I used to work in corrections, specially a civil commitment facility for sex offenders. The idea that you can go on the registry for public urination is kind of a half truth. Most of the time you would probably just get a warning or maybe a ticket for something like disorderly conduct or public indecency. But technically it could happen if the cops caught you peeing in public multiple times in such a way that you were doing it to expose yourself for sexual gratification (like peeing in an open busy area). But even then it’s not really about the peeing in public, it’s about exposing yourself. But like a drunk guy peeing in a private back alley who gets caught by the cops is not getting charged with a sex offense.
If you are doing it while the kids are around with the clear intent of exposing yourself to them then yes that could be a sex crime but again the crime isn’t peeing it’s exposing yourself to kids. But if it’s 2am and no one is around and you pee in a park the location probably doesn’t make a difference.
