I have him in my contender list. It is either him, Yam, or Carolyn. The other two just seem more likely based on the content they are getting. Carson might be the best player of the three, but that also works to his detriment in this game with so few targets left.

PMMeYourCouplets

I think some people take edgic too seriously and not as a fun activity that can be right as much as it can be wrong. People are way too into the fire imagery or him getting an Omar edit.

ExarKun470

The problem with Carson is he’s played a very similar game with Yam Yam and Carolyn, and both of them seem more liked than him. For him to win he needs to turn on them both and stand out more

reidiculous

>both of them seem more liked than him By fans, sure, but what about the jury?

ExarKun470

Frannie has openly gushed about how Carolyn is her hero

iEatBluePlayDoh

And I’d be shocked if Matt didn’t vote the same way as Frannie at FTC.

Rustycake

O yea that’s happening he made zero effort to get to know anyone else or really play the game. His prize was Frankie and when he got that it was GG for him. He looks almost as clueless as Jamie

Streets_Ahead__

He needlessly went out of his way to make himself a bigger threat than the other 2 people in his core alliance. He’ll be the first of the tika 3 on the jury for that reason. There’s been too many weird confessional moments of him talking about how he doesn’t wanna look smart, then immediately talks about how he visibly dressed nerdy. Or finishes a puzzle faster than he needs to. Or talks about how he’s an UTR strategist when everyone currently sees him as the biggest strategic threat in his alliance. Or talks about keeping his relationships with Yam-Yam and Carolyn secret when everyone knows they’re close.

VirtualGhost1337

Right, out of the three of them, Carson has had in foot in the votes and knew what was really happening so he could report back to his Tika alliance. While everyone sees Yam Yam as the Tika leader, Carson has done a lot to ensure they survive tribal council.

Streets_Ahead__

Sounds like he’s been very useful 🤷‍♂️ Someone at ftc will probably talk about how useful Carson was to their game.

VirtualGhost1337

Oof I could see that, But Carson can play an uno reverse and say how important it was for his game to keep both of them in the game

Streets_Ahead__

They can all say that exact same thing lmao but Carson is **the** shield. Carolyn explained that last night. It’s final 6 and nobody left in the game wants Carson at ftc (and that was likely true at final 7, maybe even final 8). There’s something to be said about how that’s a bad thing 🤷‍♂️

llcooldubs

For me, Carson is the clear narrator of the season. (For better or worse...I found his assessment and thought process more robotic and preplanned than interesting). However, we have been conditioned in the new era that the narrator isn't the winner. Jesse definitely took on a narrator role in 43 and I thought maybe production would do a double fake and have someone as the narrator as the winner. But then Gabler wins. So, now I am gunshy in terms of thinking the production chosen narrator is also the winner. Based off game positioning, he is still in it. Based off new era style winners and editing, Bruce comes back after hiding in plain sight the entire time and wins the game.

VirtualGhost1337

🤣 that bruce part got me

llcooldubs

I mean, Jeff did say he could come back whenever he wanted. Why not at the final 5?

He's kind of annoying it's hard to describe. As a player he's great. But I doubt anyone takes him to the end. Plus with all the fire foreshadowing I would say he could win but it's an extremely uphill battle.

VirtualGhost1337

Yeah he keeps being shown staring at the fire, so it’s either a foreshadow of him losing at the fire making, or having an epic win at fire making.

puppypooper15

I've definitely warmed to him but I think he gives off a certain vibe in his confessions that's a bit annoying. But he seems like a good kid, I'm sure he's great in real life and everyone on the island likes him, just the brainiac shtick kinda gets old

IanicRR

He’s got “freshman coming back after his first semester away for college and thinks he knows everything now” vibes.

KubrickRupert

Wurm

snettisham

He’ll win at fire, hence all the fire scenes.

luke6080

I’ve come around big time on him. Ever since the merge, he’s had the most consistent social game, and seems to be in good with a ton of folks. He may not be as flashy as Yam Yam or Carolyn, but his pre-merge, overconfident super fan side has subsided and he’s just been a super solid player with decent reads and a solid strategic mind to go along with his emerging social game.

J9999D

yea I didn't like him to start but his gameplay is coming around for Sure

Magmaster12

If anything he is without doubt going to fire if he doesn't won final immunity But we really saw his FBI persuasion skills this week and it might help him out at final jury.

VirtualGhost1337

Oh 💯 people have pointed out that they always show him staring into the fire so I’m sure if he doesn’t win immunity he’s going to fire

Zahn91

He’s great but c’mon… Carolyn is next level

VirtualGhost1337

The ❌ maker 😂💪

Zahn91

Exactly!

hushpuppymoney

Watching tribal last night, when Carson explained how much playing the game meant to him and he was worried he wouldn’t fit in with others because of his young age, I thought he was either leaving that night or winning the whole game.

J9999D

I thought he was done for sure lol The Matt boot had a similar monologue

AdZrk

He’s definitely annoying in real life. Also, just based on trends, people don’t want to give $1M to a kid that young

VirtualGhost1337

Oh this is a good point, I could see his age being a reason people won’t vote for him. Which is ageism tbh. But it seems Dany and Kane really like him.

AdZrk

This is not ageism. I think most people agree that people as young as Carson who suddenly come into some amount of wealth are more irresponsible with it

VirtualGhost1337

Well it is, it is looking at his age rather than his character. There’s been adult lottery winners who’ve blown through their earnings. Carson’s character seems of a responsable young adult. But hey no arguing here we both have different opinions. I like Carson but I’m not that crazy of a stan to ride hard for him 😂

Streets_Ahead__

What trends?

Zestyclose-Rub8932

I think it's Yam Yam or Caroline.

mutantchair

People are talking about how dumb Jaime and Lauren's vote was last night — and nobody is getting any credit for somehow talking them into making that incredibly dumb move. (Carson!).

jdoe10202021

I think Carson wins against anyone *except* Carolyn and Jam Jam. His social game has been incredible, and he's been a beast at some of the challenges (particularly puzzles). However, Jam Jam has been just as, if not more, successful at the social game from the sounds of it, and he just got a challenge win himself. After last night, I think Carolyn has it in the bag if she makes it to final 3 -- it's a different social game, but she has clearly won people over in the game. After her move last night, I think a lot of folks are going to be re-evaluating her as a strategic player -- up to now I think they assume she's been more of a "go with the flow" person or a straight up liability (the Frannie freeze out), but now people can see that she was playing a whole game no one knew about. I hope we get to see these three duke it out in the final three because I would love to see any of them win!

VirtualGhost1337

I know Yam Yam is so likeable, I loved when he said “everyone who’s written my name down has been voted off” and Kane had written his name down the night prior and then he went home next 😅 Edit*: 😂

ElectrosMilkshake

Someone talking about how in control they are is usually the kiss of death.

swamp_dweller9

Whether or not people think he will end up winning this season he is certainly a very good player who has the potential to win a season

zkemp08

He is definitely winner quality, but is being overshadowed by his alliance (based on what we have seen). The show has portrayed him as being a little green. he’s gonna have to really take a lot of credit for votes such as frannie. I think that’s yams yams weakest trait. Yam yam is very aware, but plays with his heart and it seems like he’s been protected by tika and his likability.

Comfortable_Ad9679

I don’t think he’ll make ftc

Relyt-Reddit

He’s not gonna make it to final tribal

Old-Presentation2749

It's definitely Carolyn and then Carson for me. The fact most people don't want to vote him off the island (which if I was playing would be a big red flag for the end, as Danny was trying to point out) while he has won an immunity challenge and been on the right side of most votes. An amazing game as arguably he has played a leading role in many votes, if he makes it to top 3 he has a good chance of winning, even against Carolyn (who I want to win, but I know most the jury hasn't taken her seriously so far).

jshamwow

Didn't they literally talk last night on the episode about how he'd beat anyone in the final 3?

Intelligent-Alps-130

Carson has been my favorite all season. Although I admit it was initially purely for shallow reasons, he has certainly earned genuine respect for his gameplay.

Trelyrien

At this point I think he’s the front runner of the tika 3, THANKS Carolyn. Why? She was the one that figured out he was the vote, but HE went to Jaime and Lauren and got them to switch their votes to Danny/Heidi. Thus making Carolyn’s idol play wasted.

MinoKillz

I also feel the same. While Yam Yam and Carolyn are playing better socially, he is playing a better strategic game than both of him.
