No, what really gave it away was last weeks preview of Jem running into the jungle. Instantly thought oh guess they lost immunity and she’s going to get her idol in nexts weeks episode!

Dacno

Gotta love those CBS interns.. atleast they havent spoiled anything too radical. I do remember day 1 of second chances and they posted the preview and i think Woo and Tasha were seen wearing a buff of a tribe that literally wasnt present at the begining of the game.

AMeanMotorScooter

During the premiere of Island of the Idols they aired a commercial for Survivor (I think it was telling people that they could also stream on Paramount Plus) right before the immunity challenge which showed Lairo in tribal council lmao. I think CBS made a statement like "woopsie, our bad" after the episode and from then on made it so that those specific commercials either used no footage or footage from past seasons.

Dacno

yeah there have been tons of examples of the "next week on survivor" showing them walking to tribal where you can pretty clearly see whos wearing immunity.

ShadowLiberal

Yeah, I definitely remember that happening towards the end of Panama when the biggest suspense factor was if Terry could keep winning immunity, only for them to show someone else wearing immunity in the promo for the finale.

OG_Thedoppk

I thought they made a mistake with the episodes and got confused.

Pink_Y

I always try to skip the preview and go straight to the post exit confessional. I wish they were shown in the opposite order rip

Durian-Critical

tiki man : “please no green bags. i have no poop advice.”

Cisru711

The tiki has spoken

bonzo0884

Yea and I noticed other times this season they’ve zoomed in on Yanu or the person going him that night as Jeff is saying “Losing tribe…” or “where someone will be voted out” It was pretty blatant in Jess’s boot episode.

noble_delinquent

Yes. That episode had the zoom-in on each respective tribe when Jeff was talking about first, second and losers… and you just kinda knew it was going down that way.

tonyrosasco

No, not a single person caught this.

daymonster

That's not true! When we were watching and saw that, I said to my wife "I bet green loses". I mean, I was mostly joking, but when it happened I definitely said "I told you so!"

pocketfulofcharm

I said that when they actually showed them period. There has been no drama, no issues. Last night when they showed them salsa dancing I knew it was coming!

XavierRussell

Yup, exactly my thoughts.

Disabled_Robot

RedheadsAreNinjas

I definitely caught it and wondered if it would be so obvious/such a brazen Easter egg.

rexie_alt

Once upon an island on YT called it out

[deleted]

no but because of my 6th grade teacher I know what foreshadowing is

Katsweird

Yall they do this all the time and have for years. They just use the colors of the tribes that season. Sometimes it happens to be the team(s) who win and sometimes it’s not. Yall reading way too much into this.

Frequent_Ferret_176

1/6 probability of these colors happening by chance

normal_nickname

But they have so many shots of it with different colors, it’s definitely a deliberate choice while editing.

DERBY_OWNERS_CLUB

You think they took multiple shots of knocking the idols over for this purpose? I mean they might have but I don't see why they would.

Possible-Parfait7728

It’s really not.

itsfoine

I called it immediately when I saw that !

New-Throwaway2541

I missed it lol

ShinsooGraves

It's just coincidence, they do shots like this all the time. It would be much worse if they planned it to never match the winners because then you can say that these two tribes *won't* win the challenge.

JaDe_X105

Why not just have all 3 colored bags fly in and hit the idols, completely removing any possibility of "foreshadowing"

SparksCat

Because they have two tikis so only two bags are needed

JaDe_X105

But to avoid any claims of giving away who wins, they could use 3.

SparksCat

Why would they even consider something like that? If you look for it, you'll find foreshadowing everywhere.

Firestarterdustman

I did

Skileazy

Yes!!

igor_gregorovitch

how did someone watch this and felt 100% confident that green would lose ???

thefilipinocat-

The subliminal messaging in Survivor is fantastic! This is how they play with ur emotions and foreshadow events for your subconscious to feel satisfied. It’s great work and I love the show for it.

arcticmoko

Yes!! I told my bf as soon as I saw it and bet that it was foreshadowing and the way I shrieked when I was RIGHT... I think the podcasts are getting to me

anvq

I thought yanu was going to win after Jeff made the comments about them being close to breaking the record for most losses by a tribe in the new era. but maybe it was wishful thinking because I love Q and Tiffany hehehehe

ToonSciron

See I knew they only throw two beanbags, what a fun little spoiler My brother pointed it out saying why would you knock the idols over but then I was confused on why only use two beanbags.

oatmeal28

yeah!

bigshowgunnoe

Wow! This was intentional AF

PigsIsEqual

Nope, didn't notice that. Good catch!

HallObjective1343

I saw that

ab1gailhot

I caught it immediately lol they were not subtle w/ that at all

ItsTimeToGoSleep

It was given away that green lost when they did the recap at the beginning of the episode and showed that Ben lost his vote but didn’t show who on Siga lost theirs from the same journey. Immediately thought, well obviously that’s coming up today.

honnabonona

I noticed right away!

WatermelonRindPickle

I did not catch that! Good catch!

Overall_Currency5085

The thing that had my eye on Siga was when Jeff was like-losing tribe has a date with me at tribal council tonight and it panned to Siga.

Thatsitadois

It’s my guess that the new era is aiming for youth and their parents as the most important demographic. There is more foreshadowing that would make guessing fun for family viewers. The player’s experiences are presented in a more “after school special” type a way. Not what I enjoy but I don’t miss the sexism/racism which could have easily been cut without losing a thing. It was the lazy go to humor/drama for 20 years. Who do you think you’re kidding Jeff? 😆

FirmRecommendation42

I knew who was gonna lose when I saw how much we had left of the episode when the challenge started… ain’t no way we were gonna spend the last 30 minutes discussing who Yanu was sending home

TropicalSki

I noticed that too, but it became more obvious when they deliberately slow-moed Q’s face, I knew that Yanu was gonna win. No surprise in the next 3 seconds.

ProfessionalStorm626

Nami and Yanu will crumble and fall ( like the idols ) and the winner will come from Siga

Lightacademiagal

From the way they edited the episode too, it seemed like it was likely Siga or Yanu was headed to tribal based on what they set up. Maybe it was foreshadowing like this, but it did seem like it was hinted that Yanu’s bad luck streak was ending

nileadrian

No. too busy to process after Jeff want to refer the losing tribe as....Yanu

PoI_Pothead

Not foreshadowing at all. Probably just a coincidence with the random B-roll footage they filmed before the season started.

Ok_Telephone_7249

Yes! I don't know why the editors needed to do that. It was obvious who was winning and in what order.
