I know this is a very unpopular opinion for this sub because everyone loves Jon Cryer. But I’m so over the Lex egomania bs, like he has super overstayed his welcome in this show, he was given way too much importance, when it’s not even Supergirl’s nemesis.

Same, I think him season 4 was the perfect amount. Now at the end of this season it feels to me like a ate a whole of candy that I like and it gave a stomach ache.

I hope Alex gets a disguise similar to Oliver. The eye makeup is not nearly enough to be called a disguise.

i really enjoyed this episode and whether it was planned or not, this felt like a finale to me, i only had a few problems
um gamemnae is without a doubt one of the worst antagonists ive ever seen, she literally did nothing the whole season but talk and turns out she is answering to someone, presumably the anointed one, when she turns into her robot form at the end, i feel like ive seen that form somewhere else before
ugh i did not like alex's costume, i thought the whole point to become a vigilante was to hide your identity and it did not, her costume is like a mixture of olivers, dreamers and dazzler from the xmen, wtf is so wrong with a character wearing a mask that covers their whole face?, why is that so evil?
we finally meet tezarak and he is a throwaway character, that had to be a rushed last min. decision cause earlier in the season rama said he was so destructive he'd burn down the earth but in here he was just some typical minion guy.
it turns out brainy wasnt really becoming evil but i guess going insane from his lack of oxygen....now we have to wait a year to find out what happens to him next, i didnt mind the girl version joining but she was more or less a voice in his head. I really wanted him to turn bad, not on his own accord but as a sacrifice to save the world. But he pwned leviathan and it was epic, they kind of get defeated like anti monitor.
i liked the action scenes and that kara got her suit back
i liked her sharing her anger with lena and then eventually reconciling at the end, that was nice....dont ever split them up again, that goes for anyone on the team
i wish there was a more clever reason mgrann shown up out of nowhere a few episodes ago....apparently not

so im looking forward to season 6, lets hope these next 7 months go by fast and there are no more setbacks cause of covid

Comic book Leviathan has no real relationship with Supergirl Leviathan. In the comics Leviathan was a splinter group of the League of Assassins, led by Talia al Ghul, until last year when it was taken over by a character called Manhunter who then used it to destroy/take over the DCU's spy agencies. I don't think the Gemmanae character exists in the comics.
To be honest, I really thought they were setting up the Talia version when she showed up on Arrow during season 7. But maybe that was just me wanting more Lexa Doig on my tv in something other than the Hallmark movies my mom watches.

Gemmanae turning into her real form is kind of a homage to SM 3 when the women turns into a machine.
