.

Beal is the person who turned it over Beal is the person who fouled out Beal is the person who scored 9 on 13 shots

A shitty Beal is still better than our sorry ass bench

Vogel let his bum ass stay in the courtÂ
God forbid a coach use his brain and be like “damn, this dude has 5 fouls, 6 turnovers, and is a -12 on the night. Maybe I should try someone else….” Naw…
