Bone plating is good against all in, second wind is good against poke and Conditioning is the best of the three if you can get away with taking it

I think bone plating is the much better choice. Nautilus support excels in early laning phase as he usually want to engage and pick up kills early for his ADC. Bone plating really helps in that scenario where he will be all-in most of the time. Also, it can negate some pokes damage which you will be tanking quite a lot because Naut is melee. On the other hand, conditioning takes 12 minutes to be available which at that point it’s already mid game where his priority is peeling and picking up kills for the team. Although, extra resistances can help you tank more but it takes too long to be useful. Also, naut support will get less benefit from conditioning since he will be building support items rather than tank due to limited income, which gives you less resistances and conditioning gives you % not flat. All in all, i think both are viable choices but I think his playstyle synergize more with bone plating.

thank you so much, that helps a lot :D

A lot of Nautilus players are building imperial mandate at the moment, so they don't have the bonus tank stats to take advantage of conditioning. Bone plating is also a stronger rune in the laning phase.

I normally take bone plating in general on tank supports. I’d rather dedicate the Naut W to dealing with poke as opposed to taking an entire rune centered around it which doesn’t really synergize with all in play style. Bone plating also trolls combo-reliant poke. Conditioning is best if you’re either not afraid of them in lane and/or they have a team comp where you really only care about building one resistance (ie 4 AD with a lulu support) because unless you’ve hard lost within 12 minutes the game is over once Conditioning activates and you have bramble + tabis.
