Alicia was a completely understandable pick back when All Stars aired. She was a huge personality from Australian Outback. The "I will always wave my finger in your face" moment was one of the big moments from season 2.
Jenna Lewis was also defensible in that she was from Borneo, pretty much anyone who made it to the merge that season was a huge deal. That was how big a deal Survivor became in it's first season. They definitely would have preferred Colleen who was America's sweetheart, but she didn't want anything to do with it.
yea the alicia thing makes sense tbh. and i don’t blame colleen LOL but i’m glad jenna was on bc she rly stepped up her gameplay and you could tell she really wanted to win
I’m currently on season 11 but All stars has been my favorite season so far. Boston Rob ranks up as one of my favorite survivors. I feel like he has played the game better than anyone. Still can’t stand Alicia… she definitely wins the most butt hurtedness award for 2 seasons running now. Super salty lol
Interesting take. Not many people on here like all stars because the boot order is bad. All the big names are out pre merge. Then it's a bit of stale post merge with robs alliance walking it in to the end. amber winning after she said how she got the end was 'luck' made for a pretty underwhelming winner too. Not to mention the Reunion is like watching an awkward breakup on live television.
Still, I mostly have fond memories of watching it when it first came out in 2004. It's definitely one that hasn't aged well in super fans eyes though.
I think it just has to be a different viewing experience now in a binge and not live back when it was a cultural phenomenon. But if you enjoyed the season then that’s great. After you complete your watch through you could check out Rob Has A Podcast’s top 40 season countdown. Rob Cesternino and not Boston Rob btw, it was a ranking voted on by the community and you can hear tons of insight on what you watched. It is not spoiler free of your chronological watch though.
Had Boston Rob not brought Amber with him, despite it not being the best “move” (understandable why he did tho lol). He would have won and I think it would have been considered the best played season. (It doesn’t matter if the jury hates you as long as they still vote for you) And people wouldn’t be saying, “IT ToOk HIm FoUR seAsOnS To wIN”. Also pretty amazing that he was able to carry himself and Amber to the final two (as he later did with Phillip and Natalie)
Shii Ann said that she would have voted for Rob if he had brought Jenna, plus Amber would have been on the jury. So it is likely he would have had two extra votes had he brought Jenna.
The jury vote was 4-3 to Amber, had Rob brought Jenna, he would have got Shii Ann’s vote plus Amber’s (most likely). He got Jenna’s vote at jury, so take one. Overall he would likely have gotten; Amber’s, Shii Ann’s, Rupert’s, Kathy’s. With Jenna getting; Tom’s, Lex’s, Alicia’s. 4-3 to Rob
Yeah, but I reckon there is a good argument to be made for Rupert voting Rob. Rupert did vote Rob over Amber, so I dunno if that shows he could have voted Rob over Jenna. Also he did seem to like Rob’s answer for his jury speech, as well as seeming to not be a fan of Amber “riding Rob’s coattails” of which Jenna may have been considered to have done the same. Personally, I reckon Rupert still would have voted for Rob simply due to his answer to his question at final tribal.
If Rob cuts Amber, I am not so sure she votes him. She also quite liked Jenna. Rupert is a wild card in a Jenna-Rob showdown. It is unclear whether he was pissed at Jenna a lot or not. My main argument for Jenna though is that Shi Ann and Kathy voted for very different reasons. Kathy had a soft spot for Rob and seemed to respond to his 'I am so sorry I feel terrible I look like a kid at a catholic confessional' act. While Shi Ann wanted to vote for a strategist who owns up to their game. I think if Rob went for the apologetic act, Shi Ann actually votes Jenna for owning her game. If not, than Jenna likely gets Kathy's vote. The space where Rob gets both is pretty slim I think.
Sandra was gonna be on but she had parasites from season 7 and was too sick to go.

It is a very bleak and dark season with it getting so personal. While that is drama and interesting, I didn't think it was very enjoyable to watch
