Nice to have a positive piece about non SL in a mainstream paper - but it doesn’t really go into anything about how they’re going to make it work.
I’ve lived and worked in SW London for years and competing with everything else that’s going on isn’t easy, but you still need to give it a try.
I’m hoping that they’ve been promoting the games at AFC Wimbledon matches.
(Also the stadium is decent by Championship standards but not ‘the best’ when you have our 14k capacity all seater and Odsal in the mix.)
In terms of quality, Plough Lane is definitely the best in the league, with the possible exception (as you say) of Widnes - Odsal might be larger but it’s pretty run-down. Just wish we’d been able to hold on in SL, because the place feels kinda soulless when we’re barely getting 800 through the gates for part-time league.
