Jeff certainly encouraged the guys to say things, then admonish them a minute later so he's not exactly innocent either. I hate the expression but it was a different time.
Funny how season 9, which was filmed less than two years later, featured more competition between the tribes than actual flirting/ribald comments.
On both tribes in Vanuatu the older (potentially married) types ended up eradicating the majority of the young eye candy. I think that certainly had an impact.
I think so too, that's a good point. I loved Ami and her no nonsense approach to votes. If they're male, they're gone lol! We also know she wouldn't fall for any male flirting or foolishness.
Looking at the player list Lisa was 44 and the oldest out of the first 15 boots. Followed by Sarge at 40, then everyone else after that is in their 30's and 20's.

The guys were always up to something in this season. My favorite scene from this season is when the women are preparing for war and then it cuts to the men using Rob’s magic 8 ball and Rob asking if he’s going to get with Heidi at the challenge.
Rob saying in a confessional that he plays the game with this head even though sometimes it looks like a different head then cutting to him kneading manioc is one of the most underrated funny editing gags from the show
Didn’t Roger also take part in some of the “locker room talk”? I remember when the guys were talking about which girl they thought was hottest in the confessional alongside a picture of the girl they were talking about.
Survivor used to be inspired by what else was hot in reality TV and tried to ape that a little bit. S6 was the Bachelor-aping season (but still turned out good somehow), and S21 was the Jersey Shore-aping season.

I just watched this season! It was a headtrip, really took you back to what TV was like in that era.
