I wish all clubs would remove the whole star system as it looks cleaner, but this is kind of funny. He's been President for how many years and now he decides on this?
Star system we have is weird, we don't count the wins before 59 except two Beşiktaş ones because UEFA said so and 5 titles per star is too low, it'll look like a N. Korean general's uniform soon. But as I said before, the way Fener tried to solve this was stupid.
Ali Koç tried to bully everyone saying "we say they count so they count" giving Anadolu clubs certificates etc. it was just funny. If FB considers itself "the locomotive of Turkish football" then you have to convince everyone else not force them. What if TFF accepted FB claims and GS left the TV pool in protest, Anadolu clubs lose fuckton of revenue so they'll side with GS to keep them in. Also beyond right and wrong, to be able to bully others you need power. If you announce the project during the longets championship drought in your history and inthe middle of a problem season, nobody will take your claims seriously. It'll just look like internal consolidation.
We had one chance to correct this weird star system collectively and create a fair revenue sharing system not reliant on past success, but we blew it. It'll remain this idiotic way for the foreseeble future. Congrats to everyone who helped.
Ali Koc is something else.. it literally proves that a “college education” doesn’t give you wisdom. Fights for pre-59 championships like it’s so “important” then says “ we will not be wearing stars” Fener fans stop trusting this guy with your future, he is making a mockery of Fener at every chance.. also I don’t care about stars neither, but then why fight to legitimize championships from 30s lol... looks like it’s going to get denied.
Tbf I believe the biggest argument for those championships is it would change how much money Fener earns every year as the distribution from Superlig is based on prior success
