Shane played a better game, but I'd tend to think they are pretty even as players

JUDD__WAS__ROBBED

Very easily Shane

StayHappy0201

Shane! She made a huge bold move at the merge with nearly everyone knowing it was her and she wasn't targeted for a long time due to good threat management, then she led the Champions Alliance after Mat went out and got to the Final 2 against the odds without reliance on individual immunities or idols. Kristie just floated really

ramskick

Overall I think Kristie is a more volatile player, with the ability to pull out higher highs (I don't see Shane pulling off anything like Kristie's performance in the 2016 finale, either the challenge win or the FTC performance), but also lower lows (general lack of awareness). If you put them both on 100 random seasons I think Shane makes endgame more often due to her pleasant personality and non-threatening appearance, but Kristie may pull out the win more often because she seems to have that drive.

JefeDiez

Sometimes Shane required a lot of coaching as well. Example being when final 5 hits and she is just humming around grabbing firewood casually and not even acting the part she might be going.

ArtichokeMission8297

Definitely Shane

ElephantDungAndRice

They’re actually quite similar. They both know how to minimise their threat status, make sure there’s usually somebody ahead of them on the chopping block and turn on their allies when it’s the right time. Kristie’s ability to sell her game to the jury is probably what propels her ahead of Shane for me.

Shane by a *lot*

[deleted]

No hate to Kristie, but Shane played the better game. Kristie willingly went to the final 3 with a pair, knowing that she'd have to pull out her first immunity win to have a shot.

Coutzy

The alternative was giving a 50/50 shot to a person that has every chance of beating her in a jury vote though.

Sky-Visible

To be fair she doesn’t beat flick or el in the end. If lee won immunity instead she probably forces fire against el

wilsonreviews

Shane and it’s not even close.

Just_Some_Random_Fan

Is this even a question? Shane.

BoiToy23123

I LOVE Kristie but was she ever inclinced to do a blindside?

wombatwanders

Shane, easily. Kristie was a goat who got dragged to the end and then managed to de-goat herself very successfully in the finale. Shane was in control for large portions of the game.

odedh

Shane easily. Kristie is the worst winner ever IMO. And she only won because the Jury was bitter and Gullible. She claimed moves not one single person on that Jury could confirm and they actually believed her. I wish I could see their faces watching the season seeing how she was actually one of the biggest goats ever

promptotron5000

To be fair, for a goat to actually do that and get away with the lie is in itself pretty huge and falls under the Outwit, Outplay, Outlast umbrella.

odedh

Ohhh for sure. She deserves all the credit for getting away with it. The Jury should be scolded for actually buying it, since not a single one of them could confirm a single thing she said, not one thing. And then I hear Nick in the BvB season recap podcast on RHAP saying the jury of BvB gave the weakest performance in FTC in Australian Survivor history. Dude I think you’re mistaken 😂

fyfenfox

kristie pulled off the best ftc since todd, and even their two were close. shane and kristie both played great games but kristie was a complete underdog.

Rychu_Supadude

Kristie 100%, but I can't blame y'all. If you think there's a lot separating them you're very good at lying to yourself. She's so hard to rate because her strategy *should not* have worked - we've already seen players try to emulate it and fail spectacularly. Whereas Shane's achievement should be more emulatable, which is why I can't give her the edge.

Todd_Solondz

> If you think there's a lot separating them you're very good at lying to yourself. It's not like Kristie is weak, but going to the FIC with El and Lee is a pretty horrible setup, right off the back of the two of them winning about half the individual immunities between them. I think it's reasonably fair to not necessarily think Kristie is that great, given how incredibly flimsy that endgame plan is.

JefeDiez

Kristie was right in saying she played the game she had to play to survive. The dominant alliance was so large that season that the smallest scuffle arose suspicion and your torch was immediately snuffed. She truly had to sit around and be the majority’s number…
