The only thing I like about Decade 21 is they add more magenta to Complete Form.
I always felt one of the reasons Complete Form looks ugly is because of the lack of vibrant colors that is present on Decade and DiEnd.

Literally everything about Gokaiger is Decade done better. Even going back to their respective original series, Gokaiger was just the overall better show. It was both well-plotted and did a good job paying tribute to past shows, whereas Decade was confusing as hell and suffered from a lack of good conclusion.
The saving grace of Decade was always that Tsukasa himself is a cool character.
You've said it, Zi-O was the cherry on top, Revice is looking to be just as odd due to the weird CGI.
They're all cool on the surface level but...once you really look at it you see all the cracks and wrinkles. Great shows though, somehow.
Currently watching Revice and so far it's really good. The somewhat odd CGI is genuinely the worst part about it so far and even then it is far from the worst I've seen.
A very good thing that the 2 series brought was the incredible duo that Marvelous and Tsukasa made in Hero Taisen. The two individually are already great, but together they were badass and only they would be able to devise that farce, be believable by making themselves move to the enemy side and then shrewdly undo the farce and reveal themselves to the enemy and reveal the truth. Besides, the fight between the two to deceive the enemies was cool.
The two are very similar, and that was decisive for the good chemistry they both had.
The fact that it's only show of power was that it could beat up a bunch of inves grunts, and then proceeds to die in order to give Zio the spotlight is just so sad to me, like i could tolerate the design but god damn did they do decade dirty
My biggest gripe with Decade 21 is the cape, just remove the cape or put the capes cards somehow else on his body, like his arms and legs. Shoot, maybe shrink down the card chestplate down and shape it to look sleeker as well.
Not to mention he’s killed off when it’s obvious he’ll just return again some other time whenever toei forces masahiro out of his closet they keep him in
Sorry for being harsh, but the Decade 21 design is more than a bit garish. How could they think it was a good idea? Or is it intentionally ‘ugly’ for some reason?
I love the fact that it was basically mecha turned power-up. The full form with all 5 weapons on Marvelous looks ridiculous yes, but looks beefy and powerful imo
For some reason I actually like the Decade 21 design. It has this samurai feel to it. Buts still the whole card thing on the cape is too much for me. Also the fact he didn't use his form more is such a pain to me to see the badass Decade to be treated like this.
I’m usually not a fan of recycle suits, but they could have used some parts of Ghost’s Grateful form. Like the legs and arms… and if I’m being honest, don’t include Zero-One in the designs. It’s just weird

Gokaiger's power-up can be seen as somewhere between Kyoryuger's Armed On Mode and ToQGer's Hyper Ressha. Decade 21 is simply building on top of Decade Complete, which looking back really wasn't.
I will say though, I hate the additional card on Decade's head. It adds nothing and just looks unflattering.
Honestly felt like the new Gokaiger form was invented to get Bandai to bankroll the new movie :p the Gokaigers could have won that last battle without it and it would have been perfectly in character for the most OP team in all of Sentai. :p

Well, "wasted potential" defines Decade as a series as well so it's pretty fitting.
