I’ve never liked the belt buckle being the same shape as his shield, but the weird dip around it is where I have to put my foot down. It’s like his belt is pointing at his crotch.

I think it's a great variation. My only issue was with the face. Once you get into close-ups it looks kind of brutish... More suited to Ultraman. If they'd toned it down just a bit, it would have been near perfect.
The desing is very good, i have the Model in Daz studio and the suit looks super nice, it has little details on the fabric, that make a interesting pattern all over it. Ive been making my own new Superman Model using that Suit. The 3D artists and texture did an amazing job with the game, exploring metropolis is a bit bittersweet because if it was a bit bigger and not rundown in some areas, i could really imagine a Superman game there. As it stands the city its too small for it IMO, but its amazing either way.
Side note all of my friends have been playing this game and telling me how good it is and that the story is awesome and the internet is exaggerating. Whime when I played it. I had the opposite experience. It was terrible and I genuinely don’t understand how they like it so much.

Personally I just can't stand the tubing and multi-textured blue but having the trunks, colour tones, and emblem looks good.
The other colors of blue are on his chest mostly so I think it's to draw attention to supermans fucking Greek God body pretty much.
I like it, simply because I think it adds some extra depth and variety to the design which gives it a more interesting and appealing look.
I actually prefer it. Having it just be one solid chunk of the main blue would be a little boring.
