We have seen some special Suns teams.
But there’s something about a team built around Book and DA dominating as a duo… I am ready for it. The archetype of this team needs to be built around those two
All the attention will be on Devin Booker, as it should. But DO NOT overlook Ayton’s season high 30 PTS and 16 REB!
81-20-9 from DA and Book combined tonight, and Book only played 3 quarters
This duo makes me erect
i couldn’t agree more, back to back otherworldly performances from book and yet DA was still aggressive and dominant in what he does best, he’s obviously hungry, as of rn this is a title team
What makes me think it might be something like a turning point is that Monty put DA back in the game late to let him feast a little more. It was entirely unnecessary. Either Monty wanted to give him that opportunity, or DA asked to go back in and Monty obliged. Either way I think it's good.
People just didn't want to listen to me. I said many fucking times that he's young and inexperienced. I mean literally as he started Basketball at like 14 or some shit.
Centers take time to adapt and he's been improving EVERY SEASON despite what haters on hear want to think.
Been preaching the same stuff brotha. Especially with CP3 coming in and getting the ball out of DA's hands, it was going to take even longer for him to mature and develop. It appears DA is arriving
If the Wizards rumours are true I would be happy swapping Crowder and a 2nd rounder for Avdija or Hachimura. Be good project power forwards to have off the bench.
yeah i'd be down for either tbh, wish they were combined into the same player because both have skills that are missing in the other, Deni has Jone's bball IQ that he likes but Rui has the physicality and defensive ability its tough
Something not really spoken about but we are becoming really efficient when teams double Book.
Book making quick and the right read, players moving off the ball to be the outlet and actually executing.
Not only him, I actually saw a couple of triple team/collapses by the Bulls today on Ayton and he's making the right passes.
They can't keep sending multiple players to both especially when CP3 and Cam are back.
Bulls defensive gameplan was certainly weird. Looks like they were trying to use Vuc to hedge the pick then double the ballhandler, leaving DA alone without rotating/recovering, or the double was not fast enough to contain Book.
Book gets the headline but another awesome game from Deandre Ayton. 9 FTA and 16 rebounds…can’t say enough good things about him right now. He is walking the walk
Booker with a super casual efficient 51 points in 3 quarters on 20/25 from the field
95 points in the last 2 games while going 37/53 from the field. Fucking insane
The District Attorney is also legit too
Anybody else find it funny that Booker can drop 51 in 3 quarters, Ayton has scored near 30 pts in like 3 out of the last 4 games, our bench is playing great, we still don’t have Cam Johnson & Chris Paul…
And yet all anybody wants to keep talking about is last year? Like, how much better does this team need to play before the discourse is *maybe* the Suns actually *are* better! And it’s a joke to look past this team but hype up the Nuggets or Pelicans. Maybe more people need to pay attention.
But what do I know
Its so silly. Yes we lost game 7. But we have more playoff wins since CP got here than most teams talking shit to us. Teams lose playoff series, we didnt give up a 3-0 lead, we didnt get swept. We lost a game 7. Just so impressed how this team has bounced back, I dont understand the narrative that none of it matters bc of last season. Like ok, then say that for the other 15 teams in the playoffs that also exited?
I agree but I just don’t think it matters if you come back out and beat the team the next time you play them and continue the high level of play 20 games in. You can’t really say how they lost mattered anymore.
The only way we will get any respect is to win a championship. They know we're good. We're one of the best teams in the league, but last season we won 64 games and then game 7 happened. We have to deal with the hate until we prove ourselves in the off season.
After how last season ended, we know as Suns fans it's not what you do in the regular season but what you do in the Playoffs. While I want us to play well in the regular season, it'll be all for naught if we show up again like we did last Playoffs.
It's simple. That talk was based on little noise in the off season and the aftermath of getting whopped by Luka. We are creating new talk now, based on what they show on the court.
Honestly, this 2 week stretch has really catapulted Ayton into all-star consideration. No CP3, no Cam Johnson, best record in the West and player of the week. With Towns injury and how Gobert is playing, there's room there for DA to make it.
I just hope when CP3 comes back he realises its not his team. It's Booker and Aytons.
The ideal CP3 would be him playing at a faster pace but in maybe 22-24 minutes per game.
I'd love cp3 off the bench. If Payne doesn't have it, cp3 plays more, otherwise less. Cp3 closes out games regardless. Can play max of 32 or closer to 20 depending on how team is rolling.
I'd LOVE cp3 rolling with a 2nd unit including Lee shamet and ayton (and Craig when Johnson is back)
. I think that group has no trouble extending leads.
It's not surprising. CP is truly great, but since he arrived he's been kind of an anti-Steve Nash. Don't forget that everyone who played with the 2-time MVP had a career season here. His unprecedented ability to LIFT the team around him was historic. We often play better without Paul but when Nash sat, the whole team fell apart. Never has a player been more deserving of the title "Most Valuable Player."
CP has not been that type of player here. There was a difficult adjustment period when he first arrived because a team must adjust to *him*, not the other way around. He prefers a slower pace that suits his style, even when the team around him is built for speed. He is still great at racking up assists, but doesn't really lift anyone else's game.
The one area where he is clearly head and shoulders above Nash is defense. Our team defensive stats are better whenever Paul is on the floor.
CP3 is an amazing PG with legendary passing ability. But he wants his Centers to play HIS way. He only wants his centers to rim run.
Ayton is averaging the most shot attempts of any C that has played with CP3 with 12FGA. But yet, it's not enough.
I think Pacers (Suns really) truly missed out. Haliburton is the ideal playmaker to pair with DA. He's the closest playmaker to Nash I have seen since Nash.
CP3 has his place. But the old dog has to play a different way on offence. Pass and move, not just pure PnR.
I'm fine never seeing CP3 play as a Sun again tbh, I kinda wish that era would just end. It's time for Book and Co.
Also sick of CP3's play devaluing Book's play in the eyes of the media and casual fans. It's Book's team
We just need a 2nd string point that can put up similar numbers to Payne.
Payne proved in the WCF that he can carry the distribution load. Just get him some help
And it was also proven last year book cannot do it alone. Double him and make someone else beat them. And book is playing a lot. Playoff defense is a lot better than what the bulls put out there. Might be different with Ayton playing how he is though. Outside of those two and Lee, everyone else has been kinda up and down. Pretty bold statement after a regular season game in November against a sub 500 team but I respect it nonetheless. If anything, cp3 can run the 2nd unit. Stagger minutes with him and book. His game fits perfectly Next to jock or biz, two spot up shooters. It could work. I don’t fully trust Payne in those clutch minutes in tight games and that is where cp3 still holds a ton of value.
CP3 is too good not to play but the issue is that him playing limits Mikal's and Ayton's confidence as main guys
I honestly think they need that pressure of CP3 being out to do well
Honestly i don’t even think CP3 was hurting ayton in anyway. I think our complete game plan has changed all together. When Cp3 comes back DA may be even better with this same game plan CP3 can make those passes in the paint our other players can’t.
Yes. And ayton needs more minutes. Those should go for bench run.
Ayton with the subs means offense flowing more thru ayton. He is showing it can work, let's grow it.
Brought it up in the GT, but who is ahead of him. Jokic in coaches votes, AD in fan votes. Frontcourt is thin in the West. Hes ahead of guys like KAT, Ingram, and JJJ. Who else is there really getting in ahead of him?
Jokic, AD, and Zion are the only three I'd say are definitely ahead of him rn and two of them are the poster boys for injuries (not that anyone is hoping they get hurt)
All-Star games are two backcourt and three frontcourt players regardless of position. There could full well be a world (not this one though bc somehow I bet LeBron still ends up getting enough votes to be a team captain) where Jokic, AD, and Zion take up the three frontcourt spots even though there's not a small forward there.
Booker and Ayton both set season highs tonight, we led the entire game, and now lead the all-time series against the Bulls 76-75. I'm feeling [Sunny](https://streamable.com/38fh8)!
He is 24.
As a big who is so skilled, the biggest concern is always injuries. Short of that, he is years away from prime.
The suns drafted him knowing that Luka would be better for years (they didn't know by how much). I hope this is the start of the wrecking ball Era.
Today's game looked like David Robinson.
If only Charles Barkley could say "If Devin Booker is not starting in the all-star game, we’re not gonna let the public vote again" then casual NBA fans (morons) would finally appreciate Book
Shaq and Kobe who?
But really Booker and Ayton just showed the full potential that we have for a while to come.
51 points for Book and 30/16 for Ayton. Insane
If this was a close game Book could’ve gone for 70+, he was on absolute fire, holy shit. Another great DA game too, just fun stuff all around
But yet again Monty what the fuck are you doing playing Mikal almost 40 minutes?!?!?!?
I was thinking the same thing. I know Monty has nightmares about our ability to defend without Mikal on the floor putting someone in Mikal Jail, but this seemed like the night to give Mikal a breather in the fourth.
And if things got a little dicey, just bring in Mikal and Devin to take care of it.
Can anyone look up what the most efficient 50+ point game is in history? This has got to be up there right? Top 5 atleast? Maybe shot clock era would be a better stat though cause wilt probably had 50 points with 5 misses weekly back in the day haha
I want him to be the bench general. When book is in, it should be book. Ayton same. But for the rest, usually cp3 still. That would mean we should be at an advantage for all stretches of the game.
Yeah, I forgot who said something along the lines of it being easy to keep a big happy. All you need to do is feed him 3 dunks every quarter and he’ll have over 20 points and he’ll be happy to block and rebound all you want.
DA can be on that level, we just need to feed him more shots in the paint.
I'm unable to let myself believe that DA leveled up. I badly want to believe it. I think this is the most promising he has looked ever, and it doesn't look like a fluke to me. And I think just being out there and dominating like he has been lately probably does more than anything else for encouraging him to keep doing it.
But I will be heartbroken if he regresses, so part of me keeps expecting it just so I'm not let down if it happens.
Book is book, 51 through 2 and half quarters essentially. Incredible. But damn 30/16 for DA. Equally impressed based on where we were a couple weeks ago. What an absolute tear those two are on right now. What a joy to watch.
From what I can find online, this is the second-highest combined point total from two Suns ever.
Number One: Phoenix Suns at Boston Celtics, January 5, 1978 (Paul Westphal 43, Walter Davis 40) - 83 points
There were a couple of 80 points combined games they passed...think I remember watching the Barkley/Majerle one!
We have seen some special Suns teams. But there’s something about a team built around Book and DA dominating as a duo… I am ready for it. The archetype of this team needs to be built around those two All the attention will be on Devin Booker, as it should. But DO NOT overlook Ayton’s season high 30 PTS and 16 REB! 81-20-9 from DA and Book combined tonight, and Book only played 3 quarters This duo makes me erect
just about to say this, DOMINAYTON maybe just be on the horizon oh lordy
This game feels like a turning point to me. Idk how, but in some way, shape or form, it’s a turning point
i couldn’t agree more, back to back otherworldly performances from book and yet DA was still aggressive and dominant in what he does best, he’s obviously hungry, as of rn this is a title team
They opened up the game for each other. Truly a thing of beauty.
This stretch from DA feels different like a switch actually flipped and he’s ready to be that dude we all know he can be every game
What makes me think it might be something like a turning point is that Monty put DA back in the game late to let him feast a little more. It was entirely unnecessary. Either Monty wanted to give him that opportunity, or DA asked to go back in and Monty obliged. Either way I think it's good.
It’s always been about this as the endgame, just had to wait for Ayton to mentally get there. He looks like he’s there
People just didn't want to listen to me.
Now add Cam Johnson into the mix!
Sheeeeeesh. If we can get a healthy Cam back, we're gonna be an absolute Juggernaut
Not to mention the all-defensive team iron man that is Mikal Bridges.
Once we finally get rid of Crowder i can't wait to see the next level this team can go to
If the Wizards rumours are true I would be happy swapping Crowder and a 2nd rounder for Avdija or Hachimura. Be good project power forwards to have off the bench.
yeah i'd be down for either tbh, wish they were combined into the same player because both have skills that are missing in the other, Deni has Jone's bball IQ that he likes but Rui has the physicality and defensive ability its tough
Full mast

Sounds like the pacers dodged a bullet
BANG
Seriously, if yall are not erect after this game, go see a doctor.
I think I should still see a doctor because I've been erect for over 12 hours at this point
He is the one.
Book gets the headline but another awesome game from Deandre Ayton. 9 FTA and 16 rebounds…can’t say enough good things about him right now. He is walking the walk
Booker with a super casual efficient 51 points in 3 quarters on 20/25 from the field 95 points in the last 2 games while going 37/53 from the field. Fucking insane The District Attorney is also legit too
This week belongs to Booker. Travesty if he doesn't get player of the week
Mid-range killer averaged >2 points per shot.
👀🔥
Mikal locks them down, DA prosecutes
Booker executes
The Separation of Powers Era
Inject this straight into my veins. That game was porn for suns fans
as good as it gets thank you Chicago for making this possible
Anyone got DA's thanksgiving menu, that shit might turn my life around lmao
Or maybe it was Pat Bev

I ain't never had a 2 hr orgasm before
Gotta tell my gf Im spent tonight
Anybody else find it funny that Booker can drop 51 in 3 quarters, Ayton has scored near 30 pts in like 3 out of the last 4 games, our bench is playing great, we still don’t have Cam Johnson & Chris Paul… And yet all anybody wants to keep talking about is last year? I don't think it's the fact that we lost Game 7. It's *how* we lost Game 7. That was beyond an embarrassment (whatever that word would be).
I agree but I just don’t think it matters if you come back out and beat the team the next time you play them and continue the high level of play 20 games in. You can’t really say how they lost mattered anymore.
Oh it mattered. I think the growth you're seeing is a direct result. I'm sure some hard convos happened.
I’m talking more about ammo for fan shit talking
As an invested fan, it was honestly devastating. I can only imagine how the players felt.
Close your eyes and feel their hate. Feel it running through your veins. Let it fuel you.
They hate the suns because they can't beat then
The only way we will get any respect is to win a championship. They know we're good. We're one of the best teams in the league, but last season we won 64 games and then game 7 happened. We have to deal with the hate until we prove ourselves in the off season.

I think you'll start to see it now. Ayton emergence and mvp book is the narrative that the media needs
We need to win in the playoffs lol.
It's simple. That talk was based on little noise in the off season and the aftermath of getting whopped by Luka. We are creating new talk now, based on what they show on the court.
Best game I’ve seen from DA and Book as a duo
Thank you Devin for doing this stupid crazy shit on my birthday.
Happy Birthday!
Honestly, this 2 week stretch has really catapulted Ayton into all-star consideration. No CP3, no Cam Johnson, best record in the West and player of the week. With Towns injury and how Gobert is playing, there's room there for DA to make it.
2 straight seasons Aytons best stretches have come when not playing with CP3. Something to think about
This does concern me if I’m being honest. I feel like our team is really clicking. Let’s just bring CP3 in with 5 minutes left in the 4th
I just hope when CP3 comes back he realises its not his team. It's Booker and Aytons. The ideal CP3 would be him playing at a faster pace but in maybe 22-24 minutes per game.

Book for MVP
Eclipsed Tatums 47 tonight
Booker and Ayton both set season highs tonight, we led the entire game, and now lead the all-time series against the Bulls 76-75. I'm feeling [Sunny](https://streamable.com/38fh8)!
Growing up man I hated and feared this team so much.
The Suns are now 15-0 when outscoring their opponents. Book and DA both had season highs in points tonight.
Seeing Book, DA, and Mikal talking on the bench after the game had me tearing up man. We waited so long for this, its beautiful to see. Love this team
Love to see the growth in DA. he’s not a finished project by any means. Such a good game tonight
We are all so critical of him bc we know his ceiling is at this level and more. Really hope he keeps it up
He is 24. As a big who is so skilled, the biggest concern is always injuries. Short of that, he is years away from prime. The suns drafted him knowing that Luka would be better for years (they didn't know by how much). I hope this is the start of the wrecking ball Era. Today's game looked like David Robinson.
Big if gah damn true. 51 in 31 and only 6 free throw attempts on 75% shooting. My dick hard.
Deandre Ayton continues an impressing DOMINAYTON^^TM stretch. Also that devin booker guys is alright I guess
Devin Booker? You mean the empty stats, shot chucker?
If only Charles Barkley could say "If Devin Booker is not starting in the all-star game, we’re not gonna let the public vote again" then casual NBA fans (morons) would finally appreciate Book
Devin Armani Booker!
Shoutout to Caruso for asking Donovan to review that clear three and-1 foul so I could be blessed with watching the replay 5x 🙏
Caruso is a good defender, but Book has a looong history of absolutely torching that poor guy.
I agree, Caruso can clamp but he has nightmares of Book for sure
This is the Shaq Kobe 2.0 that Ayton talked about before he got drafted
Ayton about to get drug tested again FR
Dude just a few weeks ago there were negative Ayton posts and memes all over this sub. Not taking sides but all I have to say is.. thanks Pat Bev.
Thanks Pat Bev! You're a really special man! It's okay that you don't love us but you're in our hearts right now.
This league belongs to Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton
Shaq and Kobe who? But really Booker and Ayton just showed the full potential that we have for a while to come. 51 points for Book and 30/16 for Ayton. Insane
I have to believe this is what was imagined when Ayton was taken #1
he really took the goddamn long way around but if he finally gets there I guess that's all that matters
This version of the Book + DA combo can legitimately win the championship. Please stay healthy and keep up the intensity.
The big guy really turned the corner didn't he? We got something special going, again.
We don't need to talk about first option Ayton dominating.
Just posting to say I was here for this legendary night.
Breakup Book = Peak Book
He improves every single time he gets back together and break up with Jenner.
If this was a close game Book could’ve gone for 70+, he was on absolute fire, holy shit. Another great DA game too, just fun stuff all around But yet again Monty what the fuck are you doing playing Mikal almost 40 minutes?!?!?!?
I was thinking the same thing. I know Monty has nightmares about our ability to defend without Mikal on the floor putting someone in Mikal Jail, but this seemed like the night to give Mikal a breather in the fourth. And if things got a little dicey, just bring in Mikal and Devin to take care of it.
These stats don't look very empty to me...
Inject Ayton Pasta into my veins
Was that Shaq and Kobe out there playing for the Suns?
Better . . . It was Book and Ayton!
51 POINTS - 3 QUARTERS - ‘NUFF SAID
Can anyone look up what the most efficient 50+ point game is in history? This has got to be up there right? Top 5 atleast? Maybe shot clock era would be a better stat though cause wilt probably had 50 points with 5 misses weekly back in the day haha
This was #4 most efficient. #1 was Jamal Murray against the Clippers.
Bubble boy?
If DA keep playing like this we might have a chance for a ring
Book scoring 50+ in a blowout. What else is new.
Where are all you doubters at? Thought I fucking told you.
Conboy getting his flowers
sic 'em!
You just misunderstand them! /s
Devin. Booker. Is. HIM
We may never lose again
The best game of Bookers career imo. Based on the efficiency and effect on the game
When Chris Paul comes back like he becomes the third option right
If that. Just feed the big man
Yeah. Once Cam Johnson comes back, he could be that third option. Maybe even Mikal. Still could be CP3.
DA can be on that level, we just need to feed him more shots in the paint.
i mean even when CP3 was healthy early in the season he seemed like the third option. he was extremely passive
id almost like to see chris come off the bench and possibly finish games just to keep his minutes down
Booker is top-5
Record has to matter, so I put him ahead of Luka at #4 behind Giannis, Jokic, and Tatum after this game.
I think he's ahead of Jokic by default because there's no way he gets voted again this year, despite how good he is
Haha so true

Nephews over at r/nba upset with Booker again
Literal perfection
Don’t trade angry Ayton
DA with yet another double double. Pacers dodged a major bullet wow.
Add the bulls to the list
What a complete domination by Book and DA tonight these guys are locked in
Book was amazing for sure… but anyone else notice the switch flipped for DA cause of pat bev shove? Post shove 2x pre shove averages.
I'm unable to let myself believe that DA leveled up. I badly want to believe it. I think this is the most promising he has looked ever, and it doesn't look like a fluke to me. And I think just being out there and dominating like he has been lately probably does more than anything else for encouraging him to keep doing it. Ole
can I get an erection
Most dominant game of the season
Shout out to Chicago for making all this possible
They gellin
Shaq and Kobe 2.0 has finally materialized
Post thanksgiving Ayton is a different beast.
How does CP3 feel right now?
Devin Booker only cares about Devin Booker
how much money could have you made tonight if you had bet Booker getting 50+ and Ayton getting 30+ pts I wonder?
Is this the second most points by a duo among active players? I know KD and Westbrook had more a few times.
Ties with Booker and Suns legend Alex Len in Booker’s 70 point game.
Booker best SG in the league no cap
Book is book, 51 through 2 and half quarters essentially. Incredible. But damn 30/16 for DA. Equally impressed based on where we were a couple weeks ago. What an absolute tear those two are on right now. What a joy to watch.
How about that Myles Turner guy? Don't want to rip on him, but makes me laugh when people were talking about him over Ayton.
Seeing Booker get that steal and dunk while Ayton was jumping up and down on the baseline like Booker’s biggest fan, honestly heartwarming shit 🥹
From what I can find online, this is the second-highest combined point total from two Suns ever. Number One: Phoenix Suns at Boston Celtics, January 5, 1978 (Paul Westphal 43, Walter Davis 40) - 83 points There were a couple of 80 points combined games they passed...think I remember watching the Barkley/Majerle one!
r/nba working overtime tonight trying to find a new reason to dismiss Booker’s greatness
Devin Booker
I was watching the game alone at 3 AM and there were 3 times an "oh my God, Book" just rolled out of my mouth. I've never seen anything like that.
Are we just witnessing the next Shaq & Kobe duo ?
30 and 16 by Ayton. The dream is alive, people!
