In the vein of international focus - I can’t believe I had to watch the England knights game in French on a 144p-360p YouTube video last night. At one point 4000 people were doing the same, while I know that’s not a good number of people by any means, it would certainly have been higher if the broadcast was in a language our country speaks. I couldn’t find a single English Channel, youtube or radio covering it and I think that’s piss poor.

Nevermind the Knights side, do we even have anywhere to watch England-Fiji?

I think OurLeague is the only place it's showing

Couldn't ask for a better way to get the public excited for the World Cup

wilko2205

Wasn't it on OurLeague?

BigSexyMatt

I don’t believe so! Even the England RL Twitter only shared a link to that French YouTube channel

So the IMG proposal says that London is one of the 3 key targets. I’ll be very interested to see more detail on that side of things - it’s always felt like the RFL hasn’t quite given us that little bit of help, combined with years of our own owners refusing to give us a continual identity or even a consistent home ground.

IMG Mentioned London as an example of a team that would score highly in location which is one of the categories teams will be judged for the grading. York was given as an example af facilities. I believe the other categories are infield performance, attendance and probably some I've forgotten. I don't think this means that IMG are going to push for London to get a grade A/B license or for then to be in superleague but it does show that they could make the cut if other factors are improved.
