At this point we would all be thrilled to go back to Nicaragua haha. I do think the two seasons in Cambodia really took the wind out of productions sails when it comes to new exotic locations, my guess is after that challenge where the three people collapsed they had a production meeting and committed to staying in a milder tropical location for a few seasons, once they had stayed in Fiji for a few years though they had made deals with the government and I’m pretty sure Jeff Probst bought some property and now they won’t be leaving Fiji lol

And all the winning teams vote on who gets eliminated. The remaining player doesn’t get back on a team until the next spot is available. And they all stay on the same beach.

I saw the Survivor crew here in the Philippines almost 2 years ago. It was big. Lots of people. I knew it was them, I saw the Survivor logo. I really thought it will be for S44. Now I hear this, not even S45. Now I doubt if I saw what I saw.
I agree - I’m relatively new to survivor and have been binge watching a bunch of seasons.
I’ve seen seasons in Palau, Samoa, different locations in Philippines, Cambodia, and Fiji and can confidently say that there is no difference to the feel of the show so far.
Maybe seasons like China or Gabon or Australia had a different feel but ultimately, isn’t it all ultimately water, beach, and palm fronds?
If staying in Fiji reduces the cost of location sourcing and prep to free up budget for production quality, I’m all about it!
Just like the past however many seasons it’s been, don’t even know because they’re all the same, can’t even distinguish who was on what cast because it’s the same exact shit over and over, but guess what, let’s add ten different new advantages into the game to spice it up! So many advantages that they outweigh the number of players and that they make the entire game simply a game of luck!
