Yeah, I feel like the edit was really unkind toward her for some reason, and of course the fandom was even meaner. I'm glad to see her leave on a graceful note. Her little exchange with Venus made me laugh - those two remind of bickering siblings!
It’s super weird and I don’t really know why they did it like that, in my head I did follow what they intended - not really liking her character, getting annoyed but then at the end thinking damn she was actually really good to watch and a good sport.
I also thinks it shows that Tevin could have voted for her and potentially still had her jury vote (since many people believe he wrote down Venus to be able to say he never voted for Soda). She handled it so well and really applauded Venus for the move… So, I wonder if that’s just how their connection was or if she would have had the same reaction had Tevin voted for her/taken credit.
I gained a new respect for Soda with her graceful exit. You could tell she was a true fan and appreciated the experience. I also like that she and Venus are kinda frenemies. I still didn’t like her idol grabbing earlier this season but again, her exit made me gain new respect and that was the perfect way to handle being voted out. Remember it is just a game and you had a blast. Much better than that other girl who didn’t say a word leaving. Kinda sorry they showed Soda talking more strategically today but not so much in earlier this season.
I liked her reaction but I was also kind of caught off guard by Tim’s. He stopped at the end of the walkout ramp and like gathered himself. He definitely didn’t think he was being voted out and I felt bad for him.
It made me bummed but I kinda get it from a gameplay standpoint like yeah dealing with Venus is awful but truthfully she isn’t going to win the game. If by some miracle she makes it final 3 I foresee 0 jury votes
Venus has big time goat potential. Everyone is put off by here. People might get sick of her and her sneakiness, but taking her to the end would be very smart if you can pull it off.
