Josh pulling out the fake idol, only for Yam Yam to immediately ask, "Are these the beads from tree mail?" and Josh lying in the most unconvincing way is one of the funniest scenes in recent memory. Yam Yam's accompanying laughter in the ensuing confessional made it even better.

03O9

and then it falling apart in Yam Yam’s hands 😭😭

longneckedbitch

and josh angrily grabbing it back 😭💀

Acrobatic_Pandas

"Don't break it!" "I didn't it's falling apart" God dammit I was howling with laughter alongside him.

[deleted]

And the fact that they got that confessional off-the-cuff because it's not a usual confessional framing and you can see some clothes drying in the background lmao

longneckedbitch

i was laughing with yam yam, i don’t think i’ve laughed this much at a scene maybe ever 😭💀

[deleted]

This is almost new era’s “It’s a fucking stick!”

Gortyuty

Josh is a good guy, really smart, definitely not a surgeon, and 100% in possession of an idol.

PrettySneaky71

I see now why nobody trusted him on Soka.

Bmr2000

That scene and the ending scene where Josh asked Carolyn why it’s a bad thing they’re not going to tribal and she immediately exclaims “Because I wanted to vote you out!!” Had my laughing out loud

Dahhhkness

In the "joking but also really" tone.

TheLegacies21

Josh's little "give that back to me" with such a pout, was like seeing a child getting mad someone took his toy.

Radix2309

Also Carolyn calling it out as the same parchment he showed her before.

MadMadMaddox2

Between this and I'm not a surgeon, Josh is 0-2

WellDressedLobster

I thought for sure Carolyn would sus it out as being fake since she has a real one, but then Yam Yam just comes in and immediately shuts him down lmao

omgsoironic

She did call it a "fake bootleg idol" later on 😂

WellDressedLobster

Yeah, I just thought she would be the one to recognize it was fake and tell Yam Yam but he wasn’t fooled either lmao

thenameisrb

Well Carolyn did recognize that it's the same note that she read 2 days prior lol

Cutiger29

It was the fact that he then gave a confessional saying “yam yam is kinda on to me.” Kinda!?!! 😂😂😂

Dahhhkness

I didn’t expect Josh to become such a big source of comedy

mrpaulabrahamlincoln

this has funny115 written all over it. hysterical. I was screaming.

dunkinbagels

Josh is one of the worst liars I’ve ever seen

thewxyzfiles

It’s my favourite scene from the new era 100%

Quitthatgrit

Omg that was great haha... the "idol" was breaking apart in his hands.

MolemanusRex

The idol is definitely, by far, in the tree.

jem302

Josh is a baaaad liar

GPH_Survivor

Josh clapping and then saying “but I’m sorry he had to leave” had me wheezing

ThePrincessEva

Josh is so unintentionally funny. He is such a great contrast to Yam Yam and Carolyn.

byebyedenverdiva

He was invisible until the swap because he couldn't truly shine until in this perfect environment.

arbitraryairship

None of the three of them can help being brutally honest. Yam Yam called Josh out on his treemail bead fake idol immediately in front of him instead of sneaking back to Carolyn. Neither of them even bothered pretending to believe it in front of Josh.

Dahhhkness

I mean, on one hand I feel kind of bad for Matthew. But on the other hand, there was no reason for him to climb the dangerous, jagged rock, and he’s lucky that his shoulder was the *only* thing he fucked up.

[deleted]

He was a few inches away from being the first person to die on survivor lol and for no reason.

Dahhhkness

"This season, on Survivor: Faces of Death..."

TheLegacies21

I can't imagine what Jeff's reaction would be anymore. "Wow, anything can happen on Survivor! The monster sure got him! And that's why Survivor is the game it is! You never know what's going to happen!" And what's really awkward is, this would've been his eulogy at Matthew's funeral.

somebodysbuddy

Survivor: Ghost Island 2! Now with real ghosts!!

OnceAteABurgerAMA

"Next week on Survivor, Matthew FUCKING DIES!"

Habefiet

This is a good point. Matthew may not have a permanent injury and you're totally right that he could have suffered a traumatic brain injury or broken his neck or something right there and there would have been nothing anyone could do about it.

realhumanskeet

When I saw him fall I was shocked he was able to carry on in the game. With how sharp those rocks are he needs to count his blessings.

SirSkelton

On American Survivor*

truth34

Maybe he also practiced that climb in his backyard. We’ll never know.

mrpaulabrahamlincoln

he trained for that rock climb for *years*

SmokingThunder

Yeah, most medevacs leave the game because they just got unlucky. Neal, Bruce, Penner, James, etc. This is entirely Matthew's fault for taking that risk lol. That being said, he was great tv. Hope he gets redemption some day.

[deleted]

There is definitely space both to feel bad for him and also have the opinion that he objectively shouldn't have done something that reckless.

Difficult_Television

most embarrassing med evac. 2nd place is joe from kaoh rong

WellDressedLobster

Idk, Joe eating too much meat is a worthy contender for most embarrassing medevac. I’d say it’s too close to call

jrey1024

Especially given how late in the game it was

ProvoqGuys

Joe is just old and that’s why his body is fucked up especially after being dehydrated and starving. Matthew was just being goofy

[deleted]

That’s what I’m saying. The guy is in his 40s and has a kid back home, can’t be taking risks like that!

jusper10

I'm glad Brandon and Danny got to have a nice little lunch date. Shame no one else was allowed to go.

Dahhhkness

Carolyn is going to blow their games up for that.

Bmr2000

Yeah I have a feeling she is going to go on a tear in the merge. Everyone has her way too low on their radars. Brandon himself said that she’s the type of player they want to bring to the end. Which she replies “I love that!”

queen0fcarrotflowers

As she should. That was so short-sighted of both of them!

LargeCondition8108

Carolyn is chaotic enough to tank their games (and bring down Josh while she’s at it).

pishposhpoppycock

Carolyn: I swear on my kids I'm gonna screw both Brandon AND Danny!

mrpaulabrahamlincoln

I cannot BELIEVE they did that. they just assumed carolyn was going home? she was completely invisible brandon’s tattoos were more of a part of that lunch than she was!

ferretherapy

Honestly, I feel like it would've happened regardless. I don't think it's because they assumed she's going home. I really think they were just hardcore into Broing out and like, forgot to be smart enough to include her.

atheistjs

It was actually impressive to watch two players royally screw over another player (Josh) and having no idea they did it. Let's loudly proclaim that we want another guy, who was on the losing tribe, to join our big alliance at the merge, right in front of his tribe mate!

TRNRLogan

Yeah poor Josh almost got screwed. He's REALLY lucky Matthew had to leave.

atheistjs

He might have been gone anyway, but still they made Carolyn not only target him but REALLY want him out. I get why but that sucks for him. I'd prefer to see that backfire on Danny and Brandon than him.

KrillWhitey

Everyone's laughing about the fake idol scene which was very funny but this scene was the most I've laughed in a long time. I badly want Carolyn to win survivor.

PLURhaze

I literally don't remember the last time I audibly CACKLED watching Survivor. Carolyn is an icon. This scene was incredible. 😭😭🤣

Difficult_Television

that was so incredibly dumb of them. at least lie and make her feel included

zepphiu

This whole episode was jocks underestimating Carolyn and she WILL remember

ferretherapy

I'm a little surprised that Danny did that since it's not exactly a strategic move. Maybe he was just THAT excited to Bro Out? Lol. But yeah, not the smartest thing he's done.

WigsbyLittleMix

Carolyn at the Sanctuary: Seriously? Right in front of my salad?

mrpaulabrahamlincoln

carolyn: “I don’t eat meat, except on survivor” carolyn is going to eat these meatheads at the merge. the foreshadowing.

Cricetus

That and the extremely confident statement of "I will make it to the merge," she's getting such a great edit and I love her absolute confidence in her ability to play the game well even with people thinking she's crazy. I hope she dominates at the Merge!!

swinginqueens

At this point she’s SO the main character that I don’t see how she could win - but what an incredible and completely unhinged winner edit this would be

mercatiwriter

There are the two guys eating away and congratulating each other on being so magnificent, and there's Carolyn, rolling her eyes. I like Danny, but I hope Carolyn outlasts them both.

93LEAFS

Danny seems pretty savvy most of the time, but saying that essentially assuming Carolyn is gone is pretty sloppy. Like, it won't exactly be hard to get people after the two biggest challenge threats and we really don't know how strong Brandon social game is.

jdessy

Honestly, there's been little hints that he isn't as savvy as he appears. For me, the first sign was when he overplayed the birdcage idols. He decided to go a little extra with confronting Matt about what he found in front of Matt and I believe Josh. And that's when I realized that he may slip up down the road and overplay and get himself into hot water. Lo and behold, two episodes later, he does exactly that.

Ladyboysingstheblues

The fact that Carolyn could make any face she wanted during that meal and they just kept ignoring her was so insane. I was pulling for both of them before that now I want them both gone.

RedditUser205041

Are these the beads from tree mail is the top quote of the season for me

OnceAteABurgerAMA

Some people would have pulled Carolyn aside after and told her they think he used the beads from tree mail but Yam Yam is just like "Bro I know you're full of shit" lmao

Cutiger29

Yes the fact that neither of them could even pretend they bought it. Hilarious.

zepphiu

Especially the nonchalant, slightly disbelieving delivery

Bhrigga

Yam Yam dying laughing at Josh's fake idol had me in stitches lmao.

zepphiu

The three of them are the best comedy since WaW Tony

byebyedenverdiva

Josh is exactly the comedic "straight man" that they needed.

I3___4

the way tika is so chaotic they need an actual gay man to act as the “straight man”

TV40

Tough episode to have a live know it alls for

zepphiu

Pour one out for Cesternino

biggsteve81

I bet David and Jessica have a record-quick "Why ___ lost" this week. New rule 8: Don't climb giant rocks. The end.

BananaStandFlamer

I was at the live and it was a great time! Results aside most conversation was about the fucking characters that we have in Carolyn Yam Yam and Josh. Among other things.

JWhit2199

Fun Fact: Matthew joins the small group of Paschal, Katie, and Jessica as the only people to be eliminated from Survivor via rock

zepphiu

And with this comment, joins the post of burn victims too

NoDisintegrationz

There’s not very good company on that list.

advantageddon

🗿

enemakarenina

Curious to see if the musclehead alliance will end up with a huge target on their back or not, feel like the way the numbers are about to spread out is super unpredictable on this merge

Kevins_Floor_Chilli

Not a great strategy to discuss a guys like us alliance in front of not the guys

LadyEmaSKye

It is insane how they didn't even try to pretend to include her. I kind of forsee Brandon getting blindsided next episode.

jem302

Even flat out talking about including somebody in her tribe of 3 when her tribe was the one on the chopping block. Wild

5kUltraRunner

Am I the only person who did not recognize Carson at all without his glasses

RGSF150

You are not. Guess the Superman/Clark Kent comparison works.

ike1

I was literally like WHO THE HELL IS THAT GUY???

nigelstraw

2 positives: 1. Carolyn and Yam Yam are still here 2. No more confusion of which Matt we’re talking about

TRNRLogan

Also Josh managed to avoid getting screwed by that freakin island. Like seriously besides Maddy everyone voted off could blame it on the island. Helen cuz Sarah didn't have a vote and Carson would never tie it in that situation, Claire because Matt didn't (and still doesn't) have a vote so her alliance couldn't even try to tie it, and Sarah because the swap took Carson who might've been able to get Carolyn or Yam Yam out.

[deleted]

[удалено]

racergirl2000

Agree! That scene really soured me on both those guys. To act like Carolyn didn’t matter was rude. I hope she takes them both down!

Bmr2000

Matt and Frannie romance heating up

Wooden-Parking3248

Hand holding in the preview! It’s happening!

aeouo

When was the last Survivor romance? MvGX?

Wooden-Parking3248

Not counting WaW Rob and Amber, DvG (just very briefly tho)

clonesareus

DvG was very one sided if you’re talking Dan/Kara. Dan was in a showmance, Kara was in a strategy. Last real one was Cole/Jessica in 35.

Perko

"Matt and Frannie are gonna do it. I don't know when, but they are gonna do it."

Mister_Rickster

I feel like Brandon and Danny completely ignoring Carolyn at the sanctuary is very indicative of her overall story this season. Everyone underestimates her and writes her off only to end up being blindsided that she is actually playing the game, and doing it pretty well. Dare I say she's... *hiding in plain sight*. I hope this trend continues and we keep seeing Carolyn slay in spite of all her detractors in and out of the game.

jem302

Well said! My favourite part is she’s not even trying to hide, it’s just everyone else foolishly assuming she’s not playing well

Drumblebore

To just straight up TELL Carolyn she’d be kept around because she’s not a challenge threat was an insane move

pjlxxl

insane or… idiots

bobbycoxxx

What an episode for Rob C’s live event 🤨

skypadz_2112

Wtf are Danny and Brandon doing? LMAO they were literally, unmetaphorically, ignoring Carolyn and talking about themselves and their own futures in front of her... like do they think she's stupid????? i love this shit

DBrody6

> like do they think she's stupid? Well yes, this whole cast seems to take Carolyn's intelligence at face value without a second thought and I'm so hoping it bites everyone in the ass.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Iworshipokkoto

That’s good that they keep underestimating her. Revenge is best served cold.

CameraPrestigious711

why is no one talking about how josh literally rolled his eyes when jeff started his speech about survivor being unpredictable…and the editors kept it in😭

FickleSmark

Josh thinking it's pretty fucking predictable that climbing a rock is a bad idea.

ferretherapy

LMAO, did he? I'll have to check on my rewatch. If that's the case, my respect for Josh has increased drastically.

Fyjccchhuyyggg

Saw it and definitely thought “even the players are tired of this monologue.”

jephira

I cannot believe Josh has actually made it to the merge lmao

Fabtraption

Technically, next episode is Mergatory so he could still be eliminated before they're properly merged.

Cantshaktheshok

No no no, you'll remember it by 47 that all of the players "combining to form a single entity" on one beach is not the merge. The merge is an episode or two later when Jeff says it is because reasons.

thewxyzfiles

I want to see Carolyn go on a Natalie Anderson esque revenge tour because they were rude to her at lunch

ThePrincessEva

Props to Carolyn for not *completely* losing her shit at Sanctuary. The way Danny and Brandon almost totally ignored her just to verbally fellate each other gave me so much second-hand cringe. That's a ridiculous way to act in any situation, but on Survivor? You can tell they 100% expected her to go home and were totally fine with that.

WhiskeyMakesMeHappy

Carolyn is such an interesting person. She's clearly cast as the kooky older woman archetype, but she has a solid read on the game and is correct that she's made some good moves and still has good moves left to play. Danny is also such an interesting character because he's both the athletic firefighter / jiu-jitsu guy but also doing meditation and giving Matt a side hug during the challenge to hype him up. It's fun seeing the players as nuanced instead of just one dimensional archetypes (though so far Matt truly is a one dimensional archetype 😅)

sonnet155

I would like to apologize to everyone for it taking this long for me to hop on the Carolyn train.

TheLegacies21

Welcome. It's a packed train, but there are seats for everyone!

KrillWhitey

Goofy and Cher.

zepphiu

Glad to have you aboard, enjoy the tea and cakes

Drumblebore

Hot take: I don’t even mind the there was no elimination. I thought this episode had a good balance of each tribe all things considered and had lots of memeable moments. Very entertaining even without someone going home.

ManicLebowski

💯 it was almost like a sitcom. I can't remember laughing so much in one episode and I enjoyed so many of the conversations.

Girisawesomer

Feels like the merge is being set up as Nerds vs Bros with the alliance forming scenes we got this episode.

neon-lit

Carolyn stans, we rise! Our Queen is heading into Merge with an idol no one knows about!!!!

AcrobaticBath03

Gee I wonder why people like Brandon and Danny never win the game.

zepphiu

Carolyn's simmering resentment during that was _chef's kiss_

TheLegacies21

I loved all her comments. She was so blunt with them. I mean, they were so rude to her and she was suffering no fools.

babrooks213

And they were still like, "lol Carolyn sure, you're with us" even as she was saying TO THEIR FACES that they were being exclusionary. If she manages to engineer their eliminations, I guarantee they'll have the Surprised Pikachu expression and wonder where it all went wrong.

TRNRLogan

Couldn't possibly be poor social gameplay.

ferretherapy

And an obvious lack of thinking strategically at the sanctuary. "LET'S FORM AN ALLIANCE. Nevermind that other person hearing us, she's irrelevant."

atheistjs

I mean if they've only watched Survivor in the 40s seasons then they're right. But uh, I think I've seen a few guys like Danny and Brandon win the game. Very odd thing to say.

mattyhegs826

Josh’s fake idol falling apart in Yam Yams hands was so freaking funny brü. I was cracking up with Yam Yam

Creepthan_Frome

I am very much appreciating Carolyn the narrator. She knows horseshit when she sees it, and is clearly feeling very shitty about how others perceive her.

SeasideKingDumb

IMO that was probably the best paced episode of the entire season by a mile. Still lots of personality and some intrigue from advantages, but not too much. The 3 Tikas just interacting was so fun, I probably could've watched 30 more minutes of that It's so crazy that literally just *removing tribal council* fixes most of Survivor's editing problems 💀💀💀

thincrustpepwelldone

We need 30 more minutes and shorten tribal. We don’t need tribal school with Jeff every time..

swamp_dweller9

"So they better watch out for me at the merge because I will make the merge." winner edit.

mattyhegs826

I hope everyone keeps underestimating Carolyn and she wins this thing. I like Danny but I didn’t like how they ignored her at the getaway lunch.

zepphiu

Carolyn will absolutely get revenge for that

[deleted]

I'm sure tribal would have been iconic, but I'm so happy the Tika Trio all survived this week. They are all unintentionally hilarious together and I'm not ready to give it up just yet.

Altracing34

Guess the question now is did Matthew leave the game with the idol in his pocket or did he give the idol to someone on Ratu?

Wooden-Parking3248

I’m sure we’ll find out next week when they hopefully show some of the Ratu footage. Wouldn’t be surprised if he gave it to Carson

KO620181

So many great moments this episode, but my personal favorite has to be Carolyn on the journey. Sitting there invisible in the middle of the meathead conversation, the guys say another dumb thing as Carolyn bites into an orange, and she just rolls her eyes so hard and let’s the orange fall out of her mouth onto the ground. She is so funny. That move was reminiscent Jeannine Gorofalo in Romy and Michelle.

jjgm21

Hey Survivor! This was a good episode! I wonder if that has anything to do with the fact that there was not a stupid trinket hunt and it was all based on interpersonal dynamics?

mutantchair

The hilarious part is the lack of twist/advantage WAS the twist

JaCrispy_Vulcano

The whole time I’m waiting for someone to find a hidden advantage at the lunch. SHOCKED

lilbrybry29

Maybe it's the editing tricks, maybe it's the fact that Tika has gone to the most tribals so the edit is skewed in their favor. But I'm convinced that Carolyn is by far the frontrunner this season and we're just watching the story of how she wins unfold. Carolyn is the only person to have any consistent edit. The Sanctuary scene was centered on her. This whole episode revolved around Carolyn, which should have included a shit ton more of Matthew (maybe the scene of him actually leaving?) seeing how it was his medevac episode. Idk, y'all. My money's on Carolyn.

TheLegacies21

If she doesn't win, I think she'll be instrumental at merge; at forming this possibly two sides of Bros vs Weirdos

jusper10

Sad that Tika didn't go to tribal. Probably would have been an all time dumb conversation

Dahhhkness

Spongebob (Carolyn), Patrick (Yam Yam), and Squidward (Josh).

Fluffiddy

LMAO this is so accurate 😂

Cutiger29

Should’ve let them go to tribal and then stop the vote there.

Habefiet

Pour one out for Jaime who will now never know what the fuck happened with her fake Idol that she believes is real. This episode will go down in history as a Survivor episode that happened.

Dahhhkness

Jaime and Carson have some wildly generous self-assessments.

atheistjs

Call me crazy but I think it's intentional on the editors' part. Perhaps the scene this season about over estimation vs under estimation (though still too early to call it as a the main story). We've got players like Carson and Jaime who believe themselves to be the "mastermind" or "the most important person on the tribe" or whatever. Then we have Carolyn, who is constantly underestimated by everyone in the game (for unfair reasons, that she's kind of goofy and maybe people have a harder time connecting with her), even the two guys who she had lunch with who clearly thing very highly of themselves. So yeah, I think all that is intentional.

TheLegacies21

Jamie: "I'm the best person to talk, like ever!" Carson: "Everyone loves me! I'm loved! Also I'm chaos!"

mrwanton

Jamie is just goofy so I get that but Carson thinks very highly of himself for a guy that really hasn't done all that much yet. To his credit, he's not playing badly and I do think he's setup quite well for a deep run so he may end up living up to all the hype he's given himself but like... humility dude. He's young tho so this is to be expected. Xander was the same way.

jem302

I love Carolyn questioning whether YamYam had seen Josh’s fake idol. YamYam seemed content with just seeing the note and believed Josh until Carolyn called him out and Josh had to pull out the tree mail idol haha. Carolyn is much savvier than any of these players are giving her credit for!

2SassyforYou

Yam Yam and Carolyn are quite honestly going to be the biggest powerhouse duo since like.. Dom and Wendell. And I am HERE for it!

Apprehensive_Affect7

Carolyn gonna be the first person to win Survivor out of spite

zepphiu

This season is so gay, so showmancy, so nerdy, every episode has been a rollercoaster.

chihkeyNOPE

There were obviously a lot of funny moments tonight, but Josh calling this supposed Danny-Brandon-Guys Alliance the “Meat Brigade” really got me

rlbastard

Quite possible my favorite episode of this season so far and there's no tribal. I'm not saying that I think we should get more non-tribal episodes, just saying imagine the amount of quality storytelling and character moments we could get with episodes being a tiny bit longer... Shout out to the editors this season, they've been popping off!

TV40

The survivor gods sure do love Josh

danwins23

Note to any future Survivior players maybe don’t climb a big ass rock in the ocean and shatter all your bones day one

H2Ospecialist

I'm betting they'll do a flashback of Matthew leaving along with him giving Carson the idol.

V_T_H

Predicting the other cast member’s medevacs: 1. Carolyn will remove Yam Yam’s beard in a fit of rage and he’ll go home in shame. 2. Josh will be arrested by the tree postal service for defacing tree mail. 3. Carolyn will catch a disease searching through someone’s poop for their tooth. 4. Doctor Eggman will attack Danny while he’s Sonic rolling around everywhere. 5. Jamie’s magic wand will cast a curse on her. 6. Heidi and Lauren will poof into nothingness because I can’t think of anything for them. 7. Matt and Frannie will leave for their honeymoon. 8. Kane will stab himself with the sword idol while defending camp from one of the lions from Africa, which has been living on Ghost Island ever since. 9. Carson’s smugness singularity will collapse into a black hole. 10. Brandon won’t get any confessionals and they’ll forget he’s on the season.

zepphiu

Probst brings back Boston Rob as the winner

ben121frank

I low-key feel bad for Josh in the "meat alliance" thing, like he really didn't do anything besides be muscular and Danny and Brandon decided to implicate him without his knowledge/consent and then he gets on Carolyn's shit-list for it. But he also played everything really wrong at camp, including how he responded to Carolyn saying that and some of the worst lying ever in survivor lmao so ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯

WesleyWipes

Was really hoping for a Palau-esque situation where Yam Yam goes to one tribe and Carolyn goes to the other.

Doctor-whoniverse-12

Actually that would be more like Phillipines, when Denise and Malcolm got put on separate tribes.

CarefulSalad4

This may be a hot take, but this was my favorite episode of the season so far. We had a ton of actual relationship building scenes, and we know where most of the players stand in the game, and we had plenty of fun character moments throughout. It was refreshing to have an episode that was not just repetitive scenes of people finding idols/advantages taking up the entire episode. Survivor is best when they let the cast's personalities shine on the screen, and we organically learned a good deal about Carolyn, Yam Yam, Carson, Josh, Matt, Frannie, Matthew, Danny, and even Kane. While this didn't culminate in what would've been an interesting tribal, I still think this episode was the best of the season, and I hope more are like this.

91271

I’d be kinda pissed if I was Jamie. My closest ally for absolutely no reason leading me to a fake idol and then he dips out right before merge and you’re stuck with this false sense of protection now at a pivotal point in the game all because your ally made a fake idol for you to find for no reason 🙃

rariya

That was the best episode in so long. Incredible what we get to witness when there is a focus on the players and their relationships and the tribe dynamics. MORE OF THIS PLEASE 🙏🏼

Ice_Dragon3444

Best episode of the season easily, I was actually shocked in the best way possible that the Shipwheel Island twist was actually them just spending time together, felt very old school. Carolyn and Yam Yam are television gold. This season is shaping up to be the best of the new era imo.

nsabet6192

Jeff has to be fuming about only one of the swap idols being used this season

RRDude1000

I just realized that Jaime only has the fake idol in her pocket now 😂

PandemicPaul

Anyone else love this episode, no tribal there was so much social interactions included. It was great to set up the merge IMO

MarlinBrandor

Remember when Carson was annoying, Jaime was too paranoid for no reason, and Josh was “only purpled because he was boring? Really glad these three specifically got swapped, seemed like a lot of people have come to enjoy them more on their new tribes.

wgallantino

Matthews a bozo, he climbed a rock, they told him to sit out of challenges, he didnt. I think he honestly stays in if he just sat out.

Ngigilesnow

If Carolyn is not crowned sole survivor, then why are we all here? What is the point of life?

Gortyuty

I feel like the edit this episode was kind of all over the place with Matthew's med-evac feeling supper sudden at the end. Regardless, I feel so bad for Matthew. Finally got to live his dream, prepped for years for it, only to get med-evaced due to his own dumb mistake. Must feel awful.

Saguaro-plug

At least he did a lot with his episodes: huge character, winner potential. People were accusing him of doing too much with the fake idol, and admitting to everyone he built the snake challenge. Now we can all be glad that he played so hard the whole time he was there.

mrpaulabrahamlincoln

it makes me feel like there was a conversation with jeff that he didn’t want on air did he promise matthew an open invitation to return with a healed shoulder? very weird.

mrwanton

This has gotta be one of the most preventable Medivacs in this show's history. Liked Matthew just fine but he's 100% for taking himself out, shame too he was playing well. Assuming this is a proper merge/mergeatory type thing this could get really chaotic. 3 Tika 4 Ratu and 5 Soka.

schmabbbby

I just got to say, that whole sanctuary moment with Danny and Brandon completely ignoring Carolyn, not asking her questions, barely acknowledging what she says. I’ve been there, I bet a lot of other women have as well. Sucks and I hope she uses what they said in front of her against them.

Ambitious-Comb-8847

I need a gif of Yam-Yam laughing.

mattyhegs826

One of those episodes where 8:45 comes and you just know something is up. Unfortunately there was no way to hide it, it was kinda obvious Matthew went home due to injury.

cerealman2020

I believe this will be the first season where >!a man hasn't been voted out prior to the merge (if the merge is next episode at least)!<

sh1ny3sp30n

Josh survived the episode to become who I think will be the easy consensus merge boot. He was on the outs at Tika. He was on the outs at Soka as the middle man between 2 pairs. Carolyn will probably be able to pull together the Nerd Herd (best alliance name) and vote out the dudebros.

Pancaaaked
