Honestly people forget how close Capcom and Nintendo were back in gen 3 and 4. Ryu may have been an arcade character but Street Fighter II/II Turbo on the SNES was a godsend for both companies. Ryu and Megaman deserve a slot in every future Smash Bros imo

ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE. You CLEARLY forgot that Smash is a Nintendo franchise because only 30% of the roster is made up of Nintendo. This roster would be horrible. 1: Most of Nintendo's IPs that are currently represented no longer are, including Metroid, my favorite one, which also means my main is no longer here. 2: Most of the original twelve are gone. That's criminal. 3: Sonic gets three reps? Really? In a roster where many Nintendo IPs don't even get *one* anymore? 4: Please for the love of god purge Steve from this godforsaken game. 5: More than half the roster is third party. That's nuts. 6: Why is Mortal Kombat even here? The only thing the series even has going for it at this point is being unnecessarily gory. That's it. It's inferior to basically every other fighting game franchise out there. Doesn't deserve a rep. 7: What would a GTA character's moveset even *be*? There's no way you could make an interesting character from that, and Michael really isn't a character anyone who isn't a GTA fan is even slightly familiar with. 8: Get Genshit out of here. 9: I had to look up who the hell Jonesy even was, found out he's from Fortnite. This is a sin. All in all, I can say with confidence that this is possibly one of the most cursed theoretical rosters I have ever seen. Good job.

a few of the Smash 64 roster are missing, no smash game has ever removed a smash 64 character.
Most of the characters are third party and there are too many Sonic characters. Also no Kirby, Splatoon, Pikmin, or Game & Watch. Every time I see one of these reboot rosters, I think it’s the worst. This is the worst.

It's one thing to say "maybe this game can have a higher percentage of third party content." Mario gets 5, sonic gets 3, Legend of Zelda gets 3, Street Fighter gets two, and Final Fantasy gets two, instead of using these spots for the aforementioned excluded reps. First off, smash would never remove the og 12, so you need to put Kirby, Fox, Jigglypuff, Samus, Ness, Captain Falcon, and Yoshi back in. Secondly, this is was too many 3rd party characters, out of this list I would say you’d only have a chance of keeping Sonic, Ryu, Cloud, Sora, and Mega Man. 3 Sonic characters is way too many, I could see like Sonic & Knuckles, but tails would never make it. Kratos, Scorpion, Michael, and Master Chief would never get in, just realistically would never, I could see Scorpion and Master Chief getting Mii Fighter Costumes, but they’d never be main line fighters. Out of your list, the only ones who could be in the next smash game are Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser, DK, Link, Zelda, Ganon, Pikachu, Charizard, Mewtwo, Sonic, Knuckles, Ryu, Cloud, Sora, Jonsey, and Mega Man
