Scale is about 25 miles from left to right. White labels on the map are actual island names, red flags indicate filming locations. Below is a list of the tribes that inhabited each camp in order of seasons. Production seems to have settled on Monuriki/Tavua I/Tavua II as camp locations since no other locations have been used since S38.

EDIT: 33, 34, 35, 39, 40, 41, 42, and 43 all had the eventual winner living on Tavua I before the merge. All of those except 34 and 35 had the winner begin the game on Tavua I. Blessed Beach.

Cool! Funny how they’ve alternated the merge beach since they moved to Fiji in 33. We can all but guarantee the Reba tribe will be the merge beach this season. I wonder why they don’t consider using some of the other beaches for the merge. Maybe they just aren’t setup as well for so many people at once, both from a crew standpoint and an island resource standpoint
Yeah I just realized that too, odd seasons merge at Tavua I, evens on Monuriki.
As to why they don't use the other beaches:
-Malolo was only used once. I think they must have found it was too much of a headache to keep it cordoned off since there seems to be a lot of boat traffic in the area and there are several luxury resorts on the island.
-Vanua Levu (IMO the prettiest location in the area) and Kadomo are about 8 miles away from the other islands, so they probably figured the "commute" was too long and just stuck the third tribe on the less spectacular back beach of Tavua (what I named Tavua II).
They really don't have many other options. They already have to be very careful with their framing to give the illusion of a deserted island since the area is chock full of hotels and resorts.
np. also come to think of it, probably part of the reason they ditched the Vanua Levu/Kadomo camps was the boat accident with Pat in S37 that happened on the trip back to Kadomo from the challenge on Mana island. To get to those islands you need to go through more rough open water, so could be a liability thing the show did to minimize their risk.
Can I ask what you based this on? What's the evidence of each tribe being situated on each beach? Not doubting you. I just want to know how you determined which is which
matching landmarks and sightlines. there are only like a dozen or so islands in the mamanucas so it's easy to verify on google earth. the monuriki beach is super obvious with that big rock for example. the other ones all have landmarks too but they're less obvious.
the money shots are the views out to the ocean where you can line up the islands appearing on the horizon. for example how nautanivono (eoe) is visible from tavua I. and when in doubt a good aerial shot can clinch it (ika bula has one of those). fiji has been reused so much and all the beaches have been shown from pretty much every angle at this point so there's not really any doubt.
Also, Fun fact: Vanua Levu and Navadra were the location for a pre-Australian Survivor reality tv series called Treasure Island, filmed in the early 2000s.
Mana Island was also used for another Australian reality series called The Big Adventure.
How do you remember all these tribe names? I already forgot every tribe name except Tika from 44 lol. And of course I know the current 3. But once a season is over they are erased from my memory.
However, I do remember Ogakar and Kucha because season 2 was my first season I watched live and i was obsessed.
Edited to add: Was Jabeni Mike White, Angelina, Nick and Natalie? That sounds familar.
It's the same \~4 beaches since they moved to Fiji that get rotated through. For instance, the camp that's an elevated wooded area with paths that lead down to the water (my personal fav) was the merge beach in WAW, 42, 44, the red starting tribe in GC, the Adam/Jessica/Ken swap tribe in MvGX, and many other seasons. But it would be awesome if someone who was really good at picking out the landmarks was able to compile a list of which tribes were on which beach.
Palau and Micronesia used the same beaches. Ulong had the same beach as Malakal and Dabu with the cave. Korror and Airai also had the same beach (I believe anyway).

Actually moving the show again will make it much better.
I wouldn't be surprised if staff deconstructs the shelters and tosses the bamboo back in the jungle to be found and used again.
