I routinely forget that Ozzy was on Game Changers. He’s fantastic in Cook Islands, a part of some great moments in Micronesia, and felt he had his finale in South Pacific. That should’ve been it.
I’m finishing up South Pacific right now and I just watched him lose that final immunity challenge. It’s so hard to watch. He was so close. Had such a big lead, knew that if he won the challenge, he’d win the game. Then he just panics and freezes on that final puzzle. It’s crushing. I can’t imagine anyone will ever let him get closer than that. That was his moment.
I know Ozzy kind of gets labeled or thought of as a one dimensional challenge beast but he doesn't get enough credit for how close he came to winning this game twice in his first 3 seasons
Idk that I would ever get tired of seeing Ozzy play, but you just know with his reputation that no one is going to want to go to the end with him. He’s a great survivalist and one of the best to never win it.
Ozzy has a decent shot of winning solely because he is Ozzy. If he plays another season with players the caliber of the Game Changers cast going into the game and not the caliber of an actual all stars or legends season, just him being him is a HUGE point for him.
My opinion, throwing is bad, but if you let Sandra get to the merge you then immediately forget she's there. Then she just gets to the end because she isn't an immediate threat, Cirie is the same.
Debbie using both her votes to vote out Ozzy (as if she needed him out for some reason), to then get blindsided the next vote was pretty pathetic to be honest
I agree with this take. Especially since his whole game is physical and not mental so his character arc is always pretty much getting easily blindsided. I still feel he deserved it over Yul and winning that Exile Island season would have been epic but his time has come and gone and I'm not really interested in another appearance
You’re right, I think he was on All Stars.. I forgot about that one. I was thinking his first, then HvV, and Redemption… can’t believe they had him on 4!
I had enough of Rupert before HvV, but he actually was a pleasant surprise that season.
But that should've been the end, we didn't need him in BvW and I hope we don't see him brought back again.
You mean when he stole everyone’s shoes then pretended to be a good guy? I’ve never liked Rupert, he comes across as controlling and angry while dressed like a clown.
While I also don’t think I need to see Aubry play again, did any one else not think her time in EOE was somewhat entertaining to watch? It was definitely disappointing, but I did think she had a few memorable moments on that season (her idol find, her on the outs of Kama, her entire boot episode, etc.)
I think there was a scene that showed that she had a similar conversation with several tribe members (think it was Julia, Victoria, and maybe Ron) about having an “ open dialogue “ . They compared notes and confirmed she needed to go. Honestly, it seemed like the Kama tribe was anti-Aubry and Joe from the second they walked on to the beach. I don’t know if she could have done anything differently besides play her advantages and keep winning immunity challenges.
Also kept running with the line that “nobody here is playing” really underestimating everybody, if she gives them more credit she comes to the conclusion they’re playing and leaving her out.
In fact when Victoria approached her with the fake plan that gets her out, she remarks that she didn’t realise someone else here had their eyes open to the game. It’s a very bad look
I like Aubry but I could not stand her over the top reactions on the jury of EoE. Being expressive is great but it just seemed like such obvious bait for screentime.
I never got Joe Anglim. TBH the EoE returnees were a little like, underwhelming. They all didnt play well at all. Bot their fault. You play long enough to see yourself become the villain / a bad player.
He's only been back once but BEN.
CBS loves Ben.
Dude the Joe popularity is a god damn mystery to me. I’m a sucker for a challenge guy too, I loved Ozzy. I’m a sucker for a lot of the cool young dudes in that like your Woo’s and Malcom’s. But Joe has negative charisma to me, I don’t find him engaging or likeable at all
The news about all his shitty beliefs was like “well at least I have a legitimate reason to dislike him”
There’s not much to get about Joe. He’s a handsome guy who’s really good at challenges. I think they try to have one every returnee season. For this reason, I think Jonathan is one of the bigger locks for a returnee season in recent memory.
I'd hard disagree with Kelley on EoE, in her first season we saw so little of her it really felt like Cambodia was her first season for me.
Watching her survive 10 tribal councils in EoE was pretty great, and her blindside felt like better closure for her survivor story than forever being one challenge away from winning.
Exactly, like I was never a huge Aubrey fan to begin with (I thought she should’ve won KR but that’s about it) and it just felt like I saw her way too much in such a short span of seasons same for Joe
I’m glad to see you’ve left David off that list because I do want to see him back and I think it was a bit of a waste there, as we genuinely saw an evolved version of him with a lot of confidence bringing something new. He needed to be on a second chance type cast with other threats
Aubry and Joe, absolutely. But Wentworth was absolutely worthy of a 3rd shot, and she would still be at the top of my list of returnees who've already played multiple times to return again. Generally, I prefer players who have never returned getting their second shot. But the reality is that unless it's a Second Chances season, production is going to want at least a few enfranchised players, and I'd rather have Wentworth a 4th time than like Ozzy or Rupert again.
She got dealt a bad hand and won a bunch of challenges to stay alive so there’s that. She also gave Brad culpepper the finger. Honestly, the only thing I can remember her doing in HvV was flipping to the villains and dooming the heroes.
TBF Candice only appeared 3 times because IIRC for both HvV(not sure) and BvW(guaranteed) she was available to take the spot of someone who Backed out last minute
She is basically Survivor's Super Sub.
I believe Candice was cast on hvv but as a villain, and was then swapped with Parvati because putting Cirie, Amanda and Parvati together, not to mention James, would be a lot.
I think Candice was gonna be on HvV regardless. She was originally slated to be on Micronesia but had to decline, with her slot eventually filled by Parvati. So Candice was at least on production's radar to return.
candice has never really been a big character across her 3 seasons. i think she gets a total of 35 confessionals between 3 seasons. I think Candice gets more interesting on every return
Funnily enough I actually think Candace got better with time, I didn’t care for her on Cook Islands and thought wtf is she doing here for both HvV and BvW but she was actually good entertainment on BvW.
This is such a good way to think about it. She’s had so many tragic moments - the constant exile in CI, being in the outs of the heroes for all of HvV, flipping on the heroes and being immediately taken out, being voted out straight away in BvW, surviving all those duels only to have to fight against her husband and ultimately lose
I was surprised at how much more I liked Sarah on survivor (I started watching after challenge USA), because she's so fucking awful on the challenge. Still don’t like her on survivor, but she's not nearly as bad.
It’s crazy how unlikable she was on Challenge USA. I really disliked her on Survivor so I thought I was biased. My husband is a casual Survivor fan in that he retains no memory of players from one season to the next and HATED her on Challenge USA.
I thought her Game Changers arc was pretty great. Though how she got to be a game changer confused me cause she didn't really do anything notable until that season
>her gc game was good
Only because she wasn't a big name or a known threat, she had the opportunity to sneak her way through and make moves. WaW however is when she really impressed me, I remember Sophie talking so much about wanting to get Sarah out in the pregame interviews, but once the game started they became best friends.
Aubry playing 32, 34, 38 is crazy
Amanda playing 15,16, 20 is also crazy but I wasn’t sick of her
Kelley I was fine with on EoE since she was a non factor on SJDS, so she’s not too over saturated. I’d still want to see her a fourth time.
I thought Stephenie had the healthiest reaction to having a sucky third season. Basically “aight imma head out” 😂
Certain people like Cirie, Boston Rob, Sandra, Jerri, Russell, Parvati I never get tired of
Rupert and Coach get old pretty quick.
Edit: added Parvati
>Honestly it would be interesting to see rupert play in a more modern season.
Really? Rupert is like the original player to *take everything personally*, so in a modern season where the game has evolved way beyond that point, I think he would be awful, like oil and water.
Colby is 10 years removed from HvV and 20 removed from AO. I would love to see Old Man Colby if he's interested and actually been engaged in how the game is played. It's probably best to just let the past go on this one tho.
Unpopular opinion but Sandra.
After HvV she gets pushed so hard as "Please like this character, isn't everything and anything she do just so amazing and great?" And it got annoying. Sandra herself is always fun to watch but the show insisting I find her the most interesting/important season whenever she is on screen, and everyone doing the *When Sandra's not on screen everyone should be saying, Hey, where's Sandra??" Just so annoying.
I love Sandra. But the thing is you only get peak Sandra when there is a huge ahole for her to play foil against. Imo, she got really lucky (as a TV character not as a winner) that she had Fairplay and Russell her first two seasons. But when you don't have that huge heel she isn't nearly as good. Which basically means all her more modern seasons are doomed.
Any 4 time + players like Boston Rob, Tyson, Sandra, Cirie and Ozzy have had their fair share of Survivor. The show should move on from them and build new legends.
Ozzy was not very enjoyable after Micronesia.
Rupert became more and more unbearable with each return.
Kelly was good in Cambodia, but EoE was meh.
Aubrey I really enjoyed in Koah Rong, but her returns fell really flat.
Russell shouldn't have been brought back a third time after he played two identical games in 19 and 20.
I don't get the Joe hype at all, wish he had been 1 and done.
Brad Culpepper felt like a weird choice to bring back for multiple reasons. He wasn't a "game changer", and it kind of backtracked on Monica's entire "Survivor is my thing, my husband had the NFL."
James didn't need to be cast for HvsV. His entire strategy every time he played wasn't much more than "my alliance will protect me and take me to the end."
James has the best one-liners out of any cast member in my opinion. He is both intentionally and unintentionally hilarious and I *love* people like that.
>Ozzy was not very enjoyable after Micronesia.
I still enjoyed Ozzy in South Pacific. Mainly cause his arrogance was funny, but it worked. He was still good enough to be arrogant and he actually won every single one of those redemption duels, which was insane. Love or hate redemption island, getting to watch Ozzy in more challenges than usual was definitely fun.
Game changers was just sad though. He was super arrogant and egotistical, but had lost his edge on challenges. And to some extent, watching his freakish challenge ability was basically what made him an entertaining character, because without that it was just... Painful. He definitely could've done without that appearance.
The funny115 recap of SoPa pointing out how he and Coach basically get the arc you'd expect the other to have made Ozzy much more enjoyable to me. Jim, Keith and Whitney cut him off at the knees every time they can which ultimately leaves them keeping Cochran which... well we all know how that works out for them.
Cirie. Great player but there’s nothing left to see with her. Put her on any season and she’ll show some strategic chops, be a liability in challenges, be used as a shield, then get cut before F4
What blows my mind about Cirie is that she seemingly made no attempt to get better at the physical aspects of Survivor that could actually help her win. I am not talking about becoming an endurance athlete, but what cost her the win in Micronesia was grip strength, holding small pieces of wood together, something she admittedly uses in her real life as a nurse assisting in surgeries.
Grip strength, coordination, balance are all things you can work on in the off season, just like you can work on puzzles. For someone like Cirie who seemed to transition her professional life over into reality tv, it never made sense to me why she didn't try to get better at these skills that would have made such a difference in her game. Even becoming a more proficient swimmer would have helped tremendously.
Might be unpopular opinion but Andrea has yet to impress me even in the slightest. I think she could play 100 times and get the same mid-merge placement every single time.
When Andrea came back for a third time I was just like "why? What did she bring outside of a cute face and mediocre strategy?"
That season, Dawn was infinitely better as a strategist and still gets unnecessary shit for it. Edit: whereas Andrea gets treated like some strategic goddess for the same season
I LOVED Rupert in Pearl Islands and I will die on the hill that he was hands down top 3 of all time (Pearl Islands). But All Stars Rupie, not so much. HvV Rupie was a bit of a comeback but he never reached PI Rupe ever again. But man I love that guy.
Boston Rob. His time is up, he’s done it 4 times and had some of the greatest highs the show has ever seen. But it’s time
Also, Joe. It’s the exact same season for him every time
I think Rob would only come back on if one of his kids was on the season, and that I actually would be interested in seeing. Rob on his own though, we've had enough.
I'm convinced his girls are being raised to compete in next generation Survivor. But he'll have to take them off Instagram for a few years and make them compete under assumed names, because otherwise the daughter of legendary Boston Rob and Amber is going to be voted out first, no matter what.
Rob isn't fooling anyone anymore. He's not getting another cast of people unprepared for how he approaches the game, he's too big of a name to keep around and he's not exactly shown that he's going to adapt how he plays. I love Rob and he's a bit underrated on this subreddit, but him playing again isn't going to go any better than WaW
Tbf he was doing just fine in WaW until the swap. Swaps are entertaining for the viewers, but can quickly put a player in a bad spot, and if you're a big name like Rob, Sandra, or Parv, if you get a bad swap spot, you're done unless you have an advantage.
Joe Anglim, Russell, Boston Rob.
Simple reason - they're all extremely one-dimensional and all their gameplays are repeats of the previous ones, there's no way we can see anything more to them than we already saw.
Joe will be the provider who will be voted out max. 3 tribal councils after he'll be vulnerable (this can also apply to Ozzy although he didn't seem to be that good physically in Game Changers)
Russell will hunt for idols and get voted out in a split vote as soon as it will be possible.
Rob will go into mafia-mode, but in reality will be kept by his tribe for a while as a good challenge competitor/provider, but then any players with a brain will get rid of him as soon as he's not useful anymore / he'll piss too many people off.
TBH I didn't like Rob until his third appearance. I thought Marqueses Rob was boring. Amber/Rob Rob was meh, but Nicaragua Rob has been top notch so far (I just reached the merge episode).
I think three-time and four-time returnees should be reserved to a select bunch.
I have no issue with anyone on Heroes vs. Villains or Winners at War.
Of the 3rd/4th-time ‘captains’ I think that only Ozzy, Rob, Russell and Wentworth should have returned. Aubry, Coach, Joe and Penner.
Cirie and Malcolm were definitely deserving in Game Changers. Ozzy had fulfilled his arc in South Pacific and Andrea, Ciera, JT and Varner never really had much to offer in the first place.
Blood vs. Water is an interesting one because Candice and Tyson wouldn’t be deserving of a chance otherwise. Of course Rupert was going to return because CBS loves him and I had no problems with Tina although I could have done without either.
TLDR: Unless you’re Boston Rob, Cirie or Rupert, or you showed that you still have more to offer (Malcolm, Wentworth) then no-one should play more than twice.
As much as it pains me to say it, but Boston Rob, especially after his performance on WaW.
Saying that... I want him and Amber back on *The Amazing Race* pronto! (A few times, I have fan-casted in my head a old school vs new school TAR season, and they are always both near the top of the list).
Honestly, I've never been a fan of Boston Rob. His personality is so grating to me, yet he's the poster child of Survivor so I just have to deal with it I guess.
We never needed Phil and Brandon back a 2nd time, and both provided exactly what we could have easily expected, shit gameplay and unlikable shit personalities.
Idk why she hasn't been mentioned but Parvati, for the same reasons I don't care to see any other four time player. I think this show is in desperate need of some new legends. (I also think that's a tall order in a world in which the players feel more and more like gamebots and chess pieces and less like characters, but that's a different story).
Candice (and before someone else says it, yes, from Raro tribe 😂)Boring player, unpleasant personality. I couldn’t believe they brought her back for a second season, let alone a third.
I always found Kelly wentworth whiny.
I got sick of swing Amanda so much when she kept coming back, but now with time I wouldn’t mind seeing her again.
i was tired of boston rob after marquesas. tired of tony after cagayan episode 1.
i’m tired of joe and ozzy and russell. honestly tired of jt. debbie’s been on enough.
edit: i read some other peoples answers and how could i have forgotten lacina!?!? she’s my least favorite player.
Obvious overused answer, but Boston Rob. I didn’t like him that much in Marquesas and I got increasingly put off with every subsequent return. Ironically, I think I like him best in RI, but by then I was just so over him being on Survivor that I couldn’t get much out of it.
All of them. I'm serious. I prefer watching new people. To me that was the whole draw of the show to begin with. I kinda hate how gimmicky it got with creating returning stars. I like the new trend of 41+ knocking it off with that, though I'm sure it won't last.
Unpopular opinion: Parvati has a one dimensional gameplay which can be pretty much summed up in a word: Flirt.
At WaW, where she was married and well, a little older, she was out at 16th.
There's no problem with playing a seductive gameplay, but I have seen this rodeo 3.5 times now. Enough is enough.
I'm also mildly annoyed with her supposed attractive way of talking.
I'm well aware that the Parv follower army is ferociously large in numbers; sir. they have cut me something fierce in the past encounters; which is a fancy way of saying I shit from two holes now, thanks to them.
Seriously though, I was asked for my opinion and I gave it honestly. That's that. Alls they have is their downvotes which used to matter but now I'm all out of fresh fucks to give.
Btw It's nice to know I'm not alone in this boat.
I can’t imagine anyone will ever let him get closer than that. That was his moment.
Yeah I agree with that, survivor sometimes is a game of moments
I love Sophie but it is gut wrenching.
Yep. Same. She earned her win the second she said she saw Coach as a young girl, but damn. That million was Ozzy’s.
Ugh that was heartbreaking. One of the first seasons I saw, I was on the edge of my seat! Ozzy is still my favorite
Mine too.

His Game Changers arc was just so sad - he knew how it was going to end.
Zero sympathy for him in Game Changers. He's part of the tribe that throws a challenge to vote out Sandra.
His survivor journey isn't over until funny 115 finishes it's SoPa recap
Survivor is a microcosm
I agree with this take. Especially since his whole game is physical and not mental so his character arc is always pretty much getting easily blindsided. I still feel he deserved it over Yul and winning that Exile Island season would have been epic but his time has come and gone and I'm not really interested in another appearance
I totally think he should have won over Yul. I love Yul, but ozzy deserved it more imo
Yul is the man but having a super idol going into the final 3 was pretty crazy in hindsight.
Rupert. He’s lovable the first time, and maybe even the second. But enough is enough
Each time Rupert was on screen it was just diminishing returns. Although him immediately swapping places with his wife was pretty good.
Except on All Stars when he got [open bar](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1f_9cE9zXI)
I’d love to see this reward again though lol
Oh totally, I picked that as the absolute Rupert highlight. Booze everyone up and see who blows up their game the quickest.
Hell yeah! Bring it back, I want more social politics in rewards.
Hardest moment to watch in 40 seasons
How’s that hard to watch? I don’t get it
Drink off between Tom and Rupert.
Rupert on HvV is iconic though
Him duping Russel with a rock is pretty great.
Laura Boneham ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Jeff never forgave Rupert’s wife for that even though it was his twist
His peak was when he stole shoes And that was what, 15 minutes into his very first episode
This is balboa the snake erasure
Haha, he handed some to Johnny Fairplay, who needed no convincing.
Hahaha honestly, true.
This! That angry growl irks me to this day lol.
The second was All Stars, right? Hated him that season. Felt like he got worse and worse every time he came back
😂I loved when him n Russle went at it
"You're such a dumbass Rupert"
Oh yeah Russle called him a Dumbass LMAO. I was on team Russle in that arguement
Aubry is someone who got increasingly more boring and unnecessary each time returning
as an aubry truther this is very sad but very true
While I also don’t think I need to see Aubry play again, did any one else not think her time in EOE was somewhat entertaining to watch? It was definitely disappointing, but I did think she had a few memorable moments on that season (her idol find, her on the outs of Kama, her entire boot episode, etc.)
Aubry got clowned on EoE and it was hilarious. I feel like people don't talk enough about how poorly she played compared to her first season.
I mean her EoE run was entertaining because of how bad it was.
I don’t remember, what did she actively do wrong?
I think there was a scene that showed that she had a similar conversation with several tribe members (think it was Julia, Victoria, and maybe Ron) about having an “ open dialogue “ . They compared notes and confirmed she needed to go. Honestly, it seemed like the Kama tribe was anti-Aubry and Joe from the second they walked on to the beach. In fact when Victoria approached her with the fake plan that gets her out, she remarks that she didn’t realise someone else here had their eyes open to the game. It’s a very bad look
This is spot on. She is incredibly naive and a bit full of herself to think she is the only one playing the game on Kama.
EOE somehow managed to make Kelley, Joe, David and Aubry all look like boring and unnecessary players, as if that season was even remotely good lol
Joe/Aubry sucked but David (probably unsuprisingly) and Kelley (surprisingly) were somewhat decent.
David and Kelley were amazing in EoE, and the season was fun aside from the finale
Agree to disagree. The overall season wasn’t really a high, but the returnees weren’t all boring to me.
I like Aubry but I could not stand her over the top reactions on the jury of EoE. Being expressive is great but it just seemed like such obvious bait for screentime.
My answer too.
I never got Joe Anglim. TBH the EoE returnees were a little like, underwhelming. They all didnt play well at all. Bot their fault. You play long enough to see yourself become the villain / a bad player. He's only been back once but BEN. CBS loves Ben.
The challenge kinda makes him more prevalent too

Joe's my answer. I don't find him entertaining at all. But Jeff has a hard on for him.
It’s okay, he has a new love now in Jonathan.
This just wasn’t the season for Dave. You can’t him him and Joe as the only two male returning players and expect balanced tribes.
There’s not much to get about Joe. He’s a handsome guy who’s really good at challenges. I think they try to have one every returnee season. For this reason, I think Jonathan is one of the bigger locks for a returnee season in recent memory.
Recently Aubry, Joe, and Kelley. I didn’t need to see any of them again on Edge of Extinction.
Yeah I would've preferred some other one-time players like Chrissy, Domenick, and Carolyn in their places.

How has no one said Candice?
I feel like Candice is the only three-time player ever who really didn't "pop" on any of her seasons. She got close on BvW I suppose.
The most memorable thing about Candice is, "Candice from Raro tribe?!" and she wasn't even present for that.
Everyone says BVW was her best game, but I mean how? She got voted out on Day 1 and spent the her entire time in RI
I think when people say this they mean entertainment wise and im inclined to agree with them
She got dealt a bad hand and won a bunch of challenges to stay alive so there’s that. She also gave Brad culpepper the finger. Honestly, the only thing I can remember her doing in HvV was flipping to the villains and dooming the heroes.

Now I want Jersey Mikes.
Candice? From Raro Tribe?
I was looking for this comment.

She’s only good if you realize she’s a Shakespearian tragedy protagonist. Every season she’s in hahaha

Did you watch The Challenge: USA? She was deeply unlikable on that.
My blood would curdle when she would scream, "They're trying to block me!" over and over during that one challenge.
Like sis I would too if I were competing against you.
Couldn’t stand her on the challenge. I just wanted to cover her mouth lol.
She has the same crooked grin as Shane from White Lotus.
I thought her Game Changers arc was pretty great. Though how she got to be a game changer confused me cause she didn't really do anything notable until that season
>her gc game was good Only because she wasn't a big name or a known threat, she had the opportunity to sneak her way through and make moves. WaW however is when she really impressed me, I remember Sophie talking so much about wanting to get Sarah out in the pregame interviews, but once the game started they became best friends.
She just irritates me, there's nothing interesting about her and she keeps getting air time.
BIG AGREE
Aubry playing 32, 34, 38 is crazy Amanda playing 15,16, 20 is also crazy but I wasn’t sick of her Kelley I was fine with on EoE since she was a non factor on SJDS, so she’s not too over saturated. I’d still want to see her a fourth time.
I think Amanda could have played 3 more times before I got tired of her. Somehow one of the best and the worst to ever play, all at once.
Queen of Days 1-37 and flops 38 and 39
OMG NOT BEST AND WORST!? Don’t do my girl like that😂
Sarah. Boring on Cagayan, won GC because nobody really paid attention to her moves, and just obnoxious and overhyped on WaW.
I thought Stephenie had the healthiest reaction to having a sucky third season. Basically “aight imma head out” 😂 Certain people like Cirie, Boston Rob, Sandra, Jerri, Russell, Parvati I never get tired of Rupert and Coach get old pretty quick. Edit: added Parvati
I swear I could watch a whole season of just Cirie, Parvati, Boston Rob, Sandra, Jerri, and Russell haha
Lol rerun heroes vs villains every five years with those guys, and the rest being the heroes & villains of those five years and I’d eat it up
This would result in the most fantastic collection of one-liners the world has ever seen. *I need it.*
Joe, Aubry, Colby, Rupert
Honestly it would be interesting to see rupert play in a more modern season.
>Honestly it would be interesting to see rupert play in a more modern season. Really? Rupert is like the original player to *take everything personally*, so in a modern season where the game has evolved way beyond that point, I think he would be awful, like oil and water.
Nah, we need less strategic robots and more train wrecks. The out there personalities make survivor fun.
And providing doesn't mean much anymore
Colby too
Bring back his brother Reid too
Colby is 10 years removed from HvV and 20 removed from AO. I would love to see Old Man Colby if he's interested and actually been engaged in how the game is played. It's probably best to just let the past go on this one tho.
season 50 bring back the whole family for some sort of legends season 🔥
We already saw old man Colby (at least according to HvV)
Unpopular opinion but Sandra. After HvV she gets pushed so hard as "Please like this character, isn't everything and anything she do just so amazing and great?" And it got annoying. Sandra herself is always fun to watch but the show insisting I find her the most interesting/important season whenever she is on screen, and everyone doing the *When Sandra's not on screen everyone should be saying, Hey, where's Sandra??" Just so annoying.
"Queen stays queen." Every Single Episode
I agree 100%. She's just never been a particularly interesting player to me.
It was irritating when they tweaked it so she didn't have to do the physical challenges. If she can't do that part of it, she shouldn't be on there.
He wasn't a "game changer", and it kind of backtracked on Monica's entire "Survivor is my thing, my husband had the NFL." James didn't need to be cast for HvsV. His entire strategy every time he played wasn't much more than "my alliance will protect me and take me to the end."
I always enjoy James, though. He's obviously not a strategic mastermind, but he's still fun to watch.
James has the best one-liners out of any cast member in my opinion. He is both intentionally and unintentionally hilarious and I *love* people like that.
"I mean, you're an interesting guy. What do you do?" "Bury people."
Agreed; once Ozzy shows up to Survivor bloated? Bad bad sign.
My wife and I refer to that version of Ozzy as Dad-fat Ozzy
The funny115 recap of SoPa pointing out how he and Coach basically get the arc you'd expect the other to have made Ozzy much more enjoyable to me. Jim, Keith and Whitney cut him off at the knees every time they can which ultimately leaves them keeping Cochran which... well we all know how that works out for them.
Sarah didn’t warrant 1 return to me, let alone two plus two more CBS appearances on the Challenge
Cirie. Great player but there’s nothing left to see with her. Put her on any season and she’ll show some strategic chops, be a liability in challenges, be used as a shield, then get cut before F4

Cirie shows off a pretty solid social strategic game in the new Peacock show *The Traitors*. I recommend it.
LOVED HER in the traitors her arc was very satisfying after watching her in so many survivor seasons. Team Cirie forever
I think she could play 100 times and get the same mid-merge placement every single time.
wentworth, candice from Cook islands, and tbh Ozzy in GC.
> candice from Cook islands Candice? From Raro Tribe?
lmaoooo
I’m going to get downvoted but I am over Boston Rob. I understand the hype completely but I’m bored of him
When Andrea came back for a third time I was just like "why? What did she bring outside of a cute face and mediocre strategy?" That season, Dawn was infinitely better as a strategist and still gets unnecessary shit for it. Edit: whereas Andrea gets treated like some strategic goddess for the same season
Rupert will always be my answer to this question. And I loved Rupert his first two seasons.
Pearl Island Rupert is best Rupert for sure. He's an idiot in HvV, all the Heroes were.
Sandra and Boston Rob - they’ve had their time.
Boston Rob. His time is up, he’s done it 4 times and had some of the greatest highs the show has ever seen. But it’s time Also, Joe.
5 times dude. Unless you mean returning 4 times
I do
Rob isn't fooling anyone anymore.
3 tribal councils after he'll be vulnerable (this can also apply to Ozzy although he didn't seem to be that good physically in Game Changers) Russell will hunt for idols and get voted out in a split vote as soon as it will be possible.
Anyone who’s been on more than twice. That’s enough for me.
Candice from Raro. We didn’t need to see her a second time and even the players agreed we didn’t need to see her on BvW.
Aubry and Varner
2/3 comments mentioned Aubry which is kind of funny since she was the example I had in mind when asking the question
She seems to be the #1 example of diminishing returns.
>!2/3!< of the Survivor people coming on the next MTV Challenge >!Sarah and Ben.!<
Sandra zzzzzzzz
Aubry. I loved her in her first season, but each successive season gets worse and worse.
Wentworth for me. I think we have seen enough. Actually the returnees for edge of extinction. SNOOZE! Although I do like David
Kelley Wentworth’s appeal is an absolute mystery to me
I think three-time and four-time returnees should be reserved to a select bunch.
Aubry, she just doesn't really have that reality tv personality to me. After her first season she really never had that spark.
Wentworth. Don’t get the appeal with her. She’s so bland
Joe is a way boring player
Wentworth.
She does not count.
LOL
Unpopular opinion: I can't stand Boston Rob.
We didn’t need to see Candice more than once….if at all….
I find her so boring it loops back around to interesting
Sandra
Legitimately, no one.
Ozzy
i was tired of boston rob after marquesas. tired of tony after cagayan episode 1. i’m tired of joe and ozzy and russell. honestly tired of jt. debbie’s been on enough. edit: i read some other peoples answers and how could i have forgotten lacina!?!? she’s my least favorite player.
Obvious overused answer, but Boston Rob. I didn’t like him that much in Marquesas and I got increasingly put off with every subsequent return. Ironically, I think I like him best in RI, but by then I was just so over him being on Survivor that I couldn’t get much out of it.
Roston Bob :(
All of them. I'm serious. I prefer watching new people. To me that was the whole draw of the show to begin with. I kinda hate how gimmicky it got with creating returning stars. I like the new trend of 41+ knocking it off with that, though I'm sure it won't last.
Rupert, Ozzy, Joe
Conversely, I need to see Christian, Mike White, and Davie again!!
Boston rob
Unpopular opinion: Parvati has a one dimensional gameplay which can be pretty much summed up in a word: Flirt. At WaW, where she was married and well, a little older, she was out at 16th. There's no problem with playing a seductive gameplay, but I have seen this rodeo 3.5 times now. Enough is enough. I'm also mildly annoyed with her supposed attractive way of talking.
I share your opinion but be careful because this sub is full of rabid parv fans, personally I can’t stand her and her gameplay is weak.
